Chapter 11 Adonis’ shifting

Liv’s P.O.V

When Adonis came out of the shower I really did try my hardest not to look at him, but with how the steam was coming off his chest and with how that tattoo looked really good on his arms and chest, it was impossible not to look. I just wanted to run my hands through his hair and down his chest to his abs, my Goddess that ten pack. I wanted to walk over and just….nevermind. My mind was in the gutter, but then he snapped me out of it by teasing me and asking if I liked what I saw. I was so embarrassed that I ran into the bathroom blushing the whole time, but when I came back out he was gone. I felt like I had done something wrong by doing that, but I decided that if I wasn’t going to be here for long then I would enjoy it, so I carried on getting ready and when I came back out he was there again. He was taken aback when he saw me and when he asked where I wanted to go I felt so embarrassed, but after I explained he immediately understood and made a quick phone call. He made a reservation at this Italian restaurant called Del Posto, which I had never heard of, but hell I was so hungry I would try anything.

Adonis’s P.O.V

When I came out of the bathroom I caught her checking me out and it turned me on when I saw her blushing, but then she ran into the bathroom, which made me chuckle. I knew this was a lot for her, but I needed her to know there was more to life out there and people will love her for who she is. When I left the bedroom I ran into one of the girls I used to have fun with from time to time. Her name was Cali and she must have thought I was coming to see her, but instead I had to let her down easy. I knew that she wanted to be queen, but if she was willing to give herself up to me, then what else would she be willing to do? She could easily give herself up to anyone or anything, which from what I heard she has been around the block a time or two. I know I’m not perfect, but I don’t just plunge myself into any woman, plus I know that Indigon doesn’t like her. Besides I had found my mate and she was perfect for me in every way, no one would ever compare to Liv. When I got back to the bedroom Liv didn’t ask where I was and all I could do was stare at her. She was so beautiful, she was mine and I was hers.

Cali’s P.O.V

I was heading to see the king, to see if he needed me for anything before I turned in for the day. I was really hoping that he would have me tonight, so I could be with him, but then I saw him all dressed up and I wondered if he was coming to see me instead. I had a huge smile on my face when he walked up to me and I had to lift up onto my tiptoes to wrap my arms around him, but when I leaned in to kiss him he moved out of the way and I was so confused. He had never moved out of the way before, so why now?

“Cali, we’re not mates and whatever it was between us, it's over. I found my mate and she is waiting for me. I’m sorry.” Adonis said and I knew that he was trying to let me down gently, which showed just how much he really cared for me. Although I was smiling I was pissed off.

“Oh really, that's wonderful news, is it the new girl that was brought here?” I asked, pretending to be happy for him and he nodded. He walked back to his room after that and I was so pissed off. How dare he deny me, I wanted to be queen and he took that filthy werewolf mutt over me. f**k I even stopped sleeping around and only slept with him for a week, but that still hasn’t made him happy. That son of a b***h, I thought as I stormed off to my room. I sat down by my computer, trying to think of what I could do to get him and my crown back. I knew she was a werewolf, but I needed to know this b***h’s full name before I could do anything, then once I knew that I could find out what pack she came from. Maybe I could talk to her old Alpha and convince him to take her back, but I need to make sure this plan will be fully set in place because if Adonis finds out I had anything to do with this he would surely kill me and then what chance would I have to become queen? Once I’m queen a lot of things are going to change, starting with the vampires. I will be able to make sure that they can come back into our kingdom. Adonis banished them a long long time ago after his first mate got bitten and turned into a vampire. He rejected her after that and she left with the one that turned her.

Flashback….

Adonis had searched everywhere for his mate, but hadn’t found her and instead decided that he would take a chosen mate. I thought he was going to pick me, as I had made it no secret about how I felt for him, but instead he chose Clair. She had long red hair with the prettiest green eyes and she was around 5.6 and she was so sweet. Adonis and Clair ruled side by side and she did really well as queen, but there was just one problem, I wanted to be queen, so I decided to do what needed to be done. I had a vampire friend called Ethan, who had made no secret to me about being attracted to Clair and wanting her, so I made a plan. Clair would often go for a walk in her human form in the woods and I told Ethan exactly where she was because he wanted her and I wanted Adonis. We agreed on the plan and it turned out that Clair and Ethan were true mates. Clair let Ethan bite her and she wanted it, but it also helped that she wasn’t a true dragon, she was partially human and her dragon never formed. Clair would often tell me that she felt like something was missing in her life and I guess that when she met Ethan she filled that part of her. Ethan and Clair went right to Adonis and told him what had happened, how they had found each other and had discovered that they were true mates. I stood outside the room while they talked and I could hear how angry Adonis was at first, but then he seemed to calm down, understand and accept what was going on. Clair rejected Adonis and she then left with nothing but Ethan.

Flashback Ends….

No one has seen her since and it has been over a thousand years since that happened. Hell none of us are even sure if she is still alive, but that's another reason I want to make her Alpha take her back because I want to become queen and lift the banish, finding out if she is still alive. Maybe if this Liv girl isn’t gone yet I could help her with something and either get information on her or send her away without Adonis finding out. I smirked as I got up from my chair and went to the door, but when I opened it I saw Adonis and Liv leaving.

“Well s**t, I’m going to need to wait for her to be alone, that’s when I will be able to get to know her and see if I can get any information. That crown is rightfully mine and I won’t stop until it's off that b***h’s head and on mine.” I said, slamming the door again.

Alpha Billy’s P.O.V

I have looked for that little b***h all day and night, but haven’t been able to find her anywhere. I wanted to have some fun with her without my mate for once and I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I was going to get Liv and take her to one of my rooms, then torture her a little before I had my way with her. Her old Alpha, Ozzy, said that she wasn’t pure, so if she’s not then I was sure as hell going to have some fun. I am going to f**k that girl in places she’s never been f****d before, I thought to myself, but when I walked into her room she was gone.

“Where the f**k has that b***h gone now?” I said to myself and then I saw that the window was open. What the hell did she do now? Do I need to send my trappers out to find her? I thought and began mind-linking them to go out and bring her back. After a few hours they came back, but without Liv.

“Well, where is she?” I asked, getting frustrated.

“We were unable to find her.” My head trapper replied, bowing his head, but all this did was piss me off.

“WHAT?! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!! WHERE DID SHE GO?!! I BOUGHT THAT GIRL AND SHE HAS RAN FROM ME AND NOW SHE IS f*****g HIDING!!! ALRIGHT, FINE!!” I shouted, storming off to my office. I’ll need to make a few phone calls and find out where she is and then I’ll go and get her. I don’t care where she is hiding, I will find that girl and she will regret the day she ran from me. I will beat her so bad that she won’t be able to get up for days. I slammed the door to my office closed, knocking a few photos off the wall. I looked back at them and was too angry to pick them up, so I’ll make her pick them up once I get her back here. I’ll make that b***h clean this whole house from top to bottom and she won’t be able to sleep until I tell her she can.
