Boss

Violet's POV

I can't believe how well everyone took the news about Selene and the future moon goddess that Chris and I are destined to have. Maybe they are in shock and they haven't fully processed the information yet. My mom hasn't stopped crying since she walked into the room. I keep reassuring her that I'm okay and that I'm alive and well. 

Rose just returned carrying Benny in her arms. She had left to go change his dirty diaper. I cried as soon as I had my baby boy in my arms. I can't believe I had died and would have never seen my son grow up. "I love you so much baby boy." I smile down at him and plant a kiss on his head. "Hey, I'm so happy to have you here safe and sound, but I should be going home. I have a pack to run and I don't really think my beta can handle everything on his own." Megg side hugs me. "Congratulations again though on your marriage! It was an honor to be by your side. I know you will do the same for me if I ever find my mate." I smile at my friend. "You will, when you least expect it."  She smiles back at me. "I sure hope so." 

She then says bye to my mom and Rose before leaving. 

"Alpha's! Two hunters just attacked a patrol guard. He's being sent to the pack hospital, and we have the two men unarmed. What would you like us to do?" I hear though link and remain silent, wanting to hear what the men suggest to do. 

I can't help but panic, knowing that they entered our territory, most likely looking for me. I hold on to Benjamin even more securely. "I won't let anything happen to you. I promise." I let a few tears flow down my face, sliding off my chin and landing on Benny's face. 

"Violet!" Chris barges into the room. clearly worried about me. His actions cause my mom and Rose to jump out of their seats. "Chris? What happened?" Jackson asks his son. Kevin looking just as worried at his child. 

He rubs his hands over his face in frustration. "Two hunters attacked one of our guards. He's in the hospital right now and the men are being tossed in the cells." 

"Chris. Go." I tell him. 

"What? No. I'm not leaving you or Benjamin." He states, sounding offended. "Noah and Alex can handle it. Plus, the king and queen are going to question them as well."  I'm sure those hunters are going to poop themselves once seeing Alice and Landon. They are very intimidating people, and I know damn well they will reveal their wolf forms. 

"We will be there as well. I could use a good punching bag to let out my frustration." Kevin smirks. "Same." Jackson adds. I love how protective these two are. I am blessed to have them as my father in laws. 

"Thanks. Keep me updated." Chris tells his fathers and they agree. They both walk over and give me a kiss on the forehead. "Feel better, sweetie." Jackson says, followed by Kevin telling me to get some rest. They then give their grandson a kiss on the forehead as well. "Hey! What about me?" I giggle at hearing Rose whine for her mates attention. They both give her a sweet kiss before leaving the room. 

Alice's POV

Rushing to the cells, I can't wait to beat the information out of these scum bags. Landon is keeping up with my pace and we reach the prison cell in a matter of seconds. My wolf is begging to be released and tear apart these hunters who tried to kill my little sister. 

"Before you begin my love, I think we should wait for your brother and the others. This is their territory after all." I roll my eyes at Landon. "You're right." He smirks at me. "You're getting punished later for rolling your eyes at me." He whispers in my ear, sending shivers throughout my entire body. 

"I can't wait." I reply back, causing a sexy, low growl from him. 

Hearing many footsteps, I look in the direction of the entrance and see Noah, Alex, Jackson, and Kevin rushing to the cell where the hunters are locked up in. 

"Have they talked?" Noah asks, and I tell him we were waiting for them. "Thanks." 

Walking closer to the cell, I notice they look similar. "Are you two brothers?" I ask out of curiosity. "That's none of your business, mutt!" The one spits out at me. Landon lets out a loud growl, causing them to flinch. The other one, answers my question right after hearing my husband. "Yes. We are brothers." 

Perfect. I can use this as leverage if it gets to that point. 

I look at Noah and nod. "I don't want to hear any bullshit, just tell me, who sent you after Violet and why?"  Noah asks the men and they remain silent. 

'ANSWER ME!" Noah hollers, causing the one I assume to be younger to look frightened. The other one remains holding his ground. 

"Jackson, Kevin." Noah looks at his beta's. They both nod with a devilish grin. 

"Unlock the door." Alex states to the guards and they do as they are told. 

Kevin and Jackson walk in the cell and I am eager to watch this. Jackson goes to the younger brother while Kevin gets the more tough one. Letting out all of their built up stress, they punch and kick the hunters repeatedly until Noah tells them to stop. 

They walk back out and the guards lock the cell once more. 

"Now, tell me. Who sent you and why?" Noah asks in a creepy calm voice. 

"f**k YOU!" The older brother shouts. 

Well, guess they are going to have to deal with me now. 

Nodding to the guard, he opens up the cell and Landon and I walk in. As soon as the cell is locked, Landon and I shift into our wolf forms, taking up must of the space in the cell. Sniffing the air, I can tell the younger hunter s**t himself. Good. 

We both show our canines and hover above the hunters who are laying on the ground in pain. 

"Last chance! WHO SENT YOU AND WHY?!" I hear Noah yell. 

Silence. 

I hold up a claw to the younger ones throat. 

"OKAY! I'LL TELL YOU! JUST DON'T HURT HIM! His older brother cries out. 

Finally. 

"Go on." Alex demands from him. 

"Some girl paid us a hefty amount and told us how to find this place. I don't know why she wants the girl dead, but she gave us her human and wolf form description." 

"Where did you meet this girl? What's her name and what does she look like?" Alex  demands more information from the men. 

"She contacted us and met with us at a coffee shop in town. Her name is Megg. I don't know her last name. She's some chick with long brown hair. Really cute. Her eyes are silver with a hint of green. Something I have never seen before." 

Landon and I exit the cell and shift back to human form. 

"Guys. Megg is in the hospital room right now with Violet!" Noah exclaims. 

"She's surrounded by our mother's and Chris. There's no way she would try something right now." I try to calm him down. I look back at the hunters. "Did she say why she wanted Violet dead?" They both shake their heads and I believe them. 

"Let's go." Noah says and we all follow him out and back to the hospital room.
