A Bad News

I was recovering fast as the wounds weren't that deep and nothing else was severe.

I returned back to the hell like place which was seemingly my home now.

I walked inside and ignored that hideous creature who was walking behind me.I slowly walked upstairs and went to my room.

Finally some peace.

I took a warm shower and changed into new clothes.I crashed on the bed and switched on my phone.

Missed calls from Enrique.

I returned his calls.It wasn't long until he picked up.

"Lucia?How are you and-and Mr.Vernon told me that you met an accident what-" Before he could say anything else,I cut him off.

"Calm down Enrique,I am fine.It was just a minor accident.Nothing severe but Luke told you?'' I was surprised.

"Yes.When you weren't responding to my calls,I asked him about you.I am sorry." He said.

"Oh..." I trailed off.

"Then have a rest.Take care of yourself." He said sweetly.

''Thank you,-." I said before closing the call.

I laid down and looked outside.I need to get out of here.I cannot kill Luke.I just didn't have it in me.

A knock was placed on the door.I sighed in frustration because I knew who it was.

He walked inside and sat beside me."How are you feeling now?'' He asked.

"Fine." I replied anyways.

"Listen,I am going for a business trip tomorrow.I will come back after 3 days.Can you take care of yourself?'' He asked with worry lacing in his tone.

"I will." I replied.

"Look,return back home before 8,don't go out at night,eat properly,don't stay up late at night,if you face any problems just call me and please be obedient." He explained.

"Okay." I replied anyways,even though I didn't hear a word he said because I was playing with my hands.

"Lucia..." He called out.

"Yes." I raised my head.

"Did you hear what I just said?'' He asked.I nodded.He raised his brow and looked at me in disbelief.

"Yes." I bluffed.

"Take care of yourself and good night." He kissed my forehead before leaving.

I laid down in peace.Finally I can do whatever I want.

My phone started to buzz again.

General Walker.

"General!" I spoke after opening the call.

"Lucia.I am sorry."He said and took a deep breath before continuing,"I have always seen you as my own daughter and this is as much as heartbreaking for me as much as it will be to you." He said.I was worried and confused.

"General?'' I asked in fear.

''Private First Class Lucia Browning,you have been demoted to Private Second Class due to your selfish attempt of saving Luke Vernon." He said.

"What!" I was heartbroken upon hearing the news and I was more angry on Luke Vernon.I don't know what the hell is he doing but his black spell was destroying my entire life.

I threw the phone on the ground.

I can't go back anytime soon.I can't believe that I was demoted.

I deserve this.I was selfish.Why couldn't I simply let Luke die?

The next morning arrived.

It was very hot and dry.I walked downstairs and saw a few bodyguards carrying a luggage.

Luke was downstairs too.He was instructing the maids and bodyguards something.

Before leaving,he rushed upstairs and spotted me,"Good morning."He said and smiled at me.

"Good morning." I replied.

"Have your breakfast.It's prepared." He said.I nodded.

"I am leaving,okay? Take care of yourself and respond whenever I call you." He said.

"Okay." I replied as I walked downstairs and he walked beside me.

"Goodbye." He said before leaving.

''Bye." I replied to him and sat downstairs for breakfast.

Finally he is gone.

I was really excited.
