Chapter 28 before training

1087 Words
Alpha Roman Black’s P.O.V   I found it so funny that Brad was being chased by rogues, especially when I tried to imagine it, but it serves him right for going at night. He should have gone during the day and he should have known that. I was thinking about the whole situation and there was something bugging me about it, something just didn't feel right. I started to think about Brad and I had seen him leaving the territory a couple of nights a week, but he would come back until daylight. I’ve never said anything, but oh well, he's gone now, so why should I care? I have plenty of pack members, so I’ll just send another one out there tomorrow to do my dirty work and find out what's going on over there. Three Months Later…..   Hope’s P.O.V   “Hey Hope, are you coming to train with us today?” Bethany, one of the pack members asked and I nodded. I walked over to the training grounds and watched as the others trained and I didn't see anyone doing anything that my old pack and Roman’s pack had done. I wanted them strong and healthy, but at the moment they all looked tired and unfocused.   “Hold it everyone, I need you to stop.” I said and everyone immediately stopped, turning to look at me and giving me their full attention.   “I have a question, do any of you eat breakfast before you come out here to train?” I asked and they all looked at each other before shaking their heads. One of the she-wolves stepped forward and because I was still getting to know everyone here I didnt know her name yet.   “Luna Hope, we all think it will slow us down when we train, so we wait until after.” She replied and I nodded.   “After you have finished training do you all feel really tired at the end? When you do eat you feel like your stomach is cramping up and that it is going to come back up?” I asked and they all nodded again.   “That’s your body telling you that you need to eat before you train. If we were at war right now half of you would go down. From now on I want all of you to eat breakfast before you come out here to train. I don't care if it's an apple or a piece of toast, you need to eat something.” I said, hoping they would actually do it.    “Yes Luna.” They all replied, but there was more I wanted to put right with their training.   “There is something else, do you do any kind of warm up before you start training, you know like run laps, leg lift or anything else?” I asked and they all shook their heads, making me sigh. There was so much wrong with their training and they were all just relying on brute strength to get the job done in a fight, but that would have to change.   “Listen, I want all of you to be strong and able to take on anyone that tries to challenge you. From now on I want you to warm up before you start training, I want you to run laps first, then do leg lifts, sit ups, push ups and squats. I promise you that once you start doing all of this you will feel the difference. Starting from tomorrow I will be out here everyday with you, doing the same as you.” I said, feeling better for talking to them about this. I knew it was going to be hard, but this was what they would need to do in order to succeed, plus it just might make us closer and I could get to know them better.   “Yes, Luna Hope.” They all replied and I smiled.   “Right, now I want you all to go home, shower and get some rest. Tomorrow is another day, so take off and do whatever you want to do because tomorrow is going to be tough for you. You’re going to be sore, so we are going to be getting up at six in the morning, eating breakfast and then heading out here. Is there a leader of this group? Do you have a trainer?” I asked, but they all looked at each other confused.   “No, we don't.” Bethany replied and I shook my head. This was no good, they needed a trainer.   “Okay, I’ll settle that tomorrow then, now go rest up. We’ll see each other later tonight at dinner.” I said and watched as they all headed back to their homes and rooms. The whole time I have been standing here talking to the pack I felt like I was being watched, but when I looked around I couldn't see anyone or anything there. I trusted my instincts and I knew there was someone there, they were just really good at hiding, but not good enough.   “Whoever you are, I hope you got a really good eyeful. Either you leave now or I will hunt you down and kill you myself.” I said, knowing they would hear me. I turned around and left, heading back to the pack house.   Unknown’s P.O.V   How can she kill me if she can't even see me? How did she even know I was here? I’m her protector and I have been really careful for her not to know I am here watching her. I have watched her grow strong and now she is a Luna of her own pack. I know she will make me proud by making this pack stronger than ever. She has to be strong and get them strong because she has a war to win. Once Roman finds out that she is here there will be no stopping him and he will do anything he can to take her back, either by hook or by crook. There is no way I can let that happen, but I can't reveal myself yet. I need to get back, if he finds out I’m not in my cell then he will know for sure that I can escape anytime I want and I can't let that happen.
