Chapter 14 A cosy afternoon

MIAS POV

Daniels face was a picture he looked like he didn't know what to do laugh or cry.

Then after I said it can go the hospital for the children he looked at me with a huge smile, I swear it made my stomach have butterflys. I like it when Daniel smiles it makes me want to smile to. Although I had a wobble getting into the building this morning Daniel helped me through it without caring what people though. And he helps me relax when I feel stressed. Maybe I'm wrong maybe he does like me more than just a friend.

Maybe I'm just hoping for that though, if that's the case that would mean I like him alot though right? More than just a friend. Daniel has become more than just my boss he is more a best friend over a boss. And Leah well she is amazing as well. I think to myself.

"Mia what are you day dreaming about?" Daniel asks me.

"Huh" I say looking up to Daniel

"You look lost in your thoughts, are you okay?" He asks looking concerned at me.

"Yeah I was just thinking how funny it was when you saw the make up table" I say

"Okay well it's nearly lunchtime do you want to go out for lunch?" Daniel asks.

Aww sugar I should of packed a lunch I thought. Now I have to go back through the lobby downstairs, I think to myself while also mentally kicking myself.

"Um okay then" I say as I save my work and shut the laptop down

"Where do you want to go?" He asks

"How about Costa?" I suggest.

"Okay that's good with me" he says standing up from his desk.

We soon leave and are in the lift, I can feel myself getting anxious.

"Daniel" I grab his arm "I can't go out there it's going to be busy" I say while tightening my grip on his arm.

Daniel pulls me into a hug and says "you know what I have a better idea."

"What's that?" I ask.

"Your soon see" Daniel says. The lift door opens and he stand his back facing the doors whole he hugs me still until the doors shut. Then Daniel says "we are going back up, when we get to the top you go make us drinks while I sort lunch out okay?"

"Okay" I say and when the lift doors open he let's me go. I go to make drinks and come back a few minutes later.

"So what's for lunch?" I ask handing Daniel his drink

"Your soon see it's a surprise" Daniel says while winking at me.

20 minutes later Daniels phone PINGS

"Let's go" says Daniel

"Go where?" I ask

"Come on" he says while he takes my hand and leads me to the stairs.

"I can't go down there yet Daniel", I say

"Okay trust me close your eyes" he replys with a charming smile.

I close my eyes and Daniel lifts me into his arms

"Keep your eyes closed don't open them until I tell you understand and we will soon be out the building" Daniel whispers into my ear.

"Okay but this will cause more gossip" I say hiding my face into his chest to cover myself from others.

Daniel just laughs.

I can feel Daniel moving on the stairs but it feels like we are going up instead of down. Then really soon I hear Daniel say, "Mia keep your eyes closed but put your arms around my neck" so I do as he says and feel my way up Daniels chest to guide my hands around his neck.

Then he opens a door, and I can feel a breeze of wind around us.

"Afternoon sir" I hear a bloke say.

"Are we on the roof Daniel?" I ask

, Just wait and see, keep your eyes closed" is all Daniel says.

Then I'm sat into a seat. "Remember keep your eyes closed" he says again. Then I hear a door I think next to me shut, then before i know it Daniel is sat the to me saying "open your eyes."

I open my eyes and can see we are sat in the helicopter.

"Omg we're in the helicopter" I say in complete and utter shock, however feel like a i***t for stating the obvious and I can feel my cheeks are probably turning a little red.

"Yeah, you didn't want to leave for lunch via the lobby, You only hate the lobby facing so many people. So we didn't go through the lobby again today. Instead I had someone bring my helicopter so I can fly us out instead" Daniel says while giving me his cheeky grin.

"Thankyou that's the sweetest thing someone has ever done for me" I say.

DANIELS POV

I can tell Mia is in shock but also touched by me summing the helicopter to the work place.

"Okay let me help you get strapped in" I say as I start to strap Mia in.

15 minutes later we have just landed on my penthouse roof.

"You brought me to yours?" Mia asks.

"Yes are you hungry or not?" I ask

"Yes I'm hungry", Mia says while looking at me with her adorable eyes I could easily drown in.

"Well then let's have lunch" I say.

