Hovictus: The Rise of the Archeans

Chapter 14 - New Plan

In the Empire of Vamprielle, the Vampire Lady and Megan are planning how to find the prince of the Arcanea. They know he will study in the Ezklisea Academy to spy on them.

"Mom, I don't think that Professor is the one to blame, about the issues leaking the plan against the Archeans," Megan said.

"Do you think we were hard on her?" the Vampire Lady asked.

"She deserved to be out of the Academy because she's too careless. What I meant was, there is someone spying on us and suspecting that Professor because of the activities she gave. It was so obvious that they are targeting the Archeans," Megan said.

Megan is thinking that the prince was the one who ruined their plans. It's impossible that they got a vampire to spy on them, unless their family made them offended.

"Who could it be then?" the Vampire Lady asked again. "It's kinda weird that he or she was able to go on that spot to take a video as a proof."

"Why do I feel that is related to the prince of Arcanea?" Megan said.

"That's possible. We are still finding out where he is and what kind of power he has. Do you have someone in your mind who can do this?" the Vampire Lady said.

The Vampire Lady smiled. She has a plan for the Archeans student but she won't tell it until the graduation day of the batch.

While the Vampire Lady is plotting a scene against Archean students, the Archean students on their vacation are being taught how to fight in case of emergency. Another excellent professor of Arcanea is helping the students since they know that there is a high possibility that the vampires will do bad tricks against them.

"Professor Jann is going to teach us a new way of fighting. Let's go to the training room," Krieldyr said.

"I thought there is something that Professor Jann would tell us?" Felxir asked.

Krieldyr has now been reminded that Professor Jann will tell them something about what he discovered in the Central Domain. But maybe, they have the same result of what they had discovered. At least, they can confirm the information they have gathered were all the same.

"Yes, as far as I remember too. I hope we have the same discoveries so that it will not be a confusion to us," Krieldyr said.

"Let's hope for the best," Felxir said.

They went to the training room to meet Professor Jann. A new way of fighting against a vampire has been developed by him. Since he is teaching many vampires, he learned some of their weaknesses.

Krieldyr raised his eyebrow when he saw Eura go on their way. Felxir tried to ignore Eura since he wants her to miss him. They thought they would not see Eura on the training, but it is the other way around.

"What are you doing here?" Krieldyr asked Eura.

"I just want to know your whereabouts. That's it. I feel so lonely in my room so I went out," Eira explained. "Where are you two going?"

They let Eura go with them since the training will be taught to them too once they have finished their training.

"Are you okay, Felxir? Why are you avoiding me? Did I make something to offend you?" Eura asked.

"I am not in the mood. I want to focus on training. If you feel bored in your room, then you go watch us to help you be informed also on the new way of fighting the vampires," Felxir said.

Eura pouted, like she's not okay with what Felxid had said earlier. She still insisted on joining them and watching the new way of defending themselves against the vampires.

Professor Jann greeted them nicely. Even him was shocked to see Eura. What he knew about Eura is that the young woman is fragile and does not want to fight and hurt others.

"Well, can we discuss our discoveries about the Central Domain first before we start the training?" Krieldyr asked.

"Oh sure! I almost forgot about that. I was so busy spying on them," Professor Jann said.

They found out that they have the same discoveries. Some information was improved. The Dark Realm is the most dangerous place in the Hovictus. No one can go outside the Hovictus because all Domains, Arcanea and Vamprielle are surrounded by the Dark Realms.

"I am curious about that place. Do monsters really exist?" Eura asked.

"It's not impossible though. We, Archeans, do even exist, as well as the vampires," Felxir said.

"Although we know that this place really exists, we are still not sure about what's really inside of it. No one had an experience going there and was able to come back. What we need to do is avoid that place as much as possible," Professor Jann said.

There was a brief silence. Eura is now confused since she does not understand some of the conversations of the three men. At least, she knows that escaping from Hovictus is a big mistake and will instantly kill them.

“First, I’d like to tackle the information from the Dark Realm gathered by one of the other professors. She’s a vampire so it’s not really that reliable but there’s no point in ignoring the information since it seems very legit. That professor despises their leader so I think it might be helpful to us,” Professor Jann said.

“So the professors in the Academy are doing that kind of research?” Krieldyr asked.

“No, we’re not doing that. Aside from it being very dangerous, generations after generations of humans tried doing that and still got nothing. So it’s not possible for a mere Academy to do something like that. The information comes from the humans from the outer edge of the Domain of Fire. They said that they heard howling coming from it and some were fighting from whatever the howls came from,” Professor Jann replied.

“So there’s really a possibility that evil monsters inhabit that area,” Felxir said.

“And according to the witness, they heard that the fight between the creatures from the Dark Realm consists of just slams and ground shakes,” Professor Jann said.

Krieldyr and Felxir look at each other.

“Yes, I also deduced it. That sounds like how the vampires normally fight. So there’s no denying that their race might be involved,” Professor Jann said.

"I didn't know you would go this far just to get that kind of information. You are risking your life to know the Vampire Professor's findings about the Dark Realm," Krieldyr said.

"Well, they didn't know I was there when they talked about it. Just like you, I can hide myself. Remember?" Professor Jann assured. "Trust me, I won't let myself be involved in a risky situation just like what you are thinking. You should be the one who needs to take care of yourself since they are really obsessed at looking for you."

"I am always doing my task with extra care so that no one can find me," Krieldyr said. "What made me confused is that they already know something about the Dark Realm. I thought no one could survive in that place?"

"That's why we should not trust their discoveries until we see it ourselves. But let us admit that some of their findings make sense," Professor Jann said.
