Adelina Cortez's POV

"I'm sorry!" Carlos apologized for the millionth time. "I don't want to hear it!" I said in frustration. "I didn't even get to ask him for his name!" I whined.

He puckered his lips, making a pouty face. I tried to keep a straight face but I ended up laughing because he looked more constipated than anything.

"The cops were coming! We couldn't take a chance of your new found fame to crash and burn!" He said dramatically. I sighed and mumbled incoherent things.

"Fine!" I said in defeat. "I forgive you," I told him with a smile. "Good! Now let's get some food so we can go home and sleep," he said with a smile. I shook my head and laughed at his childlike behavior.

"Mc Donald's?" I asked and he nodded. "You know it b***h!" He replied loudly with sass. I pulled into Mc Donald's drive thru to order his food. Before I was fully parked, his food was scarfed down his throat.

"You good now?" I asked with raised brows. "Yes," he said softly. "Now let's go home. I'm exhausted," he mumbled and I choked out a laugh. "We barely did anything!" I said while laughing.

"Shut up," he mumbled and snuggled up to the door. I shook my head and pulled out of the parking spot I was halfway occupying. As I turned onto the road, I swore I caught a glimpse of that man from the bar but I must have been imagining things.

It couldn't have been him because the man in the car was with a beautiful girl. I sighed and took off in the direction of our house. Carlos's loud snores Soon filled the car and I laughed quietly. He sounded like a freight train.

Once I pulled into the driveway, I nudged Carlos with my elbow causing him to grunt. "What b***h?" He asked in annoyance. "We're home asshole. Get out of my car," I told him while nudging him again.

"I'm up I'm up!" He mumbled grumpily. He unbuckled himself then climbed out of the car, slamming it hard in the process. "Quit being childish!" I yelled while following after him.

He left the door half open, so I closed it all the way and locked up before heading to my bedroom. As soon as my feet hit my soft fluffy rug, I moaned in relief. It felt so good under my sore feet.

I stripped out of my clothing and padded softly and slowly to my bathroom. While running my bath water, I heard my phone ping. I reached for it and noticed I had a friend request.

Who the f**k is that? I ignored my phone and stepped inside of the tub, sinking down slowly into the steaming hot water. I leaned my head back, letting my body float into oblivion.

Ping!

I rolled my eyes and reached for my phone once again. It was a notification from the same guy. Like hello?! I'm trying to relax! I mentally screamed.

I clicked on the allow button and waited for the message to load.

I blushed at my phone then smiled. "Almost," I whispered. So he must be that guy?

My stomach filled with butterflies at the mention of my name. I placed my phone back on the side of the tub and slid down completely beneath the water.

I let out an excited scream then rose back to the top, with a smile on my face. "s**t," I mumbled. I was going to call Carlos in here to tell him my good news, but he was probably fast asleep.

I shrugged while grabbing my shampoo and lathered my hair. Once my hair and body was clean, I drained the tub and got out, dressing myself slowly. As soon as my body hit the bed, I passed out.
