The Alpha's Trespasser

“Let go of me!” I screamed over and over again. These men are holding me like an animal. It hurts that they are dragging me in the woods and not even letting me walk properly. “Get your hands off of her!” I heard someone said then a man stood in front of us. He was tall and broad. I could see how handsome he is due to the brightness of the moonlight. His face is perfectly shaped with thick eyebrows, blue eyes, a pointed nose, and thin lips. Wow! I could stare at his handsome face all day but the situation is very unlikable as I am in the middle of getting myself killed. I could smell something, like vanilla or like a newly bloomed flower in the garden. Well, we are in the forest, it might be the trees. I don’t really have all the time to talk about scents right now. “B-But Alpha Duke, she is an enemy. She is a trespasser and must be punished!” The guy on my left said. ALPHA?! He’s an alpha? “What?! What did you say?” The man whom they addressed as Alpha Duke said loudly and the men who were holding me looked scared. “A-Alpha, we found her roaming arou—” “I said, get your hands off of her!” He said and the two men let go of me. ‘’Hey, we’re dead, he’s the alpha. He’s gonna kill us.’ My wolf, Rein, mind-linked me. ‘’Oh, please, tell me something I don’t know.’ I said weakly. I know the punishment for trespassers is death and I will face that sooner or later. “What’s your name?” The Alpha asked me. His voice was filled with authority. I looked up and laughed sarcastically. My name is Xena but if you’re going to kill me, do it already. There’s no need for small talks, Alpha.” I said staring at him directly in his eyes. “Hey, respect the Alpha!” The man on my right yelled and then pushed me down on the ground and kicked me so hard. It was like he was kicking my internal organs out of my body. I yelped in pain as I held my stomach. Asshole! “Hey, stop!” The Alpha said as he went down to help me. “I told you to get your hands off her and you do this? Are you disobeying me now?” He yelled at the man. He helped me get up and cleaned my shirt. There was dirt all over it. “Are you alright?” He asked. Oh, so he was concerned about me. I couldn’t respond due to the immense pain that I felt. “Of course not, Alpha, I was just teaching her to show some respect—” “Then you should show respect to her as well!” He yelled. He scooped me up and placed me somewhere behind him. He then went to the guy, pinned him on a tree and punched him straight to the face. What the hell is he doing? Why is he defending me? Shouldn't he kill me by now? “You hurt her! You shouldn’t have done that.” He said as he gave the guy one last punch before he fell to the ground unconscious. I tried to walk away from there but my body hurts so much. It might be because they dragged me earlier and I hit myself with roots of the trees and some thorns. I walked one step but then I couldn’t do it. I felt weak and dizzy. I was falling and was ready to kiss the ground when someone caught me. It was the Alpha. Now, I am more than scared. What does he want from me? Does he want to torture me for information? “Let me go,” I said weakly. “I have to go.” “Yes,baby, we’ll go home now.” He said. Baby? Who is he calling baby? Am I hallucinating now? “Alpha Duke, what is going on here? Who is she?” A man who just arrived with pack soldiers said. Good! Now, I really don’t have a way to escape. “Is she a spy? Shall we punish her?” “NO!” Alpha Duke growled and glared at the man. “No one lays a finger on her. Respect her with the same respect you are giving me because she is your Luna!” Wait, WHAT?! I am their L-Luna? Does that mean… I am his mate? Why didn't I feel it? My mother said that there was supposed to be a very familiar scent that I could smell whenever I found my— Oh no! Is this the scent my Mom was talking about? It was a mixture of lavender and cinnamon or like fresh flowers. Wow, it’s the one I’ve smelled earlier. It smells great! Maybe, I was just too scared earlier that’s why I didn’t notice this. He’s my mate! Is that a good thing? ‘Of course! Meeting your mate is the best thing!’ Rein, my wolf, said. I was still processing what he said when I felt my body getting weaker and weaker until I couldn’t keep my eyes open anymore.
