Having Brandon put me on probation and postpone the title ceremony really opened my eyes. Yeah at first I was pissed off that he did that but after I left his room I started to think about what he said. In the last 4 years, I have become someone I don't even know. Brandon was right I was usually the one who tried to keep him and Josiah out of trouble but now I'm causing trouble. My parents raised me better than this and if they were to find out how I have been behaving I know my mother would beat some sense into me. My father would never speak to me again. Coming from an Omega family and being named as the previous Gamma's successor made my father extremely proud of me and I didn't want to disappoint him. I want to be a role model for my younger siblings and the way I have been acting I'm not going to be a good one for them unless I change. I need to talk to Josiah because his attitude needs to change as well. I left my room in the packhouse and headed to my parent's house. I opened the door and saw my mom in the kitchen and my little brothers were playing a video game. I walked into the kitchen and hugged my mom and asked what she was making. She told me she was making brownies and asked why I was here. I said just because I wanted to come see y'all. I walked into the living room and sat on the chair and watched my little brothers play Halo. Jordan my youngest brother turned and asked what I wanted. I shook my head and took the controller from him and started to play. This caused him to jump on me and we began wrestling. Riley my other brother jumped on my back and tried to get me to give up. After we were done my dad and little sister Raelan came in. My little sister ran to me and I picked her up.
"Raelan, where have you and dad been? You smell like dirt and lake water." I asked as she hugged my neck.
"Daddy took me fishing today." She said as she pulled herself back to look at me.
"Did you catch any big fish?"
"No. I caught 10 little ones" She said as she showed me how big with her hands.
"It's ok. You'll catch a big one next time." I said as I put her down.
"Son, what do we owe the pleasure for this visit?" My dad asked as he took his boots off.
"I just wanted to spend some time with y'all. I missed these little brats."
"Oh. Well, then. When's the big day?" He asked while sitting back in his chair.
"I'm not sure yet dad. Brandon has some stuff to tend to right now and he had to push it back. I promise I will let you and mom know as soon as I find out."
I stayed at my parent's for dinner and tucked my little sister in bed before heading back to the packhouse. On my way back I ran into Josiah.
"Hey man. I've got 4 chicks lined up for us tonight." He said as he slapped my shoulder.
"Nah. I'm not feeling so hot man. I'm going to call it a night and go to bed."
"What? You are turning down 2 chicks? Are getting scared of p*ssy?"
"Yeah, I a turning down 2 chicks. I don't feel good and I am going to bed. F*ck you, Josiah. No. I am not scared of p*ssy." I said to him as I walked past him.
"You are turning into a b*tch like Brandon." He yelled as I walked inside the packhouse.
I shook my head and kept walking. As I was entering the main hall of the packhouse, I ran into the chick that Georgia works with at the bookstore.
"Oh sh*t. I am so sorry Uh. Uh. I'm sorry I don't remember your name. I wasn't paying attention. You aren't hurt are you?." I said as reached down to help her pick up the tray she dropped.
"It's ok Gamma. My name is Dara. I'm fine. Thank you for helping me pick this up." She said as handed it to her.
As soon as I touched her hand I felt like I was being shocked. What the f*ck was that? She smiled at me and walked off. I tried to get my wolf Jasper to tell me why it felt like I was being shocked when I touched her but the mutt hasn't spoke to me in months. I looked back to see if she was still in my sight but she wasn't. I walked up to my room and sat down on my bed. I got frustrated trying to figure out why that happened and decided to go see what Brandon was up to.
I knocked on his office door and he told me to come in. I sat down in the chair in front of his desk and he asked what was up.
"Man, I just had a weird experience."
"Ok. Care to elaborate?" He said with his brow raised.
"I was coming down the main hall and I ran into that Dara chick that works with Georgia. I helped her pick up the tray I knocked out of her hand when I ran into her and as soon as I gave it back and touched her hand, It felt like I was being shocked. " I explained.
"Hm. Have you tried to ask Jasper?" He asked.
"Jasper hasn't spoke to me in months man. We got into a fight about him wanting me to find our mate and he retreated and hasn't come forward since." I told him.
"Well, I haven't heard of someone shocking before but maybe ask your mom and dad if they have heard of a wolf shocking another wolf." He said.
I got up and told him I was going to go to bed and I would ask them tomorrow. He said good night and I went back to my room.
