Chapter 18 first date

DANIELS POV

I woke up at 9:45am with a headache from drinking abit to much last night.

I'm late for work, so I hurry to shower and grabbed some toast on the way out the door. Tonight is the night for my date with Mia, I can't wait to see Mia face when she sees what I have in store for her. I know she will love it. I decide to quickly ring Mia see how she is once I've got to the office.

As I exit the lift I say "morning" to Jenny while I continue to walk to my office.

"Mr Wicks are you still okay for the meeting in at 11?" Jenny asks.

"Yes, I'm going to prepare now, please get me a coffee." I say.

"But Mr Wicks" Jenny goes to say but I cut her off saying. "In 10 minutes Jenny, Please I need a coffee first" Then I approach my office.

"But Mr Wicks its just" Jenny says a little louder.

"10 minutes Jenny" I say. Then I walk into my office.

"Mia what are you doing here?" I say seeing she is on the sofa laptop in hand.

"Daniel I told you, I'd be fine to work so I came to work" Mia says smiling like she won a poker game or something.

"I said to take a day's rest though." I say with a raised eyebrow.

"I know but I want to work, I'd go crazy at home" Mia says.

"Okay and you was okay walking in alone?" I ask while taking a seat next Mia.

"Yes, I was nervous but decided I'd have to do it eventually alone, although I used your lift I hope that's okay?" Mia says

"Of course it is, I'm proud of you even though you should of been at home. I'm still proud you came in all by yourself" I say then I quickly kissed Mia.

"Daniel why are you late this morning?" Mia asks.

Jenny comes in with my coffee and one for Mia.

"Mia I thought I'd make you one as well" Jenny says

"Thankyou Jenny, but I don't mind making my own" Mia says

"I know, but I was there anyway" Jenny says.

"Thanks Jenny" I say as she leaves the office. And I realise she isn't impressed that I ignored her warning of Mia being here.

"Well?" says Mia

"Oh yeah I'm late because I over slept, after a night out with Ben" I say.

"Daniel I think I may try going back to the department from next week, I can't hide up here forever." Mia suddenly says.

"You can hide here as much as you like but if you think your ready then that's fine to, just remember if it's gets to much just come back here okay?" I say.

She squeezes my hand and says "okay".

"How did you sleep last night?" I ask.

"It was okay, even when I woke up it didn't take long to go back to sleep. I think the sleep was catching up with me last night." Mia says

I pull Mia into a hug and kiss her forehead.

"Daniel I'm okay, now I need to finish my work before lunch I have to submit it to Michelle." Mia says

"Okay" I say standing up and I decided to get on with my work to.

The rest of the day went smoothly, I had my meeting then joined Mia for lunch. We then worked until 5pm before I dropped Mia home to get ready for the date.

MIA'S POV

I don't know why but I feel a little nervous for the date, even though Daniel and I have already spent the night together and get along really well, I think it's just because it's an official date. Although I'm a little nervous, I have butterflies of excitement as well. I quickly take one last look at my appearance in the mirror. I decided to curl my blonde hair loosely. Applied a little make up, pale pink eyeshadow that makes my blue eyes stand out. A little foundation and blusher with light red lipstick. I decided to wear a pink midi strappy dress. Black heels and had a pink clutch purse. Then I head out the door at 7:20 to wait for Daniel downstairs.

PING I hear as I walk out the building I quickly check my phone to see who messaged me.

ROSIE

I hope you have a great date, I will ring you tomorrow for all the gossip. Now go enjoy yourself love from us all xx

I quickly type my reply while smiling

Thanks, I'm a little nervous but excited to. Will speak to you tomorrow. Give my cutie pie a kiss good night from aunty Mia xx

As I'm putting my phone back into my bag I see Daniel pulling up. I quickly make my way over to the car and Daniel gets out the car holding a beautiful bouquet of flowers. "These are for the most beautiful women I have ever laid eyes upon" says Daniel while passing them to me.

"There lovely thankyou" I say before kissing his cheek.

He takes my hand and walks me to the passenger door to open it for me like a gentleman. "Are you ready?" Asks Daniel.

"Yes" I say while smiling getting into the car.

Daniel gets into the car then turns towards me "Mia I've planned something amazing but I want it to be a surprise" he says while taking a blindfold out of his pocket. I eye Daniel curious as to why he has a blindfold.

"Please will you put this blindfold on until the reveal" asks Daniel smiling at me.

I smile, "hmm let me think about it a minute" I say.

Daniel looks at me patiently while smiling.

"Okay give it here." I say laughing

Instead Daniel gently puts the blindfold over my eyes followed by a quick kiss.

"Are you ready?" Daniel asks me

"As ready as I will ever be" I say.

I then hear the car start up and we feel the car is starting to moving.

"Daniel can we at least listen to the radio?" I ask.

"Yeah what station do you want to listen to?" I hear Daniel say

"Any i don't mind" I say.

Daniel puts on the local radio station, I then enjoyed the music the rest of the way. I didn't even realise the car had stopped I was so engrossed in the song on until Daniel turned it off while announcing "we are here".

"So can I take the blindfold off now?" I ask.

"No, not just yet very soon though, stay there and I will help you out the car angel." Daniel says.

Daniel was correct in what he said, he helped me out the car and lead me so I didn't fall walking to our destination. I soon realised we were in a lift moving upwards. Then Daniel lead me out the lift we didn't walk to far before he wrapped his arms around my waist from behind.

Daniel then whispered in my ear "you can remove the mask now Mia".

I took the mask off and was stunned by my surroundings it looked like the same skyscraper we had lunch recently in, accept it was just us no one else around with candles everywhere.

"Isn't this where we had lunch the other day?" I asked.

