China’s P.O.V

“We are three miles outside of Alpha James’ territory. "He has granted us permission to stay the night in cabins near the border,” Ray stated. “He has requested that we post patrol along these borders while we are here.”

“O-okay. Do we have any wolves who are capable of doing so?” I asked.

“Yes!. We had 8 warriors who came ahead of us from Alpha Donald’s Pack. They left yesterday to inform him of our arrival.” he replied.

“Yesterday? How could they have known this yesterday? My mate hadn’t rejected me until this morning.” I questioned. Halting in place I turned to my brother and friend. “Adrian, Ray. Explain, now!” A look of horror and guilt washed over their faces.

“We are sorry China. We overheard Alpha Donald talking to...um” Ray began.

"..."

“UMMMM? Who the hell is UMMM? Someone needs to start talking and finishing. I want to know how this was prepared yesterday if things didn’t take place until today?” I spat.

“...”

“Ohhhh... So, no one wants to speak up I see.” Adrian and Ray glanced between each other and began to scratch the back of their neck. I was seething. How could they know this? Yet no one felt the need to inform me.

“Well, you see. We think this is a conversation we should have once we arrive at the cabins. I promise sister we will have all of the answers you seek.” Adrian gulped.

I glared at them with my arms across my chest, glued to my spot, tapping one foot. I raised an eyebrow and relaxed my body.

“Okay. I’ll wait until we get to the cabin.” I smiled. I watched as a look of horror swam across their faces and beads of sweat rolled down. If anyone knew my change in mood it would be these two. They knew that I was not one to let things ride in peace.

“Ummm, sister? Please don’t be too rash... umm, we... we promise that we planned to tell you everything at the cabin.” Adrian mumbled. “We will tell you once we arrived.”

I turned on my heels and shot them a wink “Okay.”

Raymond’s P.O.V

“Oh, s**t we are dead,” Adrian stated

“Really? What gave that away, Adrian?” I shivered. “Was it the maniacal laugh, the menacing glare, or the sunshine and rainbow wink she gave?

“No! It is the carving on the tree that says, ‘you’re dead’ that gave it away.” he trembled.

“What? What carving?” I looked up and low and behold China patted a tree that she leaned against. The smile on her face may have seemed sweet and innocent but her eyes gave away her rage. As she walked away you could see the carving in the tree that her legs hid. No mistake there was a tombstone carved into the base of the tree.

‘Here lies Adrian Rowland and Raymond Ward. May they burn in hell with their secrets’

*GULP*

“Oh f**k! We are so dead”

“Bwahahahahahaha” her maniacal laugh filled the air.

“Well Ray, let’s go face the maniac, spill the beans, and go out like men. Like warriors. At least we already know where our bodies will be buried.” Adrian joked.

“Adrian, her laugh was not one that says we will be buried, it says we will burn.” I shivered and slowly walked ahead to my impending doom. "We are going to die a slow painful death. I just hope she kills us before she sets us ablaze."

‘I’m too young to die. I haven’t found my mate yet you imbecile’ Dominic my wolf whined.

‘Didn’t you tell me you have lived before? You have met mate on many occasions, Dominic. So that makes you a liar twice.’ I stated

‘Well at least 1 out of 3 claims I made was correct.’ he snickered

‘Wait what?’

He laughed and retreated to the back of my mind. Stupid wolf.

'You know we could just avoid her for a few hours right' Adrian linked me.

'How the hell do you suppose we do that Adrian? You do know that your sister is the daughter of Satan right? And why the hell are you mind-linking me?

'Well dunce, for one this will keep her from knowing that we are going to avoid her. And two, Satan has nothing on her. I swear he vacations with Selene herself when China goes to Hell.' we both laugh.

"Hey, guys, what's so funny?" China asks coming out of nowhere. Where the hell did she come from? I swear she was just at the front of the pack.

'Where the f**k did she come from?' Adrian yelped. 'Umm Ray, I think I just s**t my pants'

I look at him with wide eyes. Please sweet Moon Goddess don't let me die today.
