XIX. Elixir

Jimin was having a hard time to breath. He was still not confident enough to believe that he is more powerful than any dark creature, especially when he's not alone this time, his lover and the guards were also in danger like him.

He stared at Yoongi who moved carefully to approach the two ogres and take his sword one of them was holding.

The creatures with black slimy skin groaned when they saw him holding the silver weapon, they walked closer to them, reading to attack.

The diamond-haired struggled to stand up, his legs got weaker because of fear, he looked at the King asking him for help. Yoongi slowly approached him and grabbed his arm, "Do not be afraid." he whispered to him. "Believe in your power."

"But..." Jimin said something but the older couldn't hear him at all because of the loud sound of the water falling.

Yoongi closed the gap between them and nearly stuck his ear against Jimin's mouth so that he hears what he has to say.

"I don't know if I'll be able to protect us all!" the younger screamed, his tone full of worry.

Yoongi sighed and faced him. He rested his hands on his shoulders and stared at his eyes which were watery, "Together we can do everything Diamond." he said before raising his sword and pointing it toward the dark creatures.

The Tentaculios released a high pitched sound before approaching them, leaving sticky traces on the ground with its long tentacles.

The creature aimed at the king, ready to burn his skin, but Jimin was fortunately there to protect him. He didn't need hard work to control his power, only the fear of seeing his lover getting injured was enough to make him stronger.

The Leonus advanced towards them, joining his partner. Jimin couldn't look at their faces, the two creatures were horribly frightful, their skin as sticky as a larva and with eyes as dark as the night. The Tentaculios which attacked them first caught up quickly and regained his strength, ready to take action once again.

Jimin was unfortunately not as strong to finish them as the other time in the castle of Adalis. He was so afraid that it made him weak.

The King grabbed his arm and stabbed one of the creatures, making it groan loud. It wasn't efficient, but it was enough to give them a little time to ran away from them.

Jimin cried when he saw their attackers following them, he saw the guards stopping them by stabbing their legs and tentacles. Unfortunately, one of them was thrown to the ground, screaming in pain because the Leonus burned his entire right arm.

Yoongi frowned when he saw him struggling, but he couldn't stop, he had to keep running in order to stay safe.

The diamond-haired closed his eyes to better focus and control his power. Both creatures were screaming as their tentacles trailed behind the two lovers, they were very fast, they succeeded to reach them in no time.

The Tentaculios managed to catch Jimin, it surrounded his leg with his tentacle, making him fall on the ground. Fortunately the young man had less sensitivity than the others, he couldn't feel so much pain, but it still stung him, making him moan.

Yoongi widened his eyes and stopped, he wanted to go to him, but the younger shouted, "Don't come!"

The King felt the pressure inside his chest, he wanted to help his lover but he was also afraid of the creature that was looking at him with threatening eyes. "Diamond." he mumbled. "Let me help you."

Jimin shook his head violently, "N-no way! Just go!" he groaned because he started feeling the pain of the burn.

"Diamond." Yoongi gulped when the Leonus walked toward him, "I cannot leave without you."

"Go!" the diamond-haired screamed when he saw one of their enemies getting close to the King and felt the other one stand behind his back.

As much as he was scared, Yoongi cared less about the consequences and ran toward his lover. He knelt before him and took his small body in his arms. Jimin's eyes grew wider when he saw the King's grey eyes staring at his. He couldn't formulate a single word because of his mixed emotions.

"I love you." Yoongi whispered to him before hiding his face in the crook of his neck. Jimin's tears fell on his cheek, he didn't want it to end there, he refused to let such filthy creatures destroy the beautiful life he finally had.

He wanted to do something but he felt too weak and tired to act, so he just rested his chin on Yoongi's shoulder, smelling the nice scent of jasmin coming from his body, waiting for the dark creatures to kill them.

They closed their eyes and tangled their fingers, they heard loud groans and surprisingly nothing happened after. They stayed inert long enough to realize that they were still safe and sound. Yoongi carefully raised his head and widened his eyes when he saw who was standing in front of him. He gently tapped Jimin's hand and said, "Diamond, look."

The young man lifted his head and gasped when he saw the two creatures laying on the ground, slowly turning into dust. Hoseok and Namjoon were standing behind them, the healer's hair was shining as bright as Jimin's.

"Jimin! It worked!" the Wizard said excitedly.

"Oh?" the diamond-haired quickly stood up, "You mean the idea I proposed to you?"

Yoongi stared at them confusingly.

"Yes! I succeeded to make an elixir with the locks you sent me. Look at Namjoon's hair, he just managed to kill two dark creatures!"

The King just realized what was happening, he stared at the healer and approached him and gently touched his long braided hair. "Are you the one who killed them?"

"Yes, your Majesty." the Elf bowed.

Yoongi furrowed his eyebrows and looked toward his lover and the Wizard, "Would you mind explaining what is going on?"

"I sent him a letter before you came to see me." Jimin started, "I sent him a few locks of my hair and asked him if he could make an elixir that everyone can use to kill the dark creatures."

"We finally found someone who does not fear your brother." Hoseok smirked. "Jimin is ready to fight for your love."

The King's eyes shifted to the purple color again as he stared at his lover, he sighed and took his hands, "Why are you doing this Diamond?"

Jimin smiled and leaned to place a soft kiss on Yoongi's lips, "After so many years, I finally found the one who loves me for what I am, the one whom I feel happy with, the one I love with all my heart." he blushed and avoided his eyes. He then turned to Namjoon and Hoseok, "I also met my first friends, the ones who helped me when I needed them and made me feel proud of what I am." he nodded with a smile. He faced his lover again and tightened the grip on his hands, "And I have no intention to let anyone ruin this."
