I startle awake, gasping for air. As I struggle to find my bearings, panic sets in. Looking around, I notice the familiar surroundings indicating I'm in reality. Trisha is lying next to me, her breathing steady and even. I breathe a sigh of relief and take a moment to relax.
Sweat trickled down my back, and I shivered uncontrollably. My dream was so vivid and confirmed that it took me a few moments to realize where I was.
My idiotic brother had tried to stop me by putting me to sleep, thinking that I would be affected by it, but I told him that no matter how hard he tried, there would always be someone who would look for me and save me, and Trisha convinced me that she was the one.
