ACHILLE I was in my study working when Jesse came running in, all excited. I love how passionate he gets about his work! "It's happening! She's changing" he practically squealed at me. "What? The one you were telling me about?" "Yes, yes! Eternal! You could try to remember their names, there is only a few left now," he rolled his eyes at me. "Want to come see?" I followed him to a room not far from my study. "We put her down here so there's no way she can accidentally be caught in the sun." "Very wise," I laughed. And there she was. Fast asleep on a bed, covered in wires attached to monitors, constantly beeping and taking readings. "Was it really necessary to knock her out? She will not be able to fully experience the change," I was a little sad for her, its such a right of passage. "Yes, this way we can completely monitor everything. And actually, I may have an answer, but not yet, I want to be sure!!" And off he went, checking monitors, comparing notes. I asked him to come get me before he even thought of waking her, I wanted to be there, to explain and help. That night was when everything started to go wrong. When my door flew open, I was expecting it to be Jesse, no one else barges in like that. Nope, it was the receptionist, I do not even remember her stupid name. "Sir, there's someone here asking for Eternal and he says he wont leave until he sees her" "What did you tell him," I snapped. "That she was no longer here, he called me a liar and threatened me," she wined pathetically "Do I have to do everything myself?" I stalked to reception, expected to be dealing with a worried brother or father. As I walked through the door to reception, I froze. "Achille!" Said a shocked voice. "Demitri."
