Nothing to him

*Cali POV* I gasp, my heart pounding as he explores my mouth. He whisks me off my feet while I hold on to his neck, pulling him down, refusing for our lips to part. This feels so good. He sits on the bed with me on his lap and intensifies the kiss. My hips instinctively gyrates over his groan, the friction on my sensitive button sending electric waves throughout my body. I want more, much more than this but he breaks off the kiss and rests his forehead against mine. “Cali,” he murmurs my name, his deep husky voice making my already racing heart flutter. He curses under his breath before I hear a knock next door and her honeyed voice fill the air. “Leroy! Babe!” His mate is here. He sensed her, that’s why he stopped. Even if I was stupid enough to give myself to him, she will always come first. It’s not his fault but it’s still hurts like hell. I get off him and motion with my head for him to go. The bulge on his speedo makes me hurt even more. “You need to cover yourself,” I manage to say before he touched the door knob. He follows my gaze to his groan and sighs before wrapping his towel around his waist. He has just opened the door when I inform him of my decision. “I am moving to the Gamma section.” “Not happening.” He does not even look at me as he dismisses me, but I can’t do this to myself. He is at the corridor greeting his mate when I come out. “Cali?” She sounds surprised to see me and glances at Leroy before looking at me again. “Hi Phoebe. You are an Alpha’s daughter, right?” “Yeees?” “Could you let me stay in your Beta section?” “Not happening,” Leroy responds before Phoebe could. She looks from Leroy to me again before asking. “What’s going on?” “Our Beta section is full and he won’t let me stay with the Gamma’s which is totally fine with me,” I explain. “Still not happening,”Leroy says firmly this time. I ignore him and focus all my attention at his confused mate. “Do you have a spare room in your pack house?” “Yes, but you can’t really stay there without your Alpha’s blessing.” Great! Just great! I don’t see my Alpha ever giving me that blessing. “This floor is better than any floor here. Don’t you like it?” Phoebe asks. She already has a wolf. Can’t she tell what her mate is up to? Can’t she pick up my scent on him? He planted a kiss on her lips when he greeted, did she not sense me all over him? Wolf are supposed to sense these things. Is she just acting dumb? Why would she do that? “It’s not the floor,” I say with a straight face while Leroy shots me a deadly stare. “Oh?” “I don’t want your mate near me,” I finally spell it out and her response leaves me speechless. “Afraid of carrying his pup?” She asks so nonchalantly and even rests her head on his shoulders. “You know?” She nods while Leroy shrugs his shoulders. What the hell is this? He did say his mate strangely understands when we were dancing at prom but this can’t be normal. I was jealous that he sensed her while we were kissing and I am not even his mate. “Sky won’t touch you. He will never risk losing me,” she responds confidently and earns herself a kiss from Leroy. I am for a second starting to doubt that I have just had a heated make out with Leroy. “Fine. I will just have to solve this my way,” I vent while leaving them standing in the corridor and head to the ground floor. If Leroy won’t let me move to the Gamma section, then I will swap with another Beta. I even know who. I am looking around when I come across the person I was looking for. She says something to Molly as I approach and they giggle. Witches! “Hello.” “Oh, wow. You are actually greeting me,” Rose sneers. I have not greeted and hardly spoke to her since her mother sold me. “I need a favour,” I get strait to the point. She lifts her eyebrow with a cheeky smile on her face. “I need us to swap rooms. You can move to mine in the Alpha’s floor and I move to yours.” She loves Leroy and status. This should be a walk in the park. I am dumbfounded when she declines without a second thought. “No, thanks.” “Why not?” She laughs. “You are there because you are loose with no morals. Poor Leroy has to watch you for his best friend’s sake.” “What?” “Do yourself a favour and don’t go embarrassing yourself trying to swap because everyone knows why you are there and no one disobeys the Alpha.” “I am no loose!” “Are you calling Leroy a liar?” “He..he said that?” She rolls her eyes as if I am the dumbest person she has ever met before leaving me fuming. I storm back to the elevators. Forcing me to stay in his floor is one thing but spreading rumours about my morals is another. I will give him a piece of my mind. I budge into his room without knocking and my heart completely shutters. On the couch, Phoebe and Leroy are completely naked and entangled in each other’s arms. I feel like I have been punched hard on my tummy. Like walls are closing in on me, making it hard to breathe. “Cali?” Phoebe sees me first. That on its own hurts. I thought he could sense me. Tears start to well up in my eyes. I am nothing to him. “Sorry to disturb. I will come back later.” Closing the door behind me, I don’t even wait for the elevator. Down the stairs and out of the pack house, I run as fast as my feet can carry me. Until the images of Leroy making out with his mate start fading away and my feet no longer capable of going forward. Deep in the woods, with just the sound of nature around me I lean against the wall of what looks like a deserted haunted pack house to support myself. That’s when I pick up his scent. A hybrid of something delicious and deadly. Did I just say delicious? What’s wrong with me! Alloy, Alpha of Lily town pack. His mother is the legendary inferno wolf, father the indestructible steel. A Lycan used its blood to save him during birth, making him a hybrid of everything indestructible. Hot but not Leroy hot. I could do with that hot right now. “I know you are there,”I call out, strangely not shaken. I am in the middle of the forest with a hybrid, I should be shaken. He emerges from behind a bush. Tight blue jeans, topless with his white shirt around his neck. He must know how good he looks. Show off. He stands a few feet away from me and studies me with his lips parted. He looks really sexy like that. I can see his eyes dilate and narrow before dilating again. I can even see my reflection in his eyes. Is he just going to stare at me without saying anything? Weird. “Hi,” I finally break the awkward silence. “Hi. I am Alloy of Lily town pack.” His voice is thick and demanding, like a smooth baritone. Leroy’s is husky, alluring and intoxicating. Why am I even comparing them? “Nice to meet you, Your Majesty.” “Please no. Just Alloy. What’s your name?” I give him a weak smile. This is the first time I am meeting him but I know all about him. Him and Leroy are friends. He probably knows my name and everything about me. Not only that, his pack will be joining our full moon rituals. I don’t know what has been discussed about me, how much of a threat they view me. There is no way in hell I am revealing my identity to a dangerous breed in the middle of the forest. That thought is enough to bring me to my senses. I need to get out of here. “It does not matter,” I murmur before taking off. My previously exhausted legs are now pumped up by the adrenaline surge. It is foolish of me to think I can outrun him. I can’t even outrun an Omega wolf, let alone a hybrid Alpha one. I am hoping that he lets me be and goes his own way.
