Hailey was inside a party that night. Although she doesn't want to go to that party, she still needs to attend as the Luna of the Almond Pack. Their divorce paper was still in process because Alpha Cyron refused to sign it so she was still the Luna of their pack.
The event she attended was a birthday party of one of the council of their pack and it's their pack's tradition that the Alpha, the Luna, and the Beta of their pack must attend the party to give moral support not just to the birthday celebrant but also to their pack members.
Not only the Almond Pack members were the guests of the birthday celebrant but also members from other werewolf packs. However, they didn't attend to greet the birthday celebrant but merely to spy on other packs to see if their pack's management was better than others.
And since she was the Luna of their pack, it was her duty to uphold their pack's reputation in front of other werewolf packs. So despite her reluctance to attend because she wanted to avoid seeing Alpha Cyron and Bianca, she had no choice but to attend because of her duty calling.
To ensure that her paths wouldn't cross with Alpha Cyron and Bianca, she immediately headed to the farthest corner of the birthday celebrant's house after greeting him with a happy birthday and giving her a gift as well.
But she was wrong about what she thought earlier. Even though she was in the corner of the house, near the gazebo where she was alone and quietly sipping the wine in the glass she was holding, they suddenly saw each other, the person she had been avoiding meeting.
She didn't know if Alpha Cyron intentionally looked for her or if she just happened to pass by where she was, so they met.
"Hailey! I'm glad that you're here." Before she could object, Alpha Cyron hugged her tightly. "I knew it, Hailey, you can't afford to embarrass me in front of other alphas."
She doesn't want to get close to her ex-husband even a little bit. She didn't like him hugging her so she quickly pushed him away forcefully.
"Don't hug me! Stay away from me," she firmly told her ex-husband. She controlled her voice and anger towards Alpha Cyron so as not to create a scene.
Alpha Cyron felt insulted when she heard what she said. His face suddenly darkened and his teeth gritted before he approached her again and firmly grabbed one of her arms.
"Why, Hailey? Are you disgusted with my touch now? Have you forgotten how crazy you were just to make me kiss you? You almost begged in front of me just to be intimate with you and now you're acting like this?" Alpha Cyron sneered before his malicious gaze swept over her entire body.
She wanted so badly to slap the face of her ex-wife but she restrained herself. Instead, she clenched her fists tightly and silently prayed that her fists wouldn't fly to the face of the man in front of her.
"You're really shameless, Alpha Cyron. I admit that I did what you said but I already regretted doing those things. And if I had known that you had already impregnated your beta before we even got married, I would never have gone through with marrying you," she restrained her angry response.
Now he felt a mix of pity for herself and embarrassment because of what she did when they were still a couple. Alpha Cyron was right in saying that she almost begged him just to make something intimate happen between the two of them back then. It's because she thought that he was perfect and she really wanted to have children.
But fortunately, nothing happened between them except for kisses and hugs. The moon goddess Amaya loves her, so she doesn't allow the alpha to tarnish her purity. Because her body, heart, and soul are not meant for Alpha Cyron.
"And for whom is your body, Hailey? For the stranger you had a one-night stand with? Was it worth that the thing you tried to offer to Alpha Cyron several times ended up with that man?" Hailey heard her wolf talking to her.
The man she had a one-night stand with immediately crossed her mind. At first, she regretted giving herself to a stranger. But when she remembered how delicious the kisses and touches of that man were, her regret disappeared and she felt a strange hotness in her body that she had never felt with Alpha Cyron.
It's just a pity that she didn't see the whole face of that person. She only saw a half of his face when she woke up but she already thought that he was handsome. Her mind was confused at that time, so she didn't waste any time looking at the whole face of the man she gave herself to.
"Hey! Hailey? Are you okay? You suddenly become a mute. I've been talking to you but it seems like you're not listening."
Her mind suddenly returned to the present when she heard the snap of Alpha Cyron's fingers in front of her face. She didn't realize she had become transfixed because of thinking about that stranger.
She knew that she would never meet that stranger again. And if they did meet, they certainly wouldn't recognize each other because, besides the darkness inside the bar and inside his car, they were both likely drunk when that happened.
"We have nothing else to talk about, Alpha Cyron. So it's better for you to go and just leave me alone because I prefer to be alone rather than being with you and talking to you for a long time," she dismissed Alpha Cyron.
To her surprise, Alpha Cyron suddenly hugged her again so tight that she almost couldn't breathe.
"I'm sorry, Hailey. Please, don't continue to divorce with me. I promise you that I will be a good husband and father to our future children. Please, Hailey. Let's have a child. I will follow however many children you want."
Hailey wanted to laugh at their situation now. Before, she almost begged him just to be intimate with her and have a child, while he didn't want her to get pregnant at all. But now, their positions had reversed. He was now almost begging her to have a child with him and she didn't want him anymore.
"How many times do I have to tell you that I have no intention of getting back together with you, Alpha Cyron? Just accept the fact that we're done. I don't want you anymore, and you should just stay with your beta because you already have a child," she firmly replied, then she forcefully tried to loosen his arms in her body which clung to her like steel.
"No, Hailey. I won't let you go until you forgive me. I know you still love me. Your anger is just blinding you, that's why you're saying such things to me." Instead of letting go, Alpha Cyron tightened his embrace even more.
"Let go of me! Get off from me!" She felt like she couldn't breathe anymore under the tight hug of Alpha Cyron. And there was only one way she could think of to escape from his tight hug. To aim for the sensitive part of his body; that was the thing between his thighs.
She gathered her strength and then she strongly hit his ball with her knee. Finally, Alpha Cyron released him and almost fell to his knees from the intense pain while holding onto his injured manhood.
"Alpha Cyron!" Bianca exclaimed. "Why did you do that, Hailey?" she scolded Hailey. She was just nearby watching the two of them while they were talking.
"Damn you, Hailey!" Even though Alpha Cyron could barely breathe from the extreme pain, he still managed to curse her.
"That serves you right, Alpha Cyron. Don't you want to have children? I just granted your wish not to have children again," she replied with a smirk to Alpha Cyron. She didn't feel for him even a bit of pity. Because he didn't pity her when he tried to take her life, so why would she pity him now? "Keep your husband away from me because I might just end his 'future,' so he won't have children again."
Bianca immediately followed what she said without saying a word. She supported Alpha Cyron in standing up and led him away from her, fearing that he might carry out her threat.
She let out a deep sigh when the two were no longer in front of her. Secretly, she wished that Alpha Cyron would not disturb her again after what she had done to him earlier.
"Take care of yourself, Hailey. Take care of him because he will play a big role in the world once he is born."
Hailey's attempt to drink the wine was interrupted when she was suddenly approached by an old woman passing by.
"What did you say? Do you know me? And what are you talking about?" she asked the old woman in succession. But the old woman didn't respond to her. She just glanced at her and smiled meaningfully before continuing to walk. She was left confused and puzzled by what the old woman said to her.
