Chapter 10 Beautiful scenarys

MIA'S POV

It's Friday morning and the past two days Daniel has collected me from home and taking me to work, then had lunch and dinner with me before taking me home again.

The more time we spend together the more I love hanging out with him. We get along so well and laugh alot. I have to admit I think I'm getting a crush on him, I keep finding myself looking at Daniel admiring his good looks. However it's not just his looks I like, I really like his personality as well. We general click and get along well.

I've just finished getting ready for work and Daniel has insisted on picking me up since it's on his way to work anyway.

Today I decided pink dolly shoes, black trousers and a pink blouse. With a black jacket suit that matches my trousers. I've put my hair in a braided bun.

I grab my bag and head out to wait for Daniel. As I get down stairs I see he is as dapper as ever in a grey suit with a black shirt and grey tie, leaning against his car.

"Hey Mia" Daniel says opening the passengers door for me. Daniel is always a gentleman like that.

"Morning how are you today?" I ask.

"I'm good" he says before closing my door.

I buckle my seat belt in while Daniel gets into the car.

"So, how are we feeling about work today" Daniel asks. Infact he asks that every morning and makes sure I'm definitely fine before heading to his office, it's super sweet.

"Yes, good I'm starting to get back into the swings of things. Although some of your admirers keep giving me daggers now I can live with that" I say.

"Well I can't help I'm good looking" he says.

"No you can't, your have to blame Your parents for that" I say.

"Oh so you think I'm good looking then?" Daniel teases.

"Yeah, you ain't bad" I say winking as he clips his seat belt in.

"I will accept that answer, at least you don't think I'm ugly!" he says smiling at me.

"Aww even if you were a ugly duckling, I'd still like you for your personality" I say.

"Aww, thanks" he says while laughing.

"So me and Leah are going to lunch today do you want to join us?" I ask.

"Alright, it will be good to see Leah. I haven't seen her in a few days" he says.

"Okay, I will message Leah now and let her know" I say pulling my phone out my jacket pocket, As Daniel puts the radio on before heading towards the office.

As we pull up to the company I feel my phone vibrate on my lap where, I left it a few minutes ago. I quickly pick it up to read the message.

"Your sister says you better not be late down because I quote (she ain't freezing waiting for you)" I say laughing while getting out of the car. Then we walk towards the building.

"What? It's summer though" Daniel says as we walk into the building.

"I know" I say laughing

Suddenly someone rushes past me and I lose my footing and I'm falling. I squeeze my eyes shut while throwing my arms out trying to save myself. But instead I feel strong arms come around my waist and pulling me up. I open my eyes and look up to see Daniel looking down at me.

"That was a close call" he says.

"I know! Why are people always in a rush" I say while admiring his eyes.

"I don't know" he says while making sure I'm steady on my feet again, before he realises me from his arms.

"Thanks for saving me" I say

"Can't have you hurt now can I, only just had you come back to work! who else is going to save me from the crazy women?" Daniel says.

"Oh and there I thought you wanted to save me because you like me, but instead it's just so I can be your personal body guard" I say laughing while we walk into the lift.

"Oh don't worry, I like you as well" he says while looking me in the eyes.

"So do you want a coffee before we start work or do you need to go on up" I ask?

"I will come join you for a coffee first" says Daniel.

Once in the staff room I make us both a coffee and then we sit at the table while laughing and chatting. Then the same Women who I saved Daniel from the other day walks in.

"Oh, I was looking for someone else but I see Mr Wicks is here" she says taking a seat next to Daniel.

Me and Daniel just share a Omg look with each other.

"What brings the lovely Mr Wicks to the staff room up here?" She says

"You should come check out the staff room in the finace department, it's more classy down there" she adds while looking around the staff room in a disapproving way.

"I'm sure Mr Wicks, can choose where he wants to get coffee by himself" I say

"Ah, you again look no offence but your wasting your time! Mr Wicks would never choose someone like you over me so beat it" she says.

"Excuse me" says Daniel

"No!, No it's alright" I say to Daniel taking a hold on his hand. "This person here clearly has no morals or respect so how about we take our coffees to your office" I say while pulling his hand to stand up.

Daniel stands up while looking at me with an amused and smiling face. Then I link his arm with mine and say "come on Daniel let's not let others ruin our mood" and we walk out the door. By the time we are back in the lift we are laughing.

"How many times am I gonna have to save you from that crazy women?" I say

DANIELS POV

I couldn't believe how amazing Mia handled that women. I was admiring every second while loving how she took my hand then my arm and walked out with me head held high. I couldn't help but love the feel of her soft gentle hand within mine. And when she linked arms with mine I couldn't help but look at Mia with such pride.

Now we are in my office still laughing about it, while sat on the sofa.

"You know you made me late for work now" says Mia

"Aww, don't worry about that I know the boss! I can have a word if you like" I say.

"Oh, would you really! I can't risk losing this job you know" she says with a twinkle in her eyes.

"Tell you what, I have no meetings this morning. I can get enougher laptop in here and we can hang out this morning while working?" I suggest.

"Won't I just be in your way though" says Mia

"No, plus it gets boring stuck in here by myself! most of the time I'd welcome some Company" I say.

"Alright then" she says.

I buzz through to Jenny

"Mr Wicks, can I get you anything?" Jenny asks.

"Yes Jenny, please bring me a laptop to my office and oh two coffees as well please" I say.

"Okay, I will bring it in soon" she replys.

"Thanks Jenny" I say.

"Well that's that sorted then" I say

"What about Michelle? won't she wonder where I am?" says Mia

"True hang on a moment" I say smiling.

I pick up the office phone and ring down to Michelle's line

"Hello Michelle speaking" I hear Michelle say.

