I woke up to someone tapping me, and when I opened my eyes, it was an unfamiliar woman. I sat up and gasped as I stared into her eyes.
Was she a vampire too? She looked pale but unlike the king, who was paler. She definitely must be a vampire, I believe.
When she saw that I was staring at her too long, she bowed her head. "permit me to introduce myself. I am Lady Courtney, the head maid of this mansion, and I have come to inform you that I have served your meal in the dining halls."
