XX. Revenge

"Your King just declared the war on us."

Taehyung's eyes grew wider as he looked at the knight's disappointed face, "T-the King? Why? How?" He couldn't believe that one day Yoongi would have such courage to fight his older brother especially knowing that he has the strongest army in Fantasía.

"It must be a misunderstanding." the Elf chuckled nervously and shook his head, "The King would never want to start a war."

"Well he did." Jungkook said, "He just sent a letter to the Prince, it is confirmed."

Taehyung frowned, "That's impossible." he mumbled to himself. He rubbed his chin and tried to remember if something seemed different or strange lately in the castle, but nothing came to his mind. He wondered why Yoongi would want to start a war when his soldiers can never win against the Dark Creatures.

"It seems like we will be going back to be enemies again." Jungkook interrupted his thoughts.

He lifted his head and stared at the black-haired male. There was something about his facial expression that showed that he wasn't happy nor glad to be his rival again.

Taehyung gulped when he couldn't get his eyes off the beautiful knight. It was too hot outside that his dark locks stuck on his sweaty face making him look very attractive. His gaze moved down to his torso and that's when he almost lost his breath when he saw how the droplets of sweat go down gently all along his abs heading to the waist of his trousers.

Jungkook's fake cough woke him up from his transe. He quickly looked away and took a breath to stop his heart from beating too fast. He felt the guard staring at him and he had a hard time looking back at him. He mentally cursed himself for feeling too shy and awkward in front of the mysterious young male. No one ever made him feel too weak and small before.

He slowly turned his head and saw Jungkook's crossed arms. "It's not good to drool over your enemy." he said.

Taehyung frowned and scoffed, "Who's drooling over you?"

The knight smirked and approached his face to the Duke's until there were only a few centimeters between them. Taehyung gulped again and felt his chest tighten every time Jungkook's warm breath caressed his nose and cheeks. "Your face shows it quite well." the young male whispered, sending shivers through his body.

Taehyung bit his lower lip and gently pushed him away from him. "Nonsense." he mumbled, looking at everything but the beautiful male.

He heard Jungkook chuckling and he hated himself for wanting to hear this chuckle over and over again.

"I hope you are ready to fight." the knight said. "I am sure you wouldn't want to disappoint your dear King."

Taehyung frowned when he remembered that he had a war to participate in. He clenched his fists, thinking about all the hurtful things Yoongi did to him, from being the reason for his sister's death to stealing the first love of his life. He wished he had enough power to refuse to fight by his side.

He sighed and looked at Jungkook, "I have no choice but to draw my sword." he said with a confident tone.

"You are loyal." the black-haired smiled. "I just hope we won't meet during a bad situation again."

"What do you mean?" the Elf raised an eyebrow.

Jungkook approached him again and gently placed a hand on his right cheek, "I wouldn't like to be the one who ruins this pretty face." he gave him a last smile before entering his territory.

The long-haired Elf watched him disappearing in the dark, his heart aching from disappointment and fear. The one who saved him twice from death was going to fight against him this time.

He couldn't lie and think that he hasn't spent good times with Jungkook even if they rarely met. The young knight would always succeed to make him forget his worries.

He clenched his fists, hating the King more for ruining the only nice thing that was going on in his life.

Once again.

"I hate being your loyal subject." he mumbled before heading to the castle.