I get out and go round to help Mia down. As I lift Mia down from the helicopter she gives me a hug saying "thankyou" at the same time.

"You don't have to thank me Mia I'd rather see you happy than upset. Come on I let's go eat," I say.

Once we walk into mine I ask what she wants for lunch.

"I will have a sandwich please but let me help you" , she says.

"Okay, thanks" I say.

I'm buttering the bread while Mia slices cheese, cucumber and spring oninons.

I add the coleslaw to two layers of bread then leave them with Mia to fill once the cheese is finished being cut.

I then turn around to grab plates and Leave them next to Mia then turn back round to put the kettle on.

As I turn around to see how Mia is getting on, Mia turns around as well and we collide. I see Mia lose her balance so I throw my arm around her waist and bring her towards me. Mia looks up to me with wide eyes. I don't know what came over me but I kissed her, Mia then put her arms around my neck kissing me back. I lift her up to the side counter while we were still kissing. I place her on the edge of the counter side and stand as close as I can while our kiss gets even more passionate.

Suddenly Mia pulls back and says "Sorry I um don't know what came over me" as she takes her arms back.

"No it's me who kissed you and I'm not sorry" I say

"Your not, why?" Mia asks

"Because I've liked you for months" I say pulling a strand of her lose hair behind her ear.

"Really?" She says while look me in the eyes.

"Yes, I really like you alot" I say

She seems shocked.

"Do you like me?" I ask

"I'm not sure, I think so" she says

"Then can we maybe try dating, because I'd really love to date you" I say suddenly before I lose the nerve to ask again.

"Um let me think about it" Mia says

"Okay" I say as I help Mia of the kitchen side and we decided on some fruit juice before taking our sandwiches to go watch some NCIS

Mia seemed really quite while she was eating. I figured I'd not say anything as I didn't want to scare her away, plus I was a little nervous suddenly about making small talk.

She suddenly said

"Okay but I have one condition"

"What's that?" I ask trying not to sound nervous.

"I don't want people at work to know not after yesterday" Mia says.

"Okay I wouldn't tell them anyway but I will make sure to be extra careful so they don't find out", I reply while I can feel my smile growing.

"Thankyou" Mia says.

"Does that mean your date me?" I asked for clarification for myself.

"Yes I will date you" she says smiling at me. I lean over and kiss her again pulling her into my arms at the same time.

When we came up for air, I looked dazingly into Mia's eyes while saying, "Mia you have no Idea how happy you just made me, you won't regret dating me" I promise.

Mia hugs me and I wrap my arms around her waist holding her close to me.

"What made you say yes?" I ask

"Like I said I think I like you to but also because you make me laugh, I think we get along really well and your genuine as well as kind. I thought I couldn't find fault with you only myself" she says.

"Why did you find fault with yourself?" I ask confused.

"Because I'm an emtional wreck since my mum. I have good days but still alot of bad days. Then I realised you have seen the worst of them days, but only been a rock of support so I probably wouldn't scare you off to easily with my bad days anyway." she says with a slight shrug.

" Like I said before losing your mum is a big deal it will take time and I won't hold it against you for grieving. Everyone grieves differently take all the time you need. No matter what I will support you through it so don't go finding fault with yourself. You shine like a bright star to me. You have since the first day I saw you and heard you laughing at work. Since then I tried to keep coming by the department to steal glances at you try hold a conversation in passing to get your attention. But then I happened to see you collapse crying and screaming I couldn't turn a blind eye. But I decided to just be a friend until you were ready. Until today when I couldn't help myself catching you in my arms I kissed you without thinking. But during these last few weeks being there just as a friend I've learnt more about you and the more I learnt the more I like you. " I say.

With that Mia kissed me and I didn't hold back in kissing her back. She ran her hands through my hair as I held a hand on her lower back and my other gently cupped her face by the ear and neck. I kissed down the other side of her neck and I heard Mia moan then I kissed up near her ear before saying...

"Mia I'd really like to carry you to my bed hearing you moan like that so I can make sweet love to you. I wanna hear you moaning my name, but I won't be doing that until I've officially taken you out on at least one date.

Mia went all shy hiding her face in the crook of my neck I just held her in my arms until she was ready to come out of hiding then I kissed those sweet lips again

MIA POV

This is crazy I think to myself Daniel actually likes me and wants to date me.

