When Dara got off work, she wasn't lying when she said she was coming over. I was in the shower when she came into my bathroom and scared the crap out of me. I yelled and asked what she was doing and she said picking out my dress. I sighed and got out of the shower and got dressed. I walked into my room and Dara had half of my closet laid out on my bed. She was going through everything. She laid out 6 dresses and kept looking at them and at me.
"I can't do it this way. I need you to put them on and let me see you in them."
"Seriously? I just got dressed."
"Don't make me put them on you girl. You know I have no problem doing it. I want to see which one would be perfect for this dinner."
"Fine. Give me one and I'll put it on."
She handed me a grey dress and I put it on. She made me twirl and she shook her head. She handed me a red one and made me do the same thing.
"No red is too seductive for this dinner. Try the Blue one and then the black one."
She said no to the blue one and when I walked out of the bathroom after putting the black one on,
"That's the one you are going to wear. It's classy yet sexy. It fits you perfectly where it needs to and it doesn't give too much away. He is going to die when he sees you in this dress."
Well, I don't need the Alpha dying with me in the same room alone with him. Plus this is a get to know each other dinner, not a date.
"Georgia, this dress is gorgeous on you. I think it is perfect for this dinner and his jaw is going to drop when he sees you."
"Ok so what shoes do I wear?"
She went through my closet and found a pair of black suede high heels that had silver studs on them and said these.
"I made those for a costume."
She said they would look fabulous with the dress. I put them on and looked at myself in the mirror and she was right. I loved how they looked with the dress. The black dress was a V-neck it stopped right at my cleavage and it came down and stopped right above the knee. I asked her if I should put my hair up or if I should leave it down and she said to leave it down and add some curls to it. I cringed at that. I hate curling my hair and she knows that. I said well if you want me to add some curls, you had better be coming over to do it because I refuse to touch that devil iron. She burst out laughing,
"I don't know what I am going to do with you Georgia Mist. I will do your hair for and I'll do your makeup as well if you want."
"As long as it's a natural look I'm ok with that."
She nodded.
"Ok, now that we have all that figured out, can I please change and go to bed?"
She laughed and said goodnight to me and I changed my clothes and went to bed.
When I woke up it was 4 a.m. and I had 2 hours until I had to get ready for work. I went ahead and got dressed and fixed myself something to eat. I went and sat on my porch and ate. While I was sitting there I felt like I was being watched and my wolf Skye was saying something or someone was out in the woods. I stood up and growled. I saw a figure coming towards me and I started to back up to my door. When the figure came into the light, I let out the breath I was holding. It was Thea. She apologized for scaring me and I asked why she was out in the woods this early.
" Oh, I like to walk when there isn't anyone around. It's more peaceful that way."
"Ok then. What brings you to my porch?"
"Have you and your friend Dara come up with an idea to talk to Alpha Brandon yet?"
"Funny you ask, I have been invited to have dinner with him in 2 weeks."
She smiled and said she was glad I was getting a chance to talk with him. I asked her why she was wanting us to meet with him so badly.
"I want things to get better for this pack before someone challenges him for his title. Alpha Brandon can be a great Alpha if these issues are brought to his attention."
"Why don't you meet with him as well?"
"I have already had my meeting and said what I needed to say. More pack members need to speak up on these issues for him to take things seriously."
"I will talk to him about my concerns when I go for this dinner."
She said she needed to get home and we said goodbye. I went inside and waited until time to go to work.
When I left for work, I was passing the flower shop and ran into someone. I looked up and It was Beta Josiah. I rolled my eyes.
"Watch where you are walking b*tch."
I said sorry and walked off. I didn't need another encounter in my home like last time or worse. When I got to work, I told Dara about Thea walking through the woods this morning and she asked if I had figured out who she was yet. I told her no and everyone I've asked said they don't know her. We had a busy day at the bookstore and then I headed to the packhouse when I got off. After my shift there, I grabbed a plate to go and headed home.
