Nora sat back in her chair with her eyes closed. She was exhausted from the operation. Hearing Leo's question, she opens her eyes and sighs softly.

"It's my job to save lives... So I don't care who's in front..." Nora said calmly.

"He deserved to die, you know it. What he did to you is not forgivable. You missed a good chance to take his life for revenge..." Leo frowned.

"Oh, come on, Leo! Don't be like this. He's your best friend, after all, and I'm not the kind of girl who believes in revenge..." Nora laughs at his reaction.

"We're no longer friends. To me, he's the person who hurt my innocent friend. He left you there alone to die. If I don't get there on time… You will… For that matter, I'll tell him that I will never forgive in my life." Leo growled in despair.

Nora thinks he's right, and it 's really risky to be here. She just can't faces Carter.

She looks down and walks as fast as she can. But soon, she feels the sight of Jax's eyes falling on her. Nora looked at her. Jax's eyes are so intense that she turns her face over to avoid eye contact. As she got closer to him, she felt her heart beating faster, step by step.

"Go on and do your duty..." Jax's voice is deep and calm.

"Okay, Beta..." They all stay together and go on a different path.

Only Beta Jax was left standing there for some reason. Nora feels more scared and nervous.

Her heart beats fast, and her body tenses. She cannot find the reason for her feelings. She keeps her eyes low and walks quickly. She heard the nurse's voice as she passed by.

"Dr. Morris... Please, wait..." The nurse comes running to her.

Nora stops midway and turns towards her. But she still heard a low growl from him. She feels that he is not happy to be interrupted by the nurse.

"This medicine is not in stock. What shall we do?" The nurse said, showing him the file.

"Give me the pen..." Nora asked him.

"Sorry doctor... I don't have a pen..." the nurse looked in her pocket and said helplessly.

"You can take my pen..." Jax nervously holds his pen. He suddenly got nervous.

Nora looks at the pen in his hand and takes it without looking at him. She prescribes another medicine and gives a file to the nurse.

"Bring this medicine... I'll show you how to give it to patients..." She said to the nurse.

"Okay, Doctor..." The nurse left her with Jax again.

Now she is alone with Jax and begins to feel attracted to his closeness. She wants to look at him. His warm honey smells very delicious. Now she was starting to scare him.

What happened to me? How can he attract me like this? Her mind was full of questions. She wanted to run away from there. So that she may be safe. Suddenly a thought struck her at ease.

"Thanks for the pen...," She said in a low voice and held her breath to hear his harsh words.

When he takes the pen from her hand, her fingers touch Jax's finger, and both feel tiny sparks.

Nora looks at him as he does the same. She is surprised, seeing some emotion in Jax's eyes. Her eyes widened. There is neither hatred nor anger in his eyes. She looked into his tender and caring eyes. There was also some touch of lust in his eyes. His eyes are changing color one after the other. Maybe he's trying to control his wolf.

Nora started to think of leaving out of fear. She looks away from him to avoid him. He murmured something in displaced. She can feel that he is ready to take her in his arms. But seeing the nurse coming to them, Nora again breathes a sigh of relief.

"Dr. Here is medicine..." The nurse shows her the medicine.

"Okay, you come with me. I'll show you how to use it..." Nora said and hurriedly headed in one direction.

But she still heard a low growl from her back. She could hardly stop herself from looking back to see his reaction. He sounds unhappy.

She looks down at her fingers and remembers the spark flowing through her body when she touches him. Something that attracts her to him. She remembered his sharp eyes and deep voice, and her cheeks heated up. She shakes her head to let out an unknown emotion.