"Yes, your right I could tell how much you loved it so I arranged for it to be just ours for the evening" Daniel said before kissing my cheek.

A waiter then appeared with blonde hair and light brown eyes. Not much shorter than Daniel dressed in a black shirt, black trousers and a red tie.

"Hi, I'm Jackson your waiter for this evening let me show you your table" he said.

"Thankyou" I said as Daniel said "lead the way" at the same time.

I could help but laugh as we followed the waiter to our table. Daniel held out my chair for me to sit down before taking his seat opposite mine.

"Would you like any drinks before you order your meal?" asked Jackson.

"I will have a beer please, what about you Mia, what would you like?" Daniel said.

"Could I please have this cocktail" I say pointing to it on the menu knowing I always get tongue tied trying to pronouce it.

"Sure I will bring them back soon" said Jackson.

DANIELS POV

I got the reaction I planned from this surprise, Mia seems so shocked but happy at the same time.

"Did you like the surprise Mia?" I asked once the waiter disappeared.

"I love it, but you didn't need to book out the whole place just for us" she said smiling at me.

"I knew you loved it here before so I had to step it up a little instead of just a simple dinner, hense the candles and just us so your can enjoy the city's skyline at night without anyone bothering us" I said.

"Its the most romantic thing to ever happen to me, thankyou Daniel" Mia says with a glowing smile, twinkling eyes and taking my hand in hers.

"Here is your drinks" said Jackson arriving back with our drinks.

We quickly ordered our food.

"Mia would you like to dance with me while we wait for the food?" I asked as I stood up to hold out my hand for Mia.

Mia smiled up at me saying "of course I'd loved to" while taking my hand.

I encircled my Mia into my arms pulling her close to my body. Mia wrapped her arms around my neck and we gently swayed to the music. As the song was coming near to the end I kissed Mia softly but passionately until we had to catch our breaths.

We danced a few more songs until the food arrived.

"Are you looking forward to the charity ball tomorrow?" I ask

"Yes, I think it might be fun. What about you are you excited?" She said me back.

"Of course I am, I'm going to have the most beautiful women on my arm." I say.

"You haven't even seen my dress yet, how could you know if I'm going to be the most beautiful women there or not? What makes you so sure?" Mia asks.

"The clothes don't matter, your naturally beautiful with an identical beautiful personality and soul. Therefore I already know your be the most beautiful one there. like a angel brighten up the whole room" I simply reply.

"Your pretty handsome yourself unless you have a pancake on your head" she replied with a wink.

"You know that pancake added to my looks, don't deny it sweetheart." I say laughing.

"It sure did, you know if you wasn't a ceo you would be a famous chef with your skills" Mia says sounding seriously.

"You really think so? You like my cooking that much?" I ask.

"Yeah, I love everything you cook always tastes so amazing" Mia says.

I couldn't help but smile so proudly of myself.

After dinner was done we cuddled up on one of the sofas admiring the city nightfall skyline. We spent a good hour sat there enjoying each others company, and chatting about our childhoods.

As we were walking back to the car Mia suddenly stopped.

"What's wrong?" I asked

"Nothing, I'm just not ready for the evening to end yet, can I come back to yours and watch a movie with you Daniel? would that be okay?" Mia says looking at me smiling.

"Of course it's okay your welcome anytime you want" I say bring Mia in for a hug while I kissed her forehead.

The next morning I was woken by Mia trying to escape my arms.

"Where are you going?" I ask bring Mia back into my arms.

"Your awake?" Mia says sounding shocked by this fact.

I started kissing Mia's neck while roaming her soft naked body.

"Daniel behave, you had me up half the night how can you be ready for more so soon?" Mia says with a pout.

"I'd always be ready to make love with you" I whispered into Mia's ear.

A hour later I finally allowed Mia to escape my bed. As Mia ran into the bathroom to have a shower I opted to use the guest bedroom for a shower.

As I walked back into my bedroom with just a towel around my waist Mia was walking out the bathroom in a towel.

I whistled leaving Mia blushing.

"Alright get dressed I have to meet Leah soon" Mia said while heading for the clothes of hers in the guest bedroom.

Once we were dressed I made us pancakes knowing how much Mia loved them. I couldn't help but just be happy. Even though it was early days into dating I couldn't help but feel so happy. I never felt like this before not even with my exs. Mia was certainly different and I know I will do anything to keep Mia happy, just to see her happy makes me feel amazing.

"Daniel what are you thinking about? You seem lost in thoughts" Mia asks looking at me.

"I was just thinking how much I enjoyed hearing you scream my name last night" I say teasing Mia.

"Hmm, I'm sure you were calling my name while you were cumming inside me all 6 times I recall" she replied back.

"Don't worry I plan to repeat all again tonight." I say winking at Mia.

"Alright hurry up and finish your breakfast, I need to meet your sister." Mia says trying not to laugh.

"Okay, I will drop you off and pick you up this evening at 7:30pm, so we can get to the charity ball for 8pm is that okay?" I ask.

"Yeah that's fine with" Mia starts to say but stops as we hear Mia's phone start to...

RING RING RING RIN

"Hey Leah" says Mia as she answers her phone.

Oh god I better hurry up and eat my breakfast, before I have both them moaning about the time I thought to myself.

"Yeah, of course I'm still coming I'm just waiting on your brother to hurry up eating his pancakes" says Mia

"Daniel Leah said to tell you don't worry about finishing the pancakes bring it with you so she can eat them instead, as well as have me there sooner" said Mia laughing.

"Tell Leah we will be half hour and no I'm not sharing my breakfast." I say laughing.

Mia quickly ended the call.

Once I finished my breakfast I took Mia to meet my sister.
