I walked with Mom into the pack’s guest house to visit Lelo. We were a bit early for lunch but mom was just so excited to see him and I was too even though I already saw him yesterday. We brought lunch and some freshly baked cookies for him so he won’t be hungry while we wait for any news on whether he can stay here or not.
“Will this be enough for him?” Mom said. “I think we should have brought a little more.”
“Mom, that’s fine,” I said. “That’s enough, that’s even more than enough. We’ll just come back when he finishes all of that.”
“Alright,” Mom said and laughed. “I’m just so excited to see someone like him from our old pack.”
“I know, mom,” I said. “It’s been a long time since we ran away and we haven’t seen any of our friends from then on.”
“Yeah, that’s why too,” She said.