We have been cuddle up most of the afternoon watching NCIS

"What do you want for dinner?" asks Daniel

"I should go home soon" I say

"Please stay, have dinner with me then I will take you home afterwards when your ready" he says to me while kissing my forehead.

"Alright" I say and quickly peck his lips with a kiss. I go to sit up so we can sort dinner but Daniel pulls me back down to him.

"Where are you going?" He asks.

"Help you with dinner" I say.

"I don't think so you can't quickly kiss me like that then run" he says, before I have a chance to reply Daniel is kissing me again deeply and senually. His hand is smoothly running up and down my back. I wind my hands around his neck. I guide myself into a better sitting position on Daniels lap. Daniel then kisses along and up my jaw line to my ear, then down my neck.

"Mmm" I moan as I run one hand through his hair. Daniel then wraps a arm around my waist pulling me closer to him and says "That's whats happens when you moan like that angel" And I can feel his member is huge and rock hard.

"Don't kiss my neck like that and I won't moan like that" I reply. Daniel kisses me again quickly on the lips then both my cheeks

"Okay, so what are we having for dinner?" Daniel asks.

"I don't mind" I say

"Hmmm okay, well you just stay here and cuddle me I will sort it" he says while giving me a wink.

"How can you sort it if I'm cuddled up to you?" I ask while raising an eyebrow to indicate my confusion.

"Here watch" he says getting his phone out. Then he gets onto deliveroo and orders in from a local Chinese restaurant.

"Why did you do that? I could of cooked or helped you cook" I say.

"I know but I want to stay like this a little while longer. I like cuddling up with you" he says while kissing my forehead again

"So do you feel like you want to try going back to work tomorrow?" Daniel then asks

"Not really it's the to many people staring in the lobby, I know what they all think I say" with a pouting sad face.

"Okay how about we arrive half hour early and you can leave half early at home time?" Say Daniel

"Okay I will try that" I say.

"I will pick you up for work and go in with you, that way you will have me beside you. But you shouldn't worry about what people think, and its all been dealt with" he says before kissing me again so I can't argue back.

Before long the food arrives, after dinner we watched a film before Daniel took me home. I had a quick shower, then put some clothes on to wash before I rang my dad.

Hmm no answer

So I ring Rosie

RING RING RING RIN

"Hey how are you?" Rosie asks.

"I'm, okay but I can't get through to my dad" I reply.

"Ah, that's because my dad kidnapped him, taking him night fishing, infact my dad didn't take no for a answer. After they left I made out I needed to feed Bella but quickly did all the housework for your dad, so he doesn't have to do it tomorrow" she says.

"Omg thankyou so much, I love you both loads for getting dad out of the house" I say.

"It's nothing honestly" Rosie says and I can imagine her hand waving it off the other end of the phone

"How's Bella?" I ask.

"She is putting on weight nicely and I've got the swing on a routine now" Rosie says in a cheerful tone.

"I'm glad for you, give Bella a kiss from aunty Mia* I say following with an imaginary blown kiss sound through the phone.

" Alright enough of everyone else how are you? "Rosie asks me.

" It's been a weird 2 days so much has happened. I was close to coming home "I say.

" What happened? "Rosie practically shouts down the phone

I explain everything that happened with Claire and then the spa and then today and how me and Daniel are now dating without letting Rosie speak, but I heard" I'm gonna kill her"and "aww I like Leah and Daniel". Then "I f*****g knew you liked Daniel! go you two finally dating." During my whole explanation.

Then as I finished explaining it all I say

"Rosie I hate walking into work! they all look at me should I quit?"

"Don't you date quit! Your going to keep your job and your gonna show em all your not afraid of them or so God help me, I will storm the office just like Leah" Rosie says.

I can't help but laugh while saying "yeah they would be screwed if you show up because there won't be a building left."

"So you betta show em, before I do just that" she simply replys.

"I will your the best you know that?" I say.

"I know WHAAA WHAAA" I hear.

"I gotta go, Bella has woken" Rosie says quickly.

"Okay give her a kiss for me love you both bye, I quickly reply.

" Bye "she quickly replys before she hangs up.
