No one says a word as Dante and Jennie walk into the house. Instead, they all pretend to be very interested in the Disney cartoon movie. It is ten o'clock, and the twins can be up as it is the weekend. Jayda jumps up and runs to her mommy. They hardly spend a night without her, and Jayda is happy her mommy came to the farm with her daddy. Lately, Jayda does not like uncle Carl so much. Her daddy is more handsome, and he will love them more than uncle Carl ever will.
"Mommy, daddy! I am so glad both of you are here. Did you fetch mommy, daddy?" Jayda asks. She acts like she did not see them kiss. Her aunts told her not to tell them they saw it as her mommy and daddy will be angry with all of them. Jayda does not want her mommy and daddy to be mad at her, but she is happy. If they are kissing, they will be together soon.
"Yes, daddy went to fetch mommy and brought her to stay with us for the rest of the weekend on the farm," Dante says as he catches Jayda in his arms and kisses her on the cheek. He hugs his little princess close to his heart. Dante had fallen in love with his two children the first day he saw them. He will fight for them and Jennie, even if it takes a lifetime. Jayden also walks over to his mother and father, but he is not like Jayda and looks suspiciously at his father. Finally, Dante puts Jayda down and picks up Jayden. He knows his son also longs for attention, even though he will not show it as Jayda does.
"Dad, did you ask mom if she wanted to come before you brought her here?" Jayden asks.
"Yes, I did," Dante says. Jayden looks at his mother. Jennie knows she will have to do the right thing and tell Jayden the truth.
"Your father saved me from an awful date with uncle Carl. He protected me tonight, Jayden," Jennie says.
"Really? Did uncle Carl want to hurt my mommy? Daddy, if he did, we need to go see him and tell him to never come near mommy again," Jayden says.
"We will go see him, son. I promise you that," Dante says, and he looks dead serious.
"Leave if I can handle Carl myself," Jennie says.
"No, mommy. You are our responsibility and Dad, and I will have a talk with uncle Carl," Jayden says.
"Jayden, do not interfere in grown-up business. I said I would take care of it," Jennie says, and Dante winks at Jayden. Jayden smiles at his dad, knowing they will talk with uncle Carl without mommy knowing.
"Fine, I will leave it alone, mom," Jayden says, and Jennie does not know if she trusts the two of them. So, Angelica, Mabel and Jennie go upstairs while Dante goes with the twins to their rooms. He first wants to play with them for a bit. He never had alone time with them, and Dante longs for it. Dante does not want to use his children to win Jennie's heart. He wants her to know he loved her for years, and he is still madly, deeply and truly in love with her.
"Do you love, mom, dad?" Jayden asks Dante out of the blue.
"Yes, I do," Dante says.
"Then I am happy. You can date, mom. Thank you for saving her from uncle Carl, daddy," Jayden says.
"I will always look after her and the two of you. You three are my whole world, but I do not want you to interfere. If your mommy wants me, she will have to be with me willingly," Dante says.
Angelica and Mabel plan a picnic for the whole family and invite Tristan and Boris. They want to go to a beautiful place on the farm the next day. Jennie listens to all their plans, but her attention is somewhere else. She still can not believe that Carl tried what he did tonight. He was always a gentleman towards her. She wonders why he changed so much. She is glad Dante saved her from Carl this evening, but then she kissed Dante. She thinks of Dante's kisses, and she knows she will have to stay away from him as he is dangerous to her heart. She has built a wall around her heart for so many years, and she will not allow him to break it down in a few days or weeks. Jennie sleeps with Angelica in the room, and as it is late, they all decide to go to bed. They will have to be up early the following day.
The following morning Carl wakes up with a hangover. He feels the woman next to him in the bed, and he pulls her into his arms. He can not remember much about last night. He must have had too much wine. His plan must have worked, though, as he can feel Jennie laying next to him in bed.
"Morning, my love. I have been waiting so long to wake up next to you," Carl whispers in Jennie's ear.
"Moning lover. You only met me last night but okay. I get that I am famous, and many men dream of waking up next to me," Amber answers.
"What? Who are you? Where is Jennie?" Carl asks, jumping out of bed.
"Oh, don't you remember? Jennie went home with Dante, and we came here," Amber says. She is not looking too happy.
"Amber Black? Why did we come here, and why did Jennie leave with Dante?" Carl asks. He remembers Dante and Amber arriving and that he and Amber talked all night, but she is not Jennie!
"I did not hear you complained last night when we made love over and over again, and you called out my name every time," Amber says. She gets out of bed and walks over to Carl. He can only stare at her body. She is beautiful, and before Carl knows it, he kisses Amber again. Oh well, every wealthy man has a mistress. Amber might as well be his mistress after he married Jennie.
He makes love to Amber again before he calls his butler and asks him to bring him clean clothes. Amber looks at Carl.
"Where are you going?" Amber asks Carl.
