The Twin Alpha's

Hunter

Noah's POV

As I sat in the hospital room, I kept squeezing Alex's  hand. I'm surprised it hasn't fall off yet with how much pressure I keep giving it. I'm filled with happiness and anger. Obviously, I'm happy that Violet is alive. I'm angry because we didn't get to question the hunter to see why Violet was the target. I don't feel like she's safe yet. Whoever sent him is still out there somewhere. 

"Violet." She turns her attention to me. "Do you have any idea why the hunter wanted you dead?" I feel Alice elbow me, clearly not wanting to talk about this right now. I don't care though. I need to get to the bottom of this as quick as possible. I refuse to lose my twin for a third and final time. 

"No." She replies quietly.

"It's okay sweetheart. We will send out more patrol along the borders and the packhouse. Right?" Dad asks, looking at me, Alice, and Alex. We all agree, of course. Anything for the safety of Violet and the pack. 

"Alpha, we have information that King Landon had asked for. I think it's best we talk in private with him and you Alpha's." One of my men says through link. I tell him to meet me in my office in ten minutes. 

"I need you guys and Landon to meet me in the office immediately." I link Alice, Alex, and Chris. Standing up, I walk over to my sister. "I can't tell you how happy I am to see you." I lean down and kiss the top of Violet's head. "Please excuse us though, we have an urgent matter to attend to."  As I tell her that; Alex, Alice, Landon, and Chris stand up. 

"Wait, shouldn't I join you guys if all the alpha's are going?" 

"We will keep you informed. For now, you need all the rest you can get." She pouts, but  I know she understands that I'm right. 

"I'll be back as soon as possible. I love you." Chris tells her as he gives her a kiss. 

Holding hands with Alex, we leave the room first and make our way to the office. 

"Are you okay?" He asks me as we enter. I let out a deep breath. "It's just a lot to process. I love Violet and am relieved to have her back, but I won't be okay until we capture the person behind this."

"I understand. I'm happy to have my little sister back too." He smiles at me and I grab his face, kissing him roughly. It still blows my mind that this sweet, sexy man is my mate and husband. 

 Alice and Landon are next to enter the office and take a seat on the sofa. "Sorry for disturbing you love birds." I hear Landon snicker as they had caught us in a heated kiss. We both blushed at that. 

"What's so urgent?" Alice asks. "Our men found information on the hunter and asked to speak with us privately."  Chris arrives last and asks what's going on as soon as he takes a seat. "We will find out in a few minutes." I assure him. 

A knock is heard on the door and I tell the men to enter. Two of our best trackers walk in and one is holding a file. "King Landon, Queen Alice, Alpha's" They both say in unison and bow to us. 

"Please, sit. What have you found out for us?" I ask, getting straight to the point. "We found a wallet on the hunter before burning him. His driver's license matched his face. His name was Xander Finn. He was a single man, worked as a salesman at an armory store in the human town. The phone he had on him was a burner phone, but we were able to trace one number."

"Go on." I say as the man had hesitated to continue. 

"We couldn't trace the person whom it belongs to, but we were able to trace the location of where the call came from." The anticipation is f*****g killing me. 

"It was someone from the Full Moon pack." f**k. 

"And you are positive about that?" I ask, just to make sure. 

"One hundred percent, Alpha Noah."  He proceeds to hand me the file he was holding. 

"Thank you. That would be all for now." They bow once again before leaving the office. 

Alice is rubbing her temples. "Should we talk to Megg about this?" She asks. "No. I understand she is your friend, but every single person in that pack is a suspect until we figure out who made the phone calls." Landon took the words right out of my mouth. 

"Guys. Megg is my best friend. She loves Violet! Why would she want to kill her friend?" Alex angrily expresses. I walk over to him and rub his hand soothingly. "I'm sorry, but I agree with Landon. I highly doubt it was Megg, but we have to be cautious."  Letting out a deep sigh, Alex replies to me. "You're right. So, what do we do next?" 

"For starters, someone is to be with Violet at all times. Second, we need to make sure Megg goes home tonight like she said she would be."

"Trust me, I'll stay with my wife 24/7. Benny too. I'll be moving him into our room. I need to protect my family." I don't doubt Chris for a second. 

"I'll walk Megg to the border and make sure she calls me when she gets back home." I understand how difficult it will be for Alex to keep a secret like this from his best friend, but I know he will do so for the safety of our pack. 

"Good. Now we just need a plan on how to pick out the person who has it out for my sister." 

"Yes, but how?" Alex questions. 

"We need to go visit the Full Moon pack ourselves and observe." 

"Easy enough. We can go over to hang out with Megg. Nothing suspicious about that." Alex suggests. 

"That makes sense, but you both know that Violet will attempt to go and hang out as well." Chris chimes in. 

"Well, it's your job to make sure she doesn't leave this house." I sternly state, causing him to cross his arms and stare at me. 

"Really, Noah? You know damn well that I can't control what she does." He has a point. 

"Alpha's! Two hunters just attacked a patrol guard. He's being sent to the pack hospital, and we have the two men unarmed. What would you like us to do?" We hear through link.

"I have to go to Violet!" Chris shouts to us and darts out of the office. "What's going on?" Alice demands. 

"Lock them in the cells. We will be down soon." I respond through link. "Two hunters have attacked one of our guards!" I inform her and the king. 

"Don't kill them yet! We need to question them and find out who is sending them after Violet." Landon commands. Damn, these two really are bossy and meant for each other.

Shit. If our guard sent that link to the alpha's, that means Violet heard it as well.
