Some More Truth

Even though the pain inside me was terrible.I was just glad that Luke was safe.I was pretty fine except for my ankle was a bit painful.It was morning.The sun was shining brightly.Everywhere was light except for my dark heart."Is it still painful?" Luke asked.I blinked at him.His state was miserable.

My phone started to buzz.I picked up the call and brought the phone close to my ear."What the hell is wrong with you Lucia?!" General Walker scolded me."What the hell is wrong with you? You sent an unit to kill Luke?!" I shouted at him."He killed Dempsey!" He said."This is my war and my fight.I suggest you stay out of it." I replied angrily."Why did you save him?!" He asked."Because I told you.""I don't care.I am coming for him."He said and I hung up.I was in no mood to hear his nonsense.I realized that Luke was looking at me.He came closer to my bed and touched my cheeks.

"You betrayed your country by saving me." He said."Don't blab.I know what I am doing." I whispered."Why did you save me? Isn't that what you wanted from the beginning? Revenge?" He asked calmly.His solemn mood was rather significant and eloquent.

I didn't have any answer to his question.I realized something.He wasn't the general then who is the other Vernon? Is his father still alive?

Instead of answering his question,I asked,"Who is the Russian general?'' 

"Why do you want to know?'' He asked.

"All this time I thought you were the Russian general but you aren't and you can't be.When the Russian general was busy commanding his unit and attacking us,you were present in front of me,to kill Alex." I sat up.

He didn't have any part in the attack.He came to deal with personal issues.

But what was the personal issue?

"Is your father still alive Luke?'' I asked as my eyes welled up.

"Yes.He is the Russian General,Boris Smirnov." Luke said with a straight face.

Suddenly,everything became more uncomfortable.His presence was haunting me.

Why did I save him?

I saved him because I will kill him.I will get revenge on him for killing Alex.He is not getting away with all this.

That's why he works in the underworld.He was the most powerful man.Even if I didn't come to save him,he would still survive because of the security he has.