"Michelle it's Mr Wicks" I say.

"Oh, sir what can I do for you?" She asks.

"Nothing, I'm just informing you that Mia will be helping me this morning, in my office" I inform her.

"Okay sir, that's fine" Michelle says.

"Okay bye, Michelle" I say then hang up.

"There we go all fully sorted now," I say

Then in walks Jenny with a laptop

"Here you go Mr Wicks" , jenny says.

"Please give it to Mia she will be working in here this morning" I say.

"Okay, here you go Mia" %, jenny says handing it over to Mia.

"Thank Jenny" Mia says

"By the way Mia, its good to see you back again. I hope your well?" , jenny asks Mia.

"I'm good thanks Jenny" she replys.

Then Jenny leaves to get our coffees.

I worked at my desk while Mia took her shoes off resting her legs on the sofa, laptop on her legs facing my direction.

It wasn't long before Jenny came back with our coffees.

I checked my emails to see I have a invite to a charity ball.

"Mia I need a date", I say

"There's a building full of women, who would love to date you, Want Me to set up speed dating for you?" she asks while focusing on her work.

"No, i mean I need a date to a charity ball event, I don't need a date date" I say laughing.

"OOOOh" she says, while forming a ooo shape with her mouth.

"So how about it? fancy coming with me?" I ask her.

"When is it?" Mia asks.

"Not this Saturday but the Saturday after," I inform her.

"I've never been to anything like that before, I wouldn't know what to do or what to wear" Mia says looking abit nervous about it.

"Don't worry about that Mia, just attend with me and I can do the rest. As for what to wear we can go shopping and find something. And it's a company function therefore outfit expensives will be covered by the company," I say.

"Okay I will go, but you have to make sure I don't get drunk! I don't fancy a hangover on my birthday" Mia says.

"Thankyou so much, you have no idea how glad I am your be coming with me" I say while smiling.

Then I turn back to my work emails.

"Daniel what's the the charity event for? Which cause?" Mia asks.

"Oh the local hospital children's ward" I say.

"That's a cause Id happily do anything for" Mia says while typing away at the laptop still not even glancing my way.

She looks so elegant and a cute all focused on her work. She looks so lost in her work that I'm surpised she held a conversation with me. I quite like this contentment, it's nice having someone to work along side.

11:30am

Mia is still completely indulged in her work. I had Jenny bring in a drink around 10:30am for us.

"Mia it's 11:30 shall we start rounding up the morning work, ahead of lunch with Leah?" I ask.

"Okay give me a few minutes to finish this bit, then I shall be ready to get ready to go" she says.

"Okay" I say while shutting down my laptop.

A few minutes later Mia is ready and we are walking out for the lift.

"See you later Mr wicks and Mia" says Jenny.

"Have a good lunch" says Mia in response

"See ya Jenny" I say.

MIA'S POV

It's actually been a fun morning and I enjoyed resting my feet up while working. I kept stealing glances over a Daniel. I had to reframe from laughing at one point when he had frown lines he looked cute and funny.

I have no idea how to dress shop for a ball though so I'm a little worried about that.

"Mia! Daniel!" Leah shouts while running towards us, then she quickly hugs me.

"Alright, dear brother where are you taking us for lunch?" Leah asks.

"Hey! I said it's my treat" I say

"No that was when it was just us two, Daniels is now with us so that deal is off the table" she says.

"Hmm, this isn't over with just wait and see" I say.

"Okay! okay! next time when it's just me and you then you can treat me" says Leah.

"Okay, let's go get in the car" Daniel says

"Are we not eating near by" I ask?

"No and don't worry about the lunch hour remember I'm the boss" says Daniel.

"Okay" I say while Leah hooks her arm with mine as we walk are way to the car.

We ended up at an exclusive Radio rooftop bar & restaurant. It had clear glass above so you couldn't get wet in rainy weather but you could enjoy the skyline view of the city and sky all year round. We walked past black luxury sofas with little brown wooden coffee tables. We were then seated at a table that has black chairs wooden table with a white table cloth. Cutlery was already laid.

"Wow this place is amazing" I say while admiring the scenary.

"You look star struck" says Leah.

"I've never eaten in somewhere, as beautiful as this! I can't help but be amazed" I say.

A waiter takes our ordered and we wait for our food and drinks.

"Leah did you get a email to the the ball next week" ask Daniel.

"Yes, I did talking of which you should ask Mia to come along" Leah says.

"I already did" says Daniel

"Omg Leah your coming to?" I ask.

"Yes I am" Leah days.

"But I don't know what type of dress to get yet" she says.

"Eell, I don't know what type would be the right type" I say.

"Well how about we go buy them after lunch?" Leah asks.

"I can't, I have work" I say

"Daniel come on let Mia have the afternoon off" says Leah

"Alright, let's so shopping after lunch" say Daniel.

"Really we can just leave work?" I ask

"To right Daniels the boss after all" says Leah laughing at me.

"Okay, okay I say surrendering" I say smiling at Leah.

"How about we get ready together" says Leah

"we can go get our nails and hair done before getting ready as well" she also says.

"Oh I'd love that" I say getting excited about having some girlie time together.

"Okay well I will book us appointments for the afternoon, before we go get ready" says Leah.

"What time does the charity ball start?" I ask only just realising I didn't know.

"7pm" says Daniel.

We ate our meals while talking and laughing.

I still couldn't get over how lovely this place is as we left. I was looking out the windows admiring the views.

"Come on hurry" says Daniel "we can always come enougher time" he adds smiling at me.

"Yeah it's not going anywhere" says Leah while laughing at me.

"I know, but how can you not love that view" I say while we leave.

Before long we have left after they practically dragged me away from the amazing scenery, and are now in the car on our way to the shopping mall.
