"Miss Derik, here's the test result" the doctor said handing the rest result to Eva.
Eva hesitated before before stretching her hands to take it. Her eyes dimmed after the the doctor left.
Slightly she straightened the paper, her eyes narrowing at the words written on it. After going back and forth on the words written on the paper, she bit the insides of her cheeks, her eyes blazing with an unknown light.
Walking home, she sighted her mom seated on a cushion in the sitting room. Frustrated, she walked towards her, took off her shoes and flung it aside.
"You look...perturbed" her mom commented.
