A Feeling of Emptiness and Unanswered Questions

I thought after Luke goes away,I will have some happy times myself.
I enjoyed the first day to myself, watching movies and playing games.
On the second day,I decided to meet up with the others.I called Enrique but he was busy due to some works and it is completely understandable.
I walked outside and went to the cafe to meet Alina and Armen.
I entered the cafe and the smell of the coffees reached my nostrils.
"Hi,Lucia! How are you?" Alina,who was on her duty, spotted me and walked towards me.
"I am good.When are you free?" I asked her.
"My shift is over at 3 and Armen's is at 4.Anyways espresso as usual?" She asked.
"Yeah sure."
I grabbed my coffee and walked around the streets of Russia.It felt like everyone wanted to kill me here.Well,if they knew that I am an American,they will surely kill me.
Since I have been here, everything's been so twisted and confusing.
First of all,Luke taking care of me and keeping me with him.This is completely absurd.
Then,Luke and Alex had a deal about which I don't know.How did I get caught up in their mess?
Also what does general Walker has to do with all these?How is he connected?
The Russian General is Boris Smirnov.Luke said his father is the Russian General.How is Smirnov Luke's father? As far as I know his biological father is Robert Vernon.
So many unanswered questions.I need to find the answers of all of them,very soon.
I walked around the crowded streets.
It felt like the time stopped.
I went to the cafe at 4 and met them.I chatted with them for a long time until I decided to head home.
It was 6 pm when I reached home.I walked towards the bathroom and took a quick shower.I wore my short nightgown and went downstairs to eat dinner.
I sat on the chair and chewed onto the food.I looked in front of me.How he filled up the emptiness of this table by sitting on that very chair.
Somehow,the same way he filled up the emptiness of my life with his love and care.
It wasn't my fault.I found him when I had just lost Alex.
After I was done eating,I went to my bedroom.I looked at my phone.The urge to dial his number was irresistible but what would he think if I call him?
I pushed aside the thoughts and threw my phone on the bed while I went to brush my teeth.
I ran out of the bathroom as I heard my phone ring.I opened the call.
"Hello?" I asked slowly.
"Lucia? How are you?" The same voice,the same man.It felt like my soulless body was alive once again.
"I am fine." I replied.
"Did you have your dinner?" He asked.
"Yes,I did." I replied.
"Good.Go to sleep now,ok?" He asked softly.For some reason his voice,his care,it made me emotional.
"Okay.Good night." I replied.
"Good night." He said before cutting the call.
Now I can sleep peacefully.I thought to myself and went under the duvet.

I woke up at 6 am which was pretty early for me.I decided to go back to sleep again but I couldn't.
After tossing and turning on the bed for about 20 minutes,I finally gave up and washed my face.
As I was about to open the door,I heard muffled voices."Luke is here already?" I thought to myself.
Curiousity got the best of me and I rushed outside just to see three men standing in front of my gate.
"This is her." A man whispered to the one beside him.
"Excuse me? Who are ..." Before I could finish,a man covered my mouth and dragged me downstairs.I tried to break free but he was way stronger than I was.My night gown slid down a bit off my left shoulder and it was slightly revealing my flawless skin.I broke away from one man but the other two held me.It was three strongly built men against one weak girl.
I tried to scream but my voice was suppressed by them.
"Leave her alone!" A man of Luke came shouted.
"You move away from my path or else you will be dead too." The man said.He pointed a gun to my head.
I bit him hands but it seemed to have no effect on him as he was wearing very thick gloves.
"Leave her alone!" I heard a voice which drew all my attention.
"A gunshot!" In a second,the man who was holding me was lying on the ground,dead.
I fell to the ground.Two other men grabbed me again.
"Luke Vernon,you have failed us miserably! You must pay for your mistakes or else you will regret!" A man said to him.
"No one comes closer,or else she dies!" He added.
Luke laughed and bent his head while walking towards us.
"Don't come closer,I will kill her!" He screamed.
He came in front of me and pulled me to his chest.He kissed my forehead and raised his hand.He pulled me tightly in his warm chest,making me unable to see anything.
What is he doing?
Gunshots again.
"Clean the mess." He said before taking me to my room.
I sat on the bed and he sat beside me.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
I nodded and he pulled up my dress which was all messed up.
"I am sorry,I shouldn't have left you all alone." He said as he put his hand on mine.The guiltless lacing in his voice was rather genuine.
"Do you want to sleep again or have breakfast now?" He asked.
"I want to go back to sleep." I replied.
He smiled at me and placed a kiss on my cheek before walking away.
I dozed off soon.

Later I heard that it was an inside job,again.One of Vasili Makarov's men was working under Luke.
He didn't seem too worried because he is stronger than anyone else I've ever seen.
Who was Vasili Makarov and what does he have to do with Luke.
One more question,who is Kira?
