Chapter 29 a protector

Updated  Hope’s P.O.V   The next day I woke up early because I was going to stick to exactly what I had said to all those training and met everyone in the kitchen, making them eat breakfast. I gathered a load of water bottles up and handed them out to all of them, then went outside to the training grounds. Thankfully none of them argued about eating breakfast before training and just did what I had asked them to do. I think they wanted to see whether I was right or not.   “Alright everyone, we are going to do the warm ups we discussed yesterday first. I want you all to do thirty laps around the training fields. I want you to do this only in your human form because I want to see what you can do to begin with.” I announced and they all nodded, getting into a line. They started doing the laps and when they were finished I got them doing the other warm ups, such as leg lifts, push ups, sit ups and squats.   “Right everyone, I want you to split up into pairs and spar in your human form only, try to pin your opponent, but I don't want to see any moves that would be fatal to your opponent.” I announced and they yet again did as I had asked. They split off into pairs and began sparring with each other and I had to say I was impressed. They were quite good, but there were still some things they needed to learn, so I taught them a few moves that I had learned from watching my old pack as I went from one to the other. My old pack never knew that I was watching them because I would have been punished. I was never allowed to do anything besides clean and cook and I especially wasn't allowed to learn how to defend myself. My old pack saw it as a waste of time to train me because I was human and humans had no place fighting amongst werecats or any other supernatural creatures, according to them. The people in my old pack would make fun of me, picking on me and beating me, but there was no way in hell I was going to let that happen to any member of this pack. I watched all of the couples sparring and they were all skilled, but there were two that caught my eye, one woman and one man. I counted the women and men, then when training was over I had them all gather around so that I could speak to them.    “Okay, Lara and Jacob, can you please come to the front?” I said and they both nervously looked at each other. They came to the front where I was standing and I could sense how nervous they both were, but they had no need to be, they were not in trouble.   “Please don't be nervous, you're not in trouble, I promise. I have watched all of you train and I have made my decision. Jacob, I want you to be in charge of training the men and Lara, I want you to be in charge of training the women. You two both showed that you are the strongest and most capable here, so I am making you the head trainers and leaders of the groups.” I said and they both proudly smiled.   “Thank you, Luna Hope.” They both said together and I nodded to them.   “Right, now I’ve noticed that there are two cabins which are not lived in, so I want the guys to have one cabin and the women to have the other. If any of you decide that you want to become warriors, then the first step is to live and train like them. I have shown you all that I know and I know that you all know a lot more, I’ve seen it, but from today I want you to change the way you train. I want you to do thirty laps like you did today for the next two days and then I want you to bring it up a notch by doing forty and then fifty. I want you to increase not only the number of laps you do, but also the numbers for the other warm ups as well. I want you to get your legs strong because whether you can fight or not, if you are outnumbered and out matched then you still need to be able to run away if you have to. I’m very proud of you all for what you have accomplished today and I want you to keep it up.” I said and they all nodded, as Lara and Jacob stood next to me, looking out over the crowd.   “Now, I want you all to go home and get your stuff packed to move into the cabins. I’ll make sure that the cabins are built on, so that everyone will have enough room. Don't worry, there will be space for everyone.” I said, smiling at them all as they nodded and then left. I watched everyone head back into the pack house and then Rick walked up to me, wrapping his arms around my waist.   “You did good, baby. We’ll get started straight away with building onto the cabins.” Rick said, kissing my forehead.   “I just want them to be strong and able to defend themselves in a battle. I want them to be safe and survive. I don't want them to end up like how I was.” I replied and he nodded.   “They won't end up like that because they have you on their side, backing them up and supporting them, plus you have me. Don't worry, love. Everything will be okay. Come on, let's get you in the shower.” Rick said, winking at me and making me chuckle.   “I bet you want me in the shower.” I replied and he smirked, picking me up and throwing me over his shoulder. I was laughing the whole time he carried me into the pack house and upstairs to our room. Our room, not just his, but ours. It sounded so weird to think about it like that, let alone say it. Our room.   Unknown’s P.O.V   I watched from afar like I had been doing all this time, so that she wouldn't be able to tell I was watching like last time. She seems so happy now and at peace, plus she has become a badass trainer and fighter. The Moon Goddess did right when she made her and assigned Rachel to be her cat. I was so enthralled with watching her that I didn't sense anyone else around me until suddenly a bright light started shining and the Moon Goddess herself appeared before me. She stood there smiling at me and I smiled back, but it quickly turned into a frown when I thought of what was to come.   “Do you think she is ready? Roman is walking on a fine edge, he wants to find her and he will stop at nothing to get her back.” I asked, but the Moon Goddess shook her head.   “Not yet, my child. She still has to go through a few more things. She has to get through Roman first, but I am sure she will do everything I predict ehr to. She’s smart and she will figure it out, she always does.” The Moon Goddess replied and I sighed. Hasn't she been put through enough? She has survived so much already and it feels cruel to put her through even more.   “But when will she know about me?” I asked and the Moon Goddess softly smiled at me.   The Moon Goddess’s P.O.V   “Not yet, my sweet child. She will know soon, but not yet. I promise. You are her protector and she will know you soon enough when the time is right. Now, you need to get back before he realises that you're gone and comes hunting for you.” I replied and she nodded. She started to run back and I stood there for a while longer, deciding that in a few days my daughter will know about her protector.
