Chapter 8 - New maid.

' Lucian POV '.
I was still sleeping on my bed when I felt someone's hands wrap across my waist.
I don't have a girlfriend, because I haven't seen any suitable princess of my choice, but feeling those soft hands around my waist made me close my eyes as I enjoy how it feels, not minding if it's a dream.
I quickly opened my eyes, because I felt the grip around my waist getting stronger.
I saw an unknown creature, or if perhaps a stunning creature holding me on my waist. I slowly removed her hands and got up from my bed with a frown on my face.
Last night, I went to a party, but I didn't get drunk because I didn't even taste any alcohol at the party, just a glass of orange juice was all that I consumed at the party.
Seeing that a lady is sleeping on my bed made me get more angry and disgusted.
I sat down on the bed and was about to wake the lady, but something got my attention, which was her long and beautiful white hair.
White hair is usually rare, so I assumed that the lady must be among the senior witches because only them possess this type of hair, but just to be frank, witches who possess white hair are very rare to be found.
I kept on staring at the white-haired lady and decided to take my bath before she wakes up because I won't take it likely towards her.
She entered my room without my permission and to worsen the situation she slept on my bed.
After taking my bath, I walk out of the bathroom, and to my surprise, the white-haired lady was still sleeping.
I got dressed and ordered for the head of the maid to come to my room as soon as possible. I have an important business meeting to attend to, and the lady on my bed is delaying my precious time.
The junior head maid whose name is Betty rushed inside my room and upon arrival, she hangs her mouth wide open in surprise because she could see a witch in maid attire sleeping on the prince's bed.
" I'm sorry prince Lucian, I will just take her out ". Mrs. Betty said as she apologizes to Lucian and went close to the bed to wake the white-haired lady.
Mrs. Betty was about to wake the lady who was sleeping on the king bed, but luckily the lady woke up.
Her eyes were bright green, which was so Damm attractive. It was hazel eyes, but the green in the eyes was what brought the beauty in her hazel eyes.
Her hair complimented her fair skin that seems to be soft. She has a pink lip and long lashes.
The lady's face was well built as if God had taken his time in creating her.
" Since your eyes are fully opened, and your hands are working very fine. I need you to get down from my bed ". I said to her in a soft voice make, causing the lady to raise her head, and stare at me as if she knew me from somewhere.
" Hey!!!, how come are you in my room and what brought you here ?". The lady asks me, causing me to laugh at her outburst.
I found it amusing that she still has the nerves to talk and also dares to pretend like if the room was hers.
" Can you please carry yourself down from my bed ". I ask the lady for the second time and of course, I still maintain my calm voice as usual, even though I was mad.
" What do you mean prince Josh, and you don't command a princess in her kingdom ". was the next word that left the lady's mouth.
I was stunned to hear her calling me prince Josh because that's not my name. She had said I shouldn't command her in her kingdom, but I wasn't in her kingdom, so I couldn't understand what the lady was saying.
" Mrs. Betty who was watching the lady display suddenly got angry and slapped the lady on her face.
I was shocked at what Mrs. Betty did, so to avoid more chaos I decided to tell Mrs. Betty to excuse me and the wired lady.
" What's your name ?" I ask the lady but she kept on saying " Issa..... Astrid ". which is a wired name to the ears.
I look at the wristwatch in my hand and found out that if I don't leave my room on time, I'm will end up not attending the meeting on time.
The lady was about to leave my room after I had sent her out, but she did something funny that made me chuckled within myself.
She was scared of looking at her reflection as if she hadn't been able to see how she looks like since they gave birth to her.
She had first taught that the person she saw in the mirror was a monster, but after summoning up the courage to look at the mirror, she found it hard to believe that she is staring at herself and not a monster.
She had asked me if she is dead, but I gave her a simple reply that she isn't dead.
Astrid left my room as fast as her feet could carry her because I had made a false threat, that I'm going to put her in the dungeon if she doesn't resume her duties of being a slave.
An amusing smile creeps on my face as I watch her run for her dear life.
I took another white long sleeve from the wardrobe and put it on because Astrid had already ruined the shirt that I wore earlier.
I still have five minutes left, so I hasten my pace while walking along the hallway.
It's Monday morning and all the maids are all busy. Some were busy watching the tiles, while some were moping the floor.
Every Monday the maids always get themselves to work very hard, just to ensure that the castle is well cleaned.
On getting to the royal meeting hall, Lucian found out that everyone was all present including his sister's, his parents, his uncle, and even aunty.
" So let's begin ". The king who is also known as my father said, as he motioned for the meeting to begin.
" Your highness, I want to be sincere with you, but the wolves aren't gaining in the economy. We need meat, but the rate of meat is increasing each day, and meat is one of our essential food ". The alpha who is the king of wolves said.
My Dad just nods his head, causing the alpha to sit down while the witch who was sitting beside the alpha stood up and lay her complaint.
" The witches are lacking, we don't have crystal ball anymore to see the evil activities that are going on. We can't be able to teach the younger ones because we are still lacking crystal ball ". The witch queen said.
Everyone present has their problems and they are brought their problems to my father who's the king of the hidden kingdom.
After they all summited their problems, my dad now rises from where he was sitting and started addressing everyone.
He started by addressing the alpha, followed by the witch queen and he also address the vampire.
The meeting wasn't supposed to have lasted for more than an hour, but because of the situation on ground the meeting last more than an hour.
The king sent a bodyguard to fetch a maid and within two minutes the maid entered inside the royal meeting hall.
" Get us some tea ". The king ordered.
" The lady who had walk-in was the junior head maid Mrs. Betty. She bows her head and left the royal meeting hall with her hands beside her stomach.
Lucina was listening to what his father was saying because it's expected of him to know the affairs of the kingdom.
He was still listening to what his father was saying, not minding the noise coming from those who were collecting their tea not until he heard someone screaming.
" Ahh!!! my chest !!! ". Lucian's sister screamed.
She was using her hands to fan herself like if she's holding an imaginary fan.
" I'm sorry !!! ". The maid who had poured water on my Mulan body said.
" Don't worry, I will just go and clean this up ". Mulan said as she got up from her seat and excuse herself.
" I thought you were lying when you said you are a prince, but I ask the other maid and they said you are prince Lucina and not prince Josh ". Astrid said as she leans close to Lucian and whispers those words in his ear, causing everyone present in the meeting to stop whatever they're doing and started staring at her.
" Young lady, please you will have to excuse us ". Lucian's father whose name is Aaron said.
" I will take my leave vampire king, sorry I meany Lord ". Astrid said before bowing her heads and leaving their premisses.
" Who's that girl ". king Aaron asked.
" She's my new maid, and don't worry this act won't repeat itself, because I'm going to make sure she learns the rules of a maid ". Lucian said.
The meeting ended with Aaron giving the alpha and the witch queen a solution that will help their kind.
" Hi!!! Lucian I never knew that the work of a maid is fun, but also stressful ". Astrid who was watching the floor said.
Other maids that were present shift their gaze toward her, as they gave her a deadly stare.
" Come here !!! ". prince Lucina said as he drags her hands, and led her towards his chamber.
" What do you think that you are doing ?". Lucian asks Astrid as he locks his door.
" Nothing, I already said sorry for spilling hot tea on the red hair lady, so what else do you think I'm doing, it was after you visit me that all these crazy things start happing ". Astrid said as she walks towards the dressing mirror and removed her scarf.
" When did I visit you ?". Lucina asked.
