Emeri "Oh gosh one last subject." Elena complained while stretching her arms. "I'm sleepy and my head is killing me." "Me too." I said and gently wiped the tears in the corner of my eyes. " We are both didn't get enough sleep because we came home really late last night. My best friend Elena was pretty drunk and I dragged her ass home. "I swear I won't drink anymore." "How many times did I hear that from you Elena but you are still drinking." I said with an eye rolled. My best friend always says that line and I'm already tired hearing it from her. "Oh shut up." Elena shoved my shoulder. "How about coffee after school?" "I don't like coffee." My eyes shifted at the door and saw Avery is walking in the hallway. Her hips sway side to side. It makes me bite my lower lip really hard. "I like..." I watched Avery greeted everyone with her famous smile. She looks like going to run for a president. "I.." "Do you like Avery?" Elena supplied. My head snapped at my best friend. "Wh-what?" Elena scoots closer next to me with a meaningful smile. "I know that kind of look Emeri." "Shut up." I warned her. The bell rang and our last teacher came. I tried to focus in class discussion but the imagine and thought of Avery's beautiful face. I think I need to consult our family doctor for this kind of feeling. We went straight to the cafeteria to get something to eat then settled in our usual table. Elena and I were both focusing in our food and phone. She is playing while I was listening to the music. There are times that I sing to the music and completely unaware of people around me. I saw Elena smiling while looking at me so I took off my earphones before asking her. "Why are you smiling?" "Nothing." Elena answered still smiling but I gave her a vicious stare. "Fine." She said in defeat. "You are just cute Emeri. You look happy." I felt my cheeks grew up. "What made you think that." "Well, you are singing." Elena drinks her coffee to wake up her sense. "With a smile." "With a smile?" I questioned her with a raised eyebrow. Elena gently put the cup of people in the table. "Yes Emeri." Her eyes were scanning every details of my face. "Is this the effect of having a crush—" "Elena.." I breath out. "Why—" Elena was cut off when someone interrupted us. "Hey Elena." Avery greeted my best friend. "Thank you for the book." I just looked at Avery like a perfect masterpiece that she is. Oh my gosh. What was I doing? What's happening to me? Why I thought like this towards Avery? "Welcome love." Elena said. Avery handed her the book then shifted her attention to me but she didn't say anything. "Mm, can I ask you something?" What is she going to ask? "What it is Elena?" Avery asked with a confused look but I would admit that it makes her more cute. Elena scratched her eyebrow. "Mm. What is the name of your twin?" I just shook my head in disbelief. Of course, we both know what's her twin's name and I don't know why she is still asking. "Oh." Avery chuckled. She runs her fingers through her wavy brown hair. "Allen. His name is Allen." Elena stood up and faced Avery. "Is your brother single? In a relationship or?" I saw Avery glance at me then returned her attention back to my best friend. "Mm, I'm not sure but I think Allen is single." "Okay great." Elena said excitedly. She is such a flirt sometimes. "Can I have his number?" Gosh, my best friend is shameful. Avery already left when I threw a tissue paper to Elena. "What?" "You are.." I couldn't find a perfect words to describe what she just did. "Emeri." Elena said with a smile. "If you like someone go for it before someone does." "Whatever." I whispered under my breath.
