Chapter 9 shopping trip

The next day I woke up, but as soon as I looked around the room I knew it wasn’t all a dream. I was told that I was going to meet the king, but I wasn’t told when that would be happening and it made me wonder what he was like. I got up from the bed wearing the same clothes that I was given yesterday by Aquilla because I didn’t have anything else to wear. Even though these clothes were clean, I had slept in them all night and they would probably smell a bit because I can’t remember the last time I had a shower, so I decided to hand wash them. I took them to the bathroom and washed them by hand, then opened the window and hung the clothes up to dry. I knew they would still be a little damp when I got out of the shower, but at least I would have something to wear, so I didn’t mind. I walked back into the bathroom and noticed that the shower was actually a huge walk in shower, but when I walked inside there was no shower head. There were just two buttons, one saying hot and the other saying cold, so I pressed them both and waited to see what would happen. Suddenly a stream of water came down on me, making me jump at first with how cold it was, but then it warmed up. I stood under the water for the longest time, enjoying how warm it was. When I was living at the pack house Alpha Billy and Luna Ally would turn the hot water off and make me take cold showers, which only made me sick, but they never cared because it was what they wanted and even then I wouldn’t be able to have a day off. It had been years since I had washed in water this warm and I was enjoying it, but I also knew that it would end up turning cold, so I quickly finished taking my shower and then pushed the buttons again, turning the water off. I walked out and grabbed a towel, wrapping it around my hair and then another to dry myself with before wrapping it around my body. I walked back into the bedroom and over to the window, but the windows were closed and my clothes were gone.

“What the hell? I knew this was too good to….” I started to say, but when I turned around I saw that another set of clothes had been laid out on the bed for me. I put on the bra, underwear, jeans and pink top, but the whole time I felt bad for thinking what I did. I looked to the side and saw that whoever had left the clothes for me had also left a pair of socks and shoes, so I put them on as well, wanting to keep my feet warm. I didn’t know if I was allowed to leave the room or not, but I was still nervous about being here and the people here because the only one I knew here was Aquilla and I had no way of knowing where she would be. I decided to play it safe and stay in the room, so I sat down on the bed and grabbed the remote, which had been left on the nightstand. I turned on the TV, but I turned the volume down so that no one would hear it. I was watching a show called the Big Bang Theory when suddenly there was a knock at the door, startling me. I looked at the door, hoping that whoever it was would stop knocking and leave, but not a chance as they started knocking again. I felt my heart jump into my stomach with how scared I was, but I slowly managed to get off the bed and walk towards the door. Whoever was on the other side of the door stopped knocking for a second and then did it a few more times, making me realise that they weren’t going to go away. I turned the knob and opened the door to see two ladies standing there. One had pink hair like me, but her eyes were a golden colour with a little blue around them, she was about 5.8 and muscular like she worked out a lot. It made me wonder if there was a gym here or something and if so did they train here as Aquilla was quite fit too. The other lady had white and grey hair, with pink and golden eyes, she was also around 5.8 and looked like she worked out as well.

“HEY, WAIT FOR ME! I WANT TO MEET HER TOO!!!” A woman shouted from down the hallway and then she skidded to a stop in front of the door. The two other women rolled their eyes and shook their heads in a playful way, as I looked at the newcomer. She had the reddest hair that I had ever seen and her eyes were a reddish colour with blue around them, she looked to be the same height as the other two ladies and also looked like she worked out.

“Hi, my name is Rachel, this one with the pink hair is Polly and this one is Nicole. We’re sisters and our brother wants us to take you shopping.” The redhead I now knew as Rachel said, smiling from ear to ear. I looked at all three girls and was immediately wary of them. Were they joking? Were they just going to take me out of here and beat me? Was I ever going to get over this fear? I thought, taking a few steps back. I watched through panic filled eyes as Polly looked at her sisters and then back at me, but I couldn’t tell what the emotion was in her eyes. Was it sadness?

“I’m so sorry, we didn’t mean to scare you. Are you okay?” Polly asked, looking genuinely concerned, but just as I was about to try and answer I heard another voice, a man's voice and he was really close.

“Girls, give her some air. I’m sorry, I thought that I would take her shopping, but if you all want to come as well then you are more than welcome.” He said and the three girls moved out of the way, letting in a very tall and muscular man into the room. He was so tall that I had to look up at him and I would have said he was about 6.5, if not taller. He had sandy blonde hair with a few highlights in it and he had it tied back into a man bun. I could see some of his tattoos and although I couldn’t tell what they were as I could only see a little peeking out his shirt on the right side of his neck, it looked like some sort of tribal tattoo. I looked at his face and he had a mustache and nicely trimmed beard, but his eyes caught my attention the most. His eyes, starting from his pupils, were a mixture of green and blue, but as it got further from the centre it turned to gold and silver. This guy was hot and I quickly found myself wondering what he looked like without the shirt he was wearing. I felt my cheeks heat up and had to quickly look away so that he wouldn’t see me blushing.

“Hello, my name is Adonis Blake and I know that Aquilla has already told you that we are mates, which makes you my queen. I am sorry I’m late, I had business to take care of, but I’m back now and I won’t be leaving you again. Come on, we are going shopping, I know you need new clothes.” The godlike man I now knew as Adonis said, smiling at me, but all I could was look at him. He held his hand out for me to take and I wanted to take it, but I was just way too nervous.

“Liv, it’s okay. I promise that I will never hurt you.” Adonis said and I don’t know why but I felt safe with him. I took a deep breath and placed my hand in his, which instantly made him smile.

“Are you ready to go?” He asked and I nodded, but I still just stood rooted to the spot.

“I am, but I don’t have any money to buy anything.” I replied and he smiled at me.

“You don’t have to worry about that, leave that up to me, okay.” He said and all I could do was nod.

“Come on, girls, let's leave and go shopping.” Adonis said and the three girls nodded and smiled at him. Adonis, myself and his three sisters walked to the elevator, then went to the bottom floor before walking out of the castle. As soon as we stepped outside I had to blink a few times because of the sunlight and not being used to it, but I still enjoyed the feel of the warmth on my face. We walked down the steps and got into a huge green car that I think is called a Hummer, but it was so big and I was still injured, so Adonis helped me up and into it, then fastened my seatbelt for me before closing the door and getting in the drivers side. He started the car and we drove off, but the whole way there I noticed that there was another car following us and it made me feel a little uneasy about who it could be.

“It's just the guards, there is no need for you to worry, they are here to help protect us all. I promise that no harm will come to you.” Adonis whispered to me and I nodded, feeling a lot better about it, but still a little nervous. I still had no idea what they expected of me or why they even wanted me here, but until I found out their motives I would be on guard.
