Carla pov
I was training in the gym when Gabi came into the area where I was hitting the punching bag. I could always tell when there was something on her mind when she was here so early in the morning, I had a fight in a few days so I needed to train hard. I had heard this b***h was a good fighter so I needed to be better. When I was done with the bag I turned to grab the towel to clean the sweat off of me.
“Alright Bestie, what's on your mind, you have been sitting there watching me for hours? That I was hitting the bag, so what's going on? What did Alec do?” I really thought it was something her mate did. but I was completely wrong, Alec has been nothing but loving and caring to her.
‘Carla, my dead ex mate, had a brother that is the one that has been stalking us, he says the throne is rightfully his and he will kill Alec and take me as his mate. I do not want to be with him. He was evil when I was with him. At first he was sweet and caring, then when he knew he had me that's when the beatings started and the hunger started. Now I have his brother to worry about. What am I supposed to do now? How am I supposed to defeat this man?” Am I supposed to just run away and let Alec handle this? I just don't know what to do. Look at me, I’m a damn vampire and I am scared to death of this man.” I listened to her and I knew she was upset. How would she know he had a brother? all he ever did was abuse her and strave her.
“Gabi. it's going to be okay. Talk to Alec, and see if he will train you. train you how to fight. and defend yourself, everyone needs to learn this. I am sure he will. So when this man comes and tries to challenge you or Alec, both of you can defend your home and yourselves, look at me. It took several months to learn how to fight. Everything is going to be okay. don't worry, okay. I hugged her tightly, I knew she was going to be okay. She was just worried about this. I knew Alec no matter what would protect her. Just go to him and talk to him, tell him your fears and ask him to train you. trust me if he's anything like my mate. he will,” She nodded, hugged me back and left, all she needed was a pep talk, she will be alright. She's a strong woman, so I went back to my training. i knew she was going to be just fine.
Alyssa pov
Today was the fight I needed to get my ass up, shower and get ready. I showered, dried off, and got dressed, got my shoes on and put my hair in a high bun. I walked out the bedroom with my duffle bag almost bumping into a guard,
“I am sorry my queen. But the king told me I needed to go with you this morning.” I sighed a little. I had forgotten that I told him only one guard. I didn't need a ton of people looking at me, wondering why i had royal guards looking after me,
"Alright. Let's head out. it's only a thirty minute ride there." We headed outside, got into my jeep and hauled ass, we stopped for drinks and breakfast, then left again. I think I scared him because he looked like he was holding on for dear life. When we got there it looked like a run down barn house, the guard looked around then back at me.
“What the hell are we doing here my queen?”
“Shhh, Do not call me that right now. Call me Alyssa, you will not tell Jaden anything about what you are about to see, I am a fighter I fight for a living, when they call me they let me know when I have a fight and with whom. This one I haven't fault before until now. Come on, let's get out and get inside there and see what's going on. I will tell Jaden myself when I am ready. Let's go inside." When we entered the rundown barn the announcer nodded at me. I nodded back. The bouncer told me to head to the dressing room to my left. I went to it and the guard stood outside while I got ready. I noticed a shower and a mirror with a TV but I won't be in here for too long. I'm first up. I was on the mat when they called Baker. She had short blonde hair and brown eyes. And very muscular. She was about 5.6 I could have sworn she was a man but she wasn't. The ref came onto the mat and started to talk.
"The rules are, there are no rules. You fight to win or to a knockout. Or die, Are we ready?” We both nodded. He moved and said fight. We started fighting by throwing the first punch. But we were throwing fist to fist kick to kick. She was copying my every move. So I decided to try something that I only tried once. I flipped over her, kneeing her in the middle of the back. She fell face first as I took her foot, breaking her ankle then I bent her leg kneeing it hard breaking the bone in half. I kicked her again right in the head knocking her out. The ref counted one two three. The winner is Alyssa. Go sign your paperwork and go get your money. When we left. The guard that I know as Chris had asked me. What the hell is he going to say to Jaden when he asks what we do today?"
"It's easy Chris. Tell him we went to an old barn to watch a fight. You're not lying to him. You did go to an old barn and you did watch a fight. You just didn't say who was fighting, that's all. You're still loyal to your king..
Chris pov.
I never knew a woman could be so strong until today. I was on my guard when we stopped at this barn. But damn she's a f*****g fighter. She could teach these warriors a thing or two. I asked her what the hell am I going to say to the king when he asked me what we did today. “Simple. Tell him we went to an old barn to watch a fight." Well it is the truth. We did go and watch a fight. So I wouldn't be lying to him. But he would kick my ass if he knew I let her fight. We were almost home and I was dreading to be there. I knew the king was going to ask me. But instead when we parked the car. He wanted to see how her day was
He hugged her looking at me. He mindlinked and asked how everything went. Was there any trouble?"
"No my king. Everything went well. Nothing happened, just hanging out with friends and watching a fight." He nodded and walked inside with Alyssa. Well damn that was easy. But I knew he would be asking for more information later on. I knew this wasn't the last of the conversation. He had more questions. but he wanted to spend some time with the queen now. We all missed Kathrine, I was there when we were warring with the rogue king, I just wish i could had saved her and kept her safe, but we have a queen that fights, how the hell am i going to keep this a secret,
