Chapter 7 - Monster in the mirror

" I'm sorry prince Lucina ". The lady apologize which made me all confused.

" Don't worry, you may leave now!!!. I'll just deal with her myself ". Prince Josh said.

The lady bow her head before leaving the room, but gave me a deadly stare, causing me to hold my breath.

" So can you just spill out what's going on ?". I ask Josh while walking to him.

The clothes which I had worn before going to dinner with my parents were no longer on my body anymore.

I found myself putting on a maid cloth, which looks like a student uniform.

" What is your name young lady ?". Prince Josh asks causing a mockery laugh to escape from my mouth.

" You can act serious Okay!!!. And why are you behaving bossy....... ". Astrid ask. " please don't mind me asking but how come did I end up in your room, because last night after having dinner, I'm certain that I went to my room, not yours ".

Lucian waits for her to finish talking and when no words were coming out of her mouth again, he smiled before asking her a question.

" Are you done talking ?". he asks.

" Hahaha, this is getting wired prince Josh, and I'm sorry for coming to your room, even though I don't have any idea of how I ended up in your room ". Astrid apologizes.

" I hold no gurges, but can I at least know your name young lady ?".

Astrid was already getting mad, but just as the saying goes, a princess most not get mad for no good reason.

" My name is Issa..... Astrid ".

" Is your name Issaastrid or Astrid ?". Lucian asks raising a brow.

" My name is Issa... Astrid, sorry just call me Astrid ".

Every time she is about to say Isabella, the name Astrid just keeps coming out of her mouth.

" That's a lovely name, but my name isn't prince Josh, my name is prince Lucian ". Lucian said.

Astrid rolled her eyes and sighed. She taught that she had finally woken up from her dream, but by the look of things, she seems to haven't woken up.

Astrid arranges her gown properly, but since it wasn't a big gown she couldn't feel comfortable putting her hands on her stomach so she placed her hands beside her gown and headed towards the door.

She was about to reach the door when she saw a long mirror at her front.

" Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!!!! ". Astrid screamed while running away from the mirror as she went behind Lucian to hid.

" Do you know that maid aren't allowed to touch the prince whenever they feel like, and why did you have to screen like that ?". he asked.

" I saw something..... I saw something just now and it's scary ". She said while crying.

" What did you see ?". Lucian asks her while turning around to face her.

" I saw something.... I'm serious it looks like a monster ". she said while holding him so tight that he won't be able to escape if he has any plan on escaping from her.

" So where was the thing you saw ?". Lucian asks her.

" At the mirror, the creature was looking at me ".

" Okay!!! let go of my shirt, and I would help you drive the creature aw.. ".

Lucian hasn't completed his statement, but Astrid didn't spare him a second as she let go of his white long sleeve and gave him space for him to go and kill the monster.

" Thanks!!! ". prince Lucina said as he uses his hands to straighten his shirt before walking towards the mirror.

" I'm not seeing any other thing here except my reflection, so please can you take your leave now, because there's no monster creature beside the mirror ". Lucian said.

Astrid didn't believe him, but she still summoned up the courage to walk.

She started walking like a snail while playing with her nails until she gets to the mirror.

She didn't want to stare at the mirror because she still didn't believe this so-called prince Lucina. Her instinct got the best of her and she found herself staring at the mirror.

" Nooooooooooo.... ". she screamed out as she hugs prince Lucina from behind while hiding her face at the back of his shirt. She holds his shirt so tight that her grip on his shirt might make his shirt torn out.

" Did you see anything ?". Lucian asked.

" Yes!!! or didn't you ?". Astrid asks Lucian.

" No.... I'm not seeing anything except the reflection of ourselves ".

" Are you not seeing that...... ". She became short of words when she found out that the scary monster was no other person but her.

Her brain had already diluted the idea that the vampire stuff was all a dream, but seeing how white her hair is made a lot of water form on her eyes.

" Prince Josh, tell me the truth am I dead ?". Astrid asks while letting go of prince Lucian's shirt.

" Why are you asking such a question, and please can you leave my room now, I have an important meeting to attend ".

Astrid kept on staring at herself in the mirror with a surprised eye. She holds her hair up and to her surprise, something unexpected caught her attention, which was her long ear which her hair had cover before.

The ear seems to be like that of an..... ' ELF '.

" OMG!!!! you are an elf ". prince Lucian exclaims in surprise.

" Is this a sign that I'm dead ". she asked while holding her long ear.

" No you aren't dead, and, strangely, you have to ask such a question because I'm sure you grow up in this place ".

" I'm a princess okay!!! please, believe me, I just had dinner with my parents and suffered heavy stomach pain. I woke up in this kingdom, and believe me when I'm saying I'm a princess because I need to go back home. If I'm dead then can I at least see my parents one last time "? Astrid pleaded.

" No you aren't dead, and I need you to cover your ear in any way possible. Under no circumstances are you to show others your ear, because an Elf isn't allowed in the hidden kingdom.

" So you are saying that I'm an Elf, and at the same time telling me that I'm in a hidden kingdom ". Astrid asks surprised.

" Just do as you are told, don't allow anyone to see your ear ". Lucian warned.

" Should I hide my face, like my appearance from others ?".

" No, you don't need to hide your appearance, this is how the witches look, but their hair isn't as long and white like this, so I guess you need to tie something on your head ". Lucian said as he gave her a black scarf.

" What am I going to use this for ?". Astrid asks while staring at the scarf with a confused face.

" You should tie that on your head young lady, please I don't have the luxurious time to waste here ". Lucian said as he became impatient because of Astrid's behavior.

" Please sir!! I mean prince Lucian. Can you please help me tie this on my hair, I have never done tying of hair before ".

Astrid hasn't done tying of hair, because she always has a maid who helps her do things like arranging her bath, dressing her hair, cooking, and many more things.

" What country, or which placed did you come from ?". Lucian asked.

", Well I came from Bath ". Astrid replied.

" Sorry, but I haven't heard of it, so it means you had lost your memory ".

Lucian haven't heard of any country called " BATH ", so he just assumed that the lady in front of him, who had claimed that her name's Astrid, must have lost her memory for her to be spilling nonsense from her mouth.

" Stand still ". Lucina command and Astrid quickly obeyed like his puppet.

Astrid was staring at the mirror while Lucian helps her to tie her long white hair.

He first braids all the hair together at the middle, while he uses the long braided hair to wrap Astrid's hair around, before covering her hair with the black scarf.

He used the scarf to tie her hair, including her ear. After all, he doesn't want anyone to see her ear, because if they find out that an Elf is living in this kingdom, they would make sure to kill that Elf. After all, the blood of an elf can work more than magic.

" Can I ask you a question ?". Astrid said with a low voice.

" You have been asking me a lot of questions since, so what do you have to ask this time around ?".

" Well, I wanted to know if...... like I just want to be certain if this is all true, as the Elf and vampires stuff is all true ". Astrid said.

" Well it's true, and I would like you to resume your duty as soon as possible, you should follow that hallway which is at your right, and you can resume your duty as a cleaner ". Lucina said.

" Hahaha, it's funny, but please stop joking around and get me a nice dress, I feel like I'm naked under this dress ". Astrid said as she stares at the dress with a disgusted eye.

" Well if you don't want to go, then I have no other option but to throw you in the dungeon ".

" Hey sorry Lucian, I will just go ahead so no big deal Okay ". Astrid said before running out of the huge princely room.

' Sighed '.

Lucian just stares at her back while she ran out of his room. He doesn't know what had gotten to him, but he wasn't capable of yelling at her when she had asked him stupid questions.
