I walked out of the house but it felt like some sort of magnetic energy was pulling me back towards the house again.
It wasn't the house,it was only one man.
I felt terrible with each step.
I walked a bit far away from the house when I received a message from Enrique.
"Free tonight?"
Instead of replying to his text,I called him.
"Enrique." I said as I let out a heavy breath.
"Lucia...Can you meet me?" He asked with his sweet voice.
"Choice Cafeteria?" I asked.
"See you in a bit." He replied and hung up.
I walked towards the cafe and sat down.I spotted Alina.I waved her as she came and sat beside me.She was wearing casual dress.
It was probably her day off.
"Did you know that Veronika was fired by Mr.Vernon?" She asked excitedly.
"No,what?!" I was surprised.
"Yes,for being rude with you.She was injected with drugs and beaten a bit.After that she was sold to a brothel." She said.
"Oh..." I trailed off.Tortures like this was worse than death.How cruel can a person be?
Enrique entered the café.I waved at him.He sat in front of me.
"How are you?" He asked me.
"I am great." I replied.
"Alina meet Enrique and Enrique meet Alina." I introduced them to each other.
We chatted for a bit when I realized that the sky was getting very dark.
"A storm must be coming." I said.
"Ah,the weather is terrible but yet so romantic." Alina said as she placed her hand below her chin.
Within less than a second, a huge storm hit the city.It felt like a tornado.
"Where's Armen?" I asked.
"He told me that he was coming.No wonder where he is." Alina replied sadly.After a few moments, Armen rushed inside the café,wet and drenched.
"Oh god!" Alina ran and brought a towel as Armen sat beside Enrique.
Alina dried Armen's hair.They looked like a cute couple.
"Aw.That's cute." I said.Alina blushed hard and looked down.
When my phone buzzed, everyone looked at me.
I looked at my phone,it was Luke.
"Hello?" I said softly.
"Lucia...are you okay" He asked.The softness and concern in his voice melted me completely.
"Yes,yes.I am fine.I will return when the storm calms down." I said.
"Do you want me to send a driver?" He asked.
"Yeah sure." I replied.
"Take care and don't get wet in the rain,okay?"
"Fine." I replied and hung up.
Alina sat beside me and we had some coffee and chatted for an hour.
The rain was still heavy as hell.
That's when I received another phone call.
General Walker.
"General." I said.
"Lucia! Where are you?" He asked.
"What do you mean where am I? I am in Russia!" I replied.
"A few men came to rescue you.They are working as undercover and don't worry,they will end Luke Vernon too.Your revenge will be taken.I suggest you stay out of the house." He said happily.
"What!" I whispered as my heartbeat stopped for a second.
"What happened?" Enrique asked me.
"No,no!" I screamed and rushed out of the café.I ran as fast as I could.The heavy rain was pushing my thin and weak body but I won't stop.
Luke's life was on the line.
I bumped into a lot of people while running.Tears streamed down my face.I felt my body getting weaker.
I ran to cross the road when a car hit me.It wasn't fast, thankfully.My face was bloody but I didn't stop running.
The pain in my body increased as I screamed while running.My ankle twisted and I fell to the ground as my heels broke.I threw away the heels and ran with bare foot.
When I reached the house,my heart was filled with hope.I ran with my injured ankle and bloody body as I burst open the door.
"Luke!" I screamed as I ran to him.
He was sitting on the sofa in a perfect state.
When he saw me he dropped everything and ran to me before I hit the cold floor.
"Lucia!" He screamed.
"Luke, they-there's someone, coming to kill you." I took heavy breaths.
"Walker sent them to kill you.Luke...he-it is an ins-inside job.They-they are undercover.Hide, please." I said before closing my eyes.
"Lucia,lucia! No!" That's all I heard before losing my consciousness.

I woke up with a terrible pain in my ankle.I slowly opened my eyes."Ah!" I groaned in pain.
"Lucia." Luke placed his warm hand over my head.
His face was pale and I could clearly see the pain in his eyes.
"Are you fine?" I whispered to him.
"I am.It's all fine now.They're gone." He said with a smile.I smiled back at him before closing my eyes again.
"You're fine now." He whispered before placing a kiss on my forehead.
I woke up again in the middle of the night.I saw Luke was sitting on a chair beside my bed.His hands were folded and placed on the bed.His head rested above them.
I don't know why I saved him but this wasn't the time to think about it.I brushed away all the thoughts from my mind.
I touched his soft hair when he woke up.His bloodshot eyes showed pain and genuine concern.
Even in this dark room,he looked extraordinary.
"I am sorry.I didn't mean to wake you." I whispered slowly.
"It's fine." He replied as he sat straight.He stroke my head with his fingers.
I was moved to tears of happiness when I saw that he was perfectly fine.I smiled at him.
He didn't say anything either,just wiped my tears and kissed my hands.
"You can go home and sleep.I promise I will be fine." I said.He looked very tired and exhausted.
He rejected my request and touched my lips with his thumb.
I closed my eyes.
At this point,I really wished he wasn't my enemy.He didn't kill my fiancé.
But if he didn't kill my fiancé,would I've ever encountered him?
Maybe in a different way,or in a different world.
