Jennie is in the kitchen alone with Jennifer. Jen looks at Jennie, and she can see why her son is crazy about this young woman. Jennie is beautiful but not full of herself. She is humble. She thinks she is not as attractive as Angelica and Mabel, but she is wrong. Jennie with her long ash-blond hair and soulful eyes. Jennie looks a lot like Melody but with an innocence Melody never had.
"Do you think you will be able to handle your mother and father today as well as Melody and Chase? I will not invite them if you can not," Jen asks Jennie.
"No, they can come. Nothing that they can say can hurt me anymore, Aunt Jen," Jennie says.
"They will not dare to say anything to you in my house, girl. You are like a daughter to Logan and me, and we love you and the twins with all our heart," Jen says.
"Thank you, aunt Jen," Jennie says. Jennie goes upstairs and changes into a bikini with a white sundress over it. They will be swimming, and she did not bring her swimsuit as she did not know they would be swimming. The only swimsuit that fits her is one of Mabel's bikinis. Jennie does not like to show off her body as she still thinks she is not as beautiful as the other girls, but there is nothing she can do about it now, and she does not want to be a spoilsport. They will first go to the spot the girls pick out and then come home after the picnic and swim. The older people will join them for the picnic and decide later if they also want to swim or not. It is a peaceful Sunday on the farm. Soon the guest arrives, and Jennie makes sure she stays close to Angelica, Mabel and the twins.
As they are driving to the spot, Dante grabs her hand and the twins to drive with him, and before Jennie knows it, they are all in his truck. Dante and the twins are talking while Jennie stares out the window at the beautiful scenery. She does not want to be alone with Dante. She can not trust herself around him. Dante is disappointed that Jennie is so quiet and not talking. He wants her to be part of the fun he and the twins are having on the way to the picnic site. He asks her a few questions, but she gives him short answers, and he gives up. The twins can feel the tension between their mom and dad. They know their mommy, and she does not look happy to be here. It upset Jayden and Jayda as they love her and wants to see her smile and laugh.
"Mommy, are you okay?" Jayda asks.
"Yes, my baby girl, I am great," Jennie says.
"Are you worried about uncle Carl?" Jayden asks.
"No, baby, I can handle him," Jennie says again.
"Well, forget about all the problems for one day and let's all have fun today. Be yourself, Jennie. Let's enjoy the day and forget about everything else. Tomorrow will sort out its own problems," Dante says.
"Be yourself for the twins," He whispers to her as they get out of the truck and go to the picnic site. Jennie smiles at him and knows he is right. She needs to be herself for the sake of the twins. Dante pulls a blanket out of his truck, and he, Jennie and the twins get the best spot. Jennie and Dante sit with the twins and soon start playing games. Finally, Jennie is relaxed and forgets to keep her guard up around Dante for the rest of the day. Jennie and Dante do not realise that they look like a couple in love. Jayden and Jayda are happy playing games with their parents. The picnic basket for two is still in Dante's truck as he plans on using it much later. Boris and Loraine look at the two young people with their children.
"They do make a beautiful family," Loraine says, and Boris can hear the lining in Loraine's voice.
"We will go see Jennie and the twins tomorrow night and talk to them. I will beg them for forgiveness on my knees if I have to. I was rude to Jennie, and I want her and the children in our lives," Boris promises Loriane.
"Thank you, honey. It will mean the world to me to have them back in our lives," Loraine says to Boris. Boris hugs her. They sit there looking at the twins, who are running all over the place.
Jennie gets the food out of the basket and gives the twins a sandwich and some juice. Then she takes a sandwich of her and Dante and a glass of wine. Dante is surprised that Jennie gave him food, but he does not say anything as he does not want her to distance herself from him again. Andrei, Mabel, Tristan and Angelica sit on one blanket, enjoying their time together. Tristan likes Angelica. Today she is relaxed, and her hair is not in a bun behind her head. Mabel is fun, but she is too outgoing for him. He knows she is a big star, and although she is, she is not a diva like some superstars. Andrei loves Mabel, and he does his best to get her attention. Mabel is quiet today as she can see Tristan is more interested in her sister than her. She had a crush on the Frenchman for years, but she can not keep her eyes off Andrei today. He has changed, and he is handsome and sexy.
Angelica is also feeling different toward Tristan. She always liked Andrei, but she knew her love for him was always doomed as he loved Mabel. However, she enjoys talking to Tristan, and his French accent is a big turn on for her. Tristan asked her out on a date, and she said yes. Angelica is looking forward to her date with Tristan. Andrei also asked Mabel out, and she agreed. They do not know about each other's dates, and for once, the sisters are too afraid to tell the other one about their dates. They both know the other one likes the guy they are going out with and don't know how to tell each other. Dante, Jennie and the twins are hot after eating and resting for about half an hour.
