Luciel stared at his twin for a second or two before his eyes gleamed in crimson red and attacked Sachiel, caught him, and held him tightly on his collar which Sachiel didn’t seem to pry away. “Don’t f**k with me!”
“I’m telling you the truth, Luciel.”
Luciel scoffed and gritted his teeth. “Serenity’s soul reincarnated as a human being? That’s just bullshit!”
“I am telling you the truth, Luciel. I will not dare lie to you, especially in a situation like this,” Sachiel said in a calm voice. “Michael told me about this while we investigate Percival’s motives in both the Celestial and Human realm and we discovered that Serenity’s soul got reincarnated and he was after it. Michael didn’t go further with regards to the whereabouts and details or what’s the name of the human who’s now holding Serenity’s soul as her reincarnation but he did say that Father had his reason and everything has a reason.”
Luciel decided to let go of Sachiel. With a bitter chuckle, he spoke. “After that Father of yours let that happen, he still had the audacity to do that to Serenity?”
“Luciel…”
“I won’t forget what happen even if that means I can’t forgive anyone involved in it, even that Father of yours.”
“They took longer,” Romina said as she kept on pacing outside their classroom. Sachiel told her that they will not be going to take an hour but the class was about to end and Luciel wasn’t coming back to the classroom. She even excused herself to go ‘to the bathroom’ but the truth is she’s waiting for Luciel to come back. “I hope they didn’t hurt each other since all Sachiel wanted was to talk to Luciel.”
This can’t do. What if they really fought each other again?
“I’ll just go check on them,” she was about to walk her way, planning to go up the rooftop when she saw Luciel walking silently towards the classroom. “Luciel!”
Luciel’s blank gaze settled at Romina who’s now flaunting a worried face at him.
Serenity’s soul… is inside a human being.
The angel appeared all b****y on his silver frock as he extended his hand, as if he was trying to grab someone. His left arm was pierced with a red arrow and she could see how b****y and pained he looked now.He was weeping as he kept on saying words that she couldn’t understand. She extended her hand to hold him but she paused mid-air when she again saw how b****y her hand and arm was and she saw how she fell from the sky… and lost her senses and her life that moment.
“SERENITY!!!”
“Luciel…” he snapped back to reality as he heard Romina’s voice and saw her anxious face flaunting at him. “A-Are you okay?”
Luciel just blankly stared at her which made her bite her lower lip anxiously and spoke. “I-I’m sorry for what I did earlier. I’m sorry for setting you up like that. I know you don’t want to see or talk to Sachiel but the poor guy was begging at me and I was also trying to help the both of you—which I know I don’t have the authority to do it—so…”
Her guardian demon walked towards her and she squeezed her eyes shut, anticipating what Luciel will be going to do to her.
But all did she heard was a snap and she felt that the time and space around them suddenly stopped and she felt warmth around her. She slowly opened her eyes and saw Luciel hugging her.
“Lu-Luciel, wh-what’s happening…”
“Stay,” Luciel murmured in her ear as he hugged her tighter. “I am upset and I don’t feel good so just stay.”
Romina didn’t object and responded to his embrace. “Okay.”
“Michael didn’t go further with regards to the location and minutiae or what’s the name of the human who’s now holding Serenity’s psyche as her rebirth but he did mention that Father had his reason and this entirety of events has a reason.”
Luciel buried his nose on Romina’s hair while hugging her, as if he didn’t have plans of letting her go.
I don’t have plans of doing the same mistake again. Luciel thought as he kept on holding Romina in his arms. Human or not, I won’t let go of her… not once, not twice. Definitely not a chance.
Even if I’m going to go against three realms at once.