"To apologise to Jennie for last night. She is why I am wealthy, and I can not lose her now," Carl says.
"What about me? You only used me?" Amber asks.
"Of course not. I will see you again and buy you everything you needs," Carls answers.
"So you want me to be your mistress?" Amber asks. She is furious.
"I can not marry you. I love Jennie. You are beautiful, and I love making love to you, but you can not be more to me than a mistress. So you can decide if you want to see me again and get many great gifts or never see me again, and we forget this ever happened," Carl says. Amber throws Carl with a lamp standing next to the bed where she is still lying. It hits Carl against his head, and he curses. He did not expect that.
"You will pay for this, you bastard," Amber says as she jumps out of bed and runs into the bathroom. A few minutes later, she comes out dressed, and she leaves.
"Oh well, it will be the last he sees of her," Carl thinks to himself. His head is still aching from the hangover and the hit he took from the lamp. His butler arrives with his clothes, and Carl gets into the shower. He can feel the bump on his head where the lamp hit him. After getting dressed, Carl goes downstairs and pays for the room and the broken lamp. Next, Carl goes to a flower shop and buys a bunch of yellow roses. He then stops at a store and buys some chocolates. He is sure Jennie will forgive him. She always does. She is soft-hearted, and he will play the victim. Carl gets to Jennie's house and sees her car standing in the driveway. He is relieved. She must be home. He knocks and waits a few seconds, but no one answers the door. She left with Dante, so she and the twins must be at his place! Damn, that man! He will have to get Dante out of Jennie's life for good! Carl feels disappointed and goes home. He does not know when Jennie and the twins will be home, but he will come back tonight and talk to her.
On the farm, the children are having fun with Dante. He gave them each a horse, and Jayda and Jayden are in on cloud nine. Dante is teaching them to ride when Jennie and his sisters join them. Jennie smiles as she sees how happy her children are. Dante is sitting proudly on a big black horse. He is wearing jeans and a t-shirt, and Jennie has difficulty keeping her eyes off his muscular body. Damn, why does Dante have to be so damn sexy? He oozes out s*x appeal. Dante's blue eyes meet Jennie, and it feels like the world is standing still for a second before Jennie looks away at the twins.
"Look, mommy, we are cowboys," Jayden says. He is very proud of being able to ride a horse.
"I see, be careful and listen to what your daddy says," Jennie says. It is the first time she calls Dante their daddy, and Dante smiles. It is a good sign if Jennie sees him as their father. Maybe she is not so cold towards him as she thinks. Their kisses tell him she may still have feelings towards him. He can not help looking back to Jennie is standing in shorts and a t-shirt. Damn, she is hot! he can not help looking at her long perfect legs, and when she turns around to look at Mabel telling her something, Dante almost falls off his horse, looking at her sexy round bum.
"Mommy, you better go, daddy, is looking at your bum and almost fell off his horse," Jayda says innocently. Jennie blushes. Angelica and Mabel start laughing as Dante has a silly grin on his face.
"You are not supposed to tell on daddy, Jayda," Dante says as he rides towards Jayda and kisses her on the cheek. Jayda laughs.
"Well, it is the truth," Jayda says. After a while, the twins get tired, and Dante doesn't want them to overdo it the first day they ride horses as he does not want them to be stiff and hurting. So Dante and the twins walk into the kitchen as Jennifer serves breakfast.
"It smells great, grandma. I am staving," Jayden says as he kisses his grandmother on her cheek. He loves his grandparents.
"You hungry from all the horseback riding?" Jen asks him and gives him an extra piece of the beacon.
"Yes, very. It was fun. Daddy taught us all about horses," Jayden says. The chef is busy preparing baskets of food for the picnic later, and Lorenzo watches the chef make sure he does not mess up. He loves the twins. He knew about them for a long time but promised to say nothing to Dante or anyone else. So he sometimes went with Jen and Logan when they visited them in England.
"Lorenzo!" Jayda shouts as she sees him. He is already old and semi-retired. He only comes to visit sometimes to help out around the house.
"Ahh, young miss Casella, you are more beautiful than ever," Lorenzo says. He always calls the twins young master and young miss Casella. He refused to call them Petrov as he saw the twins as Casellas. Jayda kisses him on the cheek and hugs him. Dante looks at Lorenzo and frowns. Lorenzo looks away as he feels guilty keeping the secret from Dante. After breakfast, everyone starts getting ready for the picnic, and the twins are excited. Lorenzo sees Dante standing on the deck outside and walks over to him.
"I am sorry, Don, for keeping the secret from you, but I had to promise the Godfather, and I had no choice. I told them it is a mistake keeping it from you, but no one ever listens to old Lorenzo," Lorenzo says with a sigh.
"I have no hard feeling toward you, Lorenzo, but do me a favour and pack me a picnic basket for two, without anyone else seeing," Dante says. Lorenzo smiles and nods as he walks to the kitchen to do it himself.