"We are going home to swim," Dante says, and Monica, Tristan, Angelica and Andrei also jump up to join them. Finally, everyone decides to go home. Jennie gets in Dante's truck with the twins, and soon everyone is following them home to the swimming pool. As they get home, Jennie is shy to get into the pool as she lacks confidence in her body and looks. She does not want to undress and stand in front of everyone with a tiny bikini. But she knows she has no choice. Jennie wished she knew they would swim to have brought her one-piece swimming suit. The twins and Dante are already in their swimming suits and are only waiting for her. Jennie takes her dress off and runs to the pool. Dante can not move for a few seconds as he sees her perfect body. She runs to the pool and dives in. Dante and the twins follow Jennie. Dante plays with the twins in the pool, but Jennie's picture in that bikini keeps flashing in his mind.
The twins get tired and get out of the pool. Dante follows them and makes sure they are dry. As Jennie gets out of the pool, Dante takes her photo on his cellphone. She looks like a goddess walking out of the pool dripping wet with that sexy bikini she is wearing. Dante is lying on a pool chair, and Jennie goes and sits on the one next to him. The twins are playing with the dogs in the shade near them. There is no dry towel, and Jennie wants to take one of the twin's towels to dry herself, but Dante grabs her and runs back to the pool with her. Before she can do anything, the two of them lands in the pool. The rest of the young people join them, and soon they are all playing in the pool. Dante has his arms around Jennie and will not let go. He loves holding her, and Jennie feels the warmth of his touch. She knows she has to be careful and can not give in to this man.
"I can swim, you know? No need to hold me all the time," Jennie whispers to Dante.
"I like holding you. Besides, you are beautiful, and that bikini is so damn sexy," Dante teases Jennie. She pushes him away from her and swims for the steps of the pool, but Dante catches her before she can reach it. He pulls her to the deep end with him again.
"Let go of me, Dante." Jennie whispers.
"Nope, not again. I love it when you call me Dante. It sounds so good on your lips," Dante teases her.
"Casella, you are pushing your luck," Jennie says. Dante laughs softly.
"You are cute when you get angry at me," Dante whispers in her ear and kisses her on her ear before anyone can see.
"Daddy, catch me," Jayda says as she jumps into the pool. Dante has no choice to let go of Jennie and catch Jayda. The twins can swim, as Jennie taught them from an early age. Jayden also jumps in and joins his mother, father and sister in the pool. They start playing games, and the rest joins in. They enjoy the rest of the afternoon. They all get out of the pool when it starts getting late, and Jennie says she and the twins need to go home as they need to go to work and school the next day.
"I will take you home," Dante says. He still has one surprise left for Jennie. He wants to talk to her alone. There are so many things he wants to tell her. He also has a confession to make to her.
"Thank you," Jennie says and is hoping Andrei or Tristan will step and say that she and the twins can get a ride with them, but no one offers as they all are going to stay for a barbeque. Jennie and the twins greet everyone but still ignore Loraine and Boris. They did not have a chance to talk today, and Jennie is too tired for a fight with them.
They walk out the door and to Dante's truck. His men follow them as Dante is their Don, and they will do anything to protect him. The twins have fallen asleep in the truck as they are tired of all the activities. It is quiet in the truck, and Jennie looks out the window again. She is also tired, and soon she falls asleep. Jennie wakes up when the truck stops, and Dante opens his door. Dante goes around and helps Jennie out of the truck. She looks sleepy, and Dante takes the picnic basket out with the bags. The twins wake up and help their dad bring their stuff inside. They go straight to their rooms. They are tired and sleepy, so they quickly take showers and get in their pyjamas. They come and say good night to their mother and father and go to bed. Dante puts the picnic basket on the ground in the sitting room, and Jennie frowns. Jen and Logan gave the children food before they went home, but Jennie did not want to eat anything as she was still not hungry.
"Picnic for two, princess," Dante says.
"Wow, well, this is a surprise," Jennie says as she does not know what to say. She can not be rude to Dante since he did go through all the trouble.
"We need to talk. There is so much I want to tell you," Dante says.
"Do we have to do it tonight?" Jennie asks.
"Yes, we have to do it tonight. You see, I have been looking for you for eight years, and I have to tell you why," Dante says.
"Fine, tell me why?" Jennie says, but Dante can see she is keeping her guard up.
"Relax. I am not going to bite you, sweetheart," Dante says.
"I am not so sure about that, but okay," Jennie says, and Dante laughs his soft sexy laugh that turns Jennie's knees to jelly.
"I looked for you for eight years because that stormy night I ..." The doorbell rings and Dante swear softly as he gets up to answer it. As he opens the door, Carl is standing in front of him with a bunch of yellow roses and a big box of chocolates.
