Third Person’s POV

“How did the dinner go?” Leona asked her brother after he came back from the date his father had set up for him with Lady Amanda, he went straight to sleep and the next day early in the morning his sister came to see him

“Well she’s definitely not the woman I want to spend the rest of my Life” Alexander said to his elder sister as he dragged himself out of bed

“Really?” Leona asked her brother sounding uninterested. “Yes! She is just this type of woman I just…. Can’t really say” Alexander said coming back to his room

“Snobbish? Drama queen?” Leona said with a grin on her face as she helped spread his bed

“Well, Something like that! Do you know how many minutes she spent trying to decide what to eat? Then talk about her whining about the steak she ordered? I definitely can not deal with such” Alexander said pulling out clothes to wear

“I see the reason why your father is not happy!” Leona said to her brother as he came out trying to tuck in his shirt

“I do not care as of this moment what makes him happy, I can not accept such a woman as a wife. I told him I will decide which woman I will be settling with and who will be my future queen” Alexander said to Leona as he almost made his way downstairs for breakfast with the King

“brother you might want to wear something appropriate” She said looking at him walking out after she saw him in casual pants and a shirt.

“Oh! And you smell of alcohol” She said before closing the door.

“Good morning Father, Mother!” Alexander greeted his father after he reached the table where he was sitting with his mother

“Good morning Alexander!” his mother was the only one who responded, Alexander quietly sat down as the maids brought his food.

He started eating the breakfast as he enjoyed the meal his father was looking at him but alexander’s attention was fixed on the plate, he was eating form

“How could you be eating like that when you caused lady Amanda not to eat or have any sleep?” His father started speaking as Alexander continued eating

“Alexander!” He said slamming the table making everyone startled, alexander rolled his eyes before he lifted up his head turning to his father

“We both know that’s not true! She ate her food soundly last night and slept soundly. I told you that I will marry the woman I will choose! All these dates you are sending me to, you are wasting your time” Alexander said to him and his father didn’t know what to say

“You can decide for yourself; I take the royal duties and marry when I wish to. Or marry now and step away from all the duties, your choice” He said looking into his father’s eyes, his father wanted him to be responsible and thought marriage will help but Alexander was not ready

“Fine! I will let you decide when you can marry, but no more of these wild nights! No more hearing about you being in the press because you were flirting with some young lady. From now onwards still to one woman you wish to flirt with until you find your wife” His father said and Alexander nodded his head, was he going to manage to stick to one woman?

Eight years later

“Your father won’t be happy this!” Harry told Alexander who had yet refused to marry the woman his father had asked that he meets to talk about his marriage, People were talking about how it took him so long>

“Well, I warned him about this!” Alexander said looking at the news of the drought in Zambia, Africa.

“Come on Alex, you are not getting any younger,” Harry advised his friend who was not paying attention

“Am only 32 years old,” Alexander replied trying to find out more information about the aid the country is receiving

“Have you heard about the drought in Africa?” Alexander asked harry was not really into politics

“Well, Africa is a continent! So which country?” Harry sarcastically replied

“Zambia, it’s in the southern part of Africa” Alexander explained to harry who seemed not interested

“I know but I am not sure if reports are true” Harry responded, going to pour himself some whiskey.

“Look at this!” Alexander said giving his tablet to harry, as he looked at the video of the report.

“Wow! This is sad! Were You not set to go there as you will have your work in Africa, right?” Harry asked

“Yes, I was but canceled it… Didn’t know the situation is that bad in these countries” Alexander said paying attention, he got his phone calling Scott.

“On my working trip to Africa make sure you include a few days in Zambia, I want to make sure that I see the affected areas with the drought,” Alexander instructed as Scott recorded the assignment in his diary

“I will be sure to inform the ambassador in Zambia” Scott replied before alexander cut the call, his trip was in a few weeks and Alexander took this as an opportunity to run away from his father for a little while.

“Hey, baby!” Ximena greeted Jacinta after she got in the cafeteria where Jacinta was getting their lunch

“Sorry am here!” Ximena squeezed herself in the queue where people were lined up trying to get their food

“Hi, you took long today,” Jacinta said giving Ximena her plate, “Had a patient to attend to!’’ Ximena said to Jacinta as they dished for themselves

“And the trip to Africa? I thought you handing everything over today?” Jacinta asked as they had both agreed to do it a week earlier.

“Well dr. you know who. Said I can do it a day before my trip” She replied trying to mention names,

“Does he know that you are human?” Jacinta said as they made their way to their seats.

“Well he thinks am superwoman” Ximena replied starting to eat as Jacinta smiled widely,

“Why are you smiling?” Ximena asked seeing Jacinta was smiling

“Guess who just walked in?” Jacinta asked her friend as she was blushing to look at the hot doctor

“Judging by the smile I know who it is,” Ximena said continuing to stuff food in her mouth,

“Damn! He's like a Greek god walking on this earth, you really should give him a chance” Jacinta said pointing to him with her eyes

“Dr Perez! Long time no see” the hot doctor greeted Ximena who smiled turning to him

“Dr. Park indeed it has been. How have you been?” Ximena replied looking at him

“been great! Am told you are one of those people who are volunteered to go to Zambia?” He said to Ximena whose eyes were now fixed on Jacinta, how was it that Jacinta just couldn’t keep her mouth shut? Ximena inwardly thought to herself.

“yes! I did and will be traveling later this week” Ximena explained to the doctor

“That’s great! I do hope you enjoy your time there, make sure you visit the Victoria Falls” He said to Ximena who was nodding her head like she was paying attention but was just looking forward to him leaving her alone with Jacinta

“Thanks, I will do” Ximena responded without saying anything more, he looked around before saying bye to them and walking away.

“You really have issues,” Ximena said standing up to leave

“Well I am trying to hook you up with someone that’s all” Jacinta replied with no remorse

“I don’t need a man! I told you I am fine” Ximena insisted clearing her plate

“Well, you are not! You haven’t gone on a date in 8 years. Do you think that’s fine? I told you to chase your dream not become a monk or nun” Jacinta said trying to explain her reasons and Ximena just brushed her off

“Believe it or not am fine, when the right time comes, I will meet a man who will love me and is willing to fight for me not being pushed like Dr. Someone I know,” Ximena said to Jacinta who was not convinced

“Ximena there’s no prince out there, or a perfect man just settles with whoever is available and forget about the rest,” Jacinta said to her friend who was shaking her head.

“Nope! I am sure I will find a man that’s close to perfect. Who knows maybe I might find my Africa king?” Ximena said raising her eyebrows teasingly and winking at Jacinta, before taking some water to drink

“Well I do hope so because I am afraid you might be a virgin again” Jacinta commented making Ximena choke on the water looking around as people stared at her. Jacinta gently patted Ximena’s back

“Relax! You will be fine” She said putting her hands in her white coat before walking away, Ximena stood there shocked by what she just heard. Was her friend normal? She really needed to get her life, how could she even think of meddling in her affairs? Ximena had enough of being used by men all she wanted now was just to focus on her career
