Sophia’s P.O.V    I was so happy to see Casey that I ran all the way home and when I got there I ran straight into the pack house, right into my dad’s office. My dad was sitting behind her desk, working on his computer, but as soon as he heard me run in he looked up and smiled at me.   “So, did you see her?” He asked and I quickly nodded.   “Yes, I saw her and she’s beautiful. I still don’t know if she remembers me or if her parents even told her about me, but I know that the witch made her forget about us because she was human and her parents didn’t want her to know about us just yet, but she is a werewolf or lycan now, so maybe it's the right time. Is Nila still alive? She might have some answers.” I asked, but my father shook his head.   “I honestly don’t know, sweetie, but I’m sure we can find out, just give me a few days, okay.” My dad replied and I quickly nodded.   “Alright daddy, just let me know as soon as you find out anything. I have to go up to my room to study for school tomorrow, so I’ll see you afterwards.” I said, kissing my dad's cheek. I ran up to my room and closed the door, locking it, then fell on my bed. I didn’t even know how to talk to her, especially if she didn’t remember me. What was I going to say, hey you don’t remember me but I was your sister for a short time, so how have you been? No, that was stupid, I couldn’t say that to her. I thought back to all the time we spent together and how we played dress up, hide and seek, tag and other games. It made me smile at how much fun we had together and I just hoped that when I finally got the guts to talk to her that she would want to know me. Suddenly there was a knock on my bedroom door, making me jump. I hurried to open it, already knowing it was my mom. I unlocked and opened the door to see that I was right and let my mom inside.   “I understand that you went to see her, how is she? You know the witch cleaned out her memory and even if she looks for you, she won't remember you. Your dad told me that he’s going to find Nila the witch and see what she says.” My mom said and I sighed. Why was she acting like this was no big deal? She always thought on the negative side when it came to Casey and I had no idea why. Was she just looking out for me to make sure I didn’t get hurt or was there something else?   “I know, mom, but I just want to get to know her. I’ve been watching her over the years and I wish I could just go and talk to her, but I don’t want her freaking out.” I replied and she nodded. I was glad to see that Casey had found her mate and hoped I would find mine someday, but I wanted to do one thing at a time first. Getting to know my sister was my first and only priority right now, then I would think about everything else afterwards.   “She’ll be fine, honey, just wait and see what happens.” My mom said, hugging me. After a few minutes my mom left my room, shutting the door behind her and I laid back on my bed, thinking. The last time I saw my sister and we were together was when we were twelve years old, but Casey won’t remember that and if she does she will only remember me from when I was three years old. Flashback…. Casey and I were in the house playing with our dolls and dressing them up, brushing their hair. There was a knock on the door and our father Micheal got up from his chair to answer the door, but when he did he looked shocked.   “Can I help you?” My dad asked.   “Yes sir, my name is Mark and this is my wife, Bonnie, can we come inside? We would like to talk to you about little Sophia.” The man said and my dad sighed. Casey and I sat there confused as we looked at the doorway and I had no idea who they were, but my dad opened the door wider for them.   “Sure, come inside, I think we have a lot to talk about.” My dad replied, but I didn't understand. What did they have to talk about? Who were these people? How did they know me and what did they want? The strange couple came inside and my dad closed the door behind them as they all walked into the living room.   “Please take a seat, while I get my wife.” My dad said, but then looked sadly at Casey and I.   “Susan, honey, can you come into the living room please, we have company.” My dad said and my mom quickly came into the living room, but stopped dead in her tracks as soon as she saw the strange man and woman sitting on the couch. The couple sitting on the couch were very beautiful, but who are they and how do they know me?    “Hello, my name is Mark and this is my wife, Bonnie. We have come here for our daughter Sophia.” The man said, shocking all of us. They said they were my parents, but how? Before I had a chance to ask any questions the man spoke again.   “She is a werewolf and she will be shifting soon, but you won’t be able to help her and she will end up dying. I know you don’t believe us, so we are prepared to show you proof. If you would be so kind as to come over here and look at our eyes you will see for yourself.” The man said and both my mom and dad walked over to them. I watched closely, wondering what was going to happen, when suddenly their eyes changed color and their ears suddenly started to change into that of a dog or as they said they were, wolves.   “That’s enough, we believe you.” My dad said, stepping back and wrapping his arm around my mom's shoulders. Casey and I sat there in shock, not knowing what to say or do.   “My daughter will be heartbroken when she is gone.” My dad said and my mom had tears in her eyes. Why are they crying? I don't know these people, so why are they letting them take me away? The woman had long red hair, which looked the same as mine and I had the same eyes as the man, but where had they been for this long if they were my parents.   “How are we going to explain to her that her sister went away?” My mom asked, shaking her head.   “Susan, I know a witch and she can come here. She will make your daughter forget about Sophia, but that is your decision. She can be here in two hours if you agree.” The man said and then looked at me. I looked at Casey and she was just as confused as I was, but neither of us said anything and then the man and woman came and stood next to me, confusing us even more.   “Yes, yes, she doesn't need to remember anything.” My dad said, confusing both of us even more. The man called Mark, the one who claimed to be my dad, made a phone call and then hung up. Mark and the woman called Bonnie called me over to them and sat me on the couch next to them, explaining everything to me, but I was still confused and Casey was upset. After a while Casey and I came to understand that we weren’t actually sisters and they told us of how I was found, but while I was in shock, Casey was crying. It felt so weird that now I would have to call Mark and Bonnie mom and dad, while I would have to call mom and dad, Susan and Micheal. Two hours later there was another knock at the door, but this time Mark answered the door and let in a strange dressed woman.   “My name is Nila, please hand me the child.” Nila said and my mom...Susan carried Casey, who was still crying, over to her. Susan cradled Casey in her arms, while Nila ran her hand through her hair whispering something in her ear and soon Casey had stopped crying and was asleep. Nila took Casey from Susan and laid her on the couch and then turned to face Micheal and Susan.   “She will sleep for several hours, but in that time you must get rid of Sophia’s clothes, furniture, bed and everything that she has here. She will not remember her sister and will have forgotten that she ever even had one, but there must be nothing to remind her.” Nila said and while all of the grown ups nodded, I shook my head.   “What’s going on? What have you done to my sister?” I asked, confused and scared. I now knew that Casey wasn’t my real sister, but she was the only sister I had ever known, so that made her my sister.   “Sophia, these are your real parents and you are going to go back home with them, but your sister will be really sad that you are gone, so we are going to take her memories of you away, that way she won't be sad. She is okay, I promise, she is just asleep.” Nila replied and although I didn’t want Casey to forget about me, I didn’t want her to be sad either. I nodded my head and everyone sighed, glad that I understood.   “Sophia can take her clothes and her dresser with her, if that will help, but we already have a bed, so maybe the best way to get rid of it would be to take it to Goodwill.” Mark, I mean my dad said. I don’t think I will ever get used to calling him dad, but I guess I would have to try.   “You must remove all photos of her and it has to be as if she was never here, as if she never existed. Now, I can't promise that Casey will never remember because one day she might and if she does she will ask many questions, but it will be up to you how and if you answer them. When I leave the two hours will start and you have until it ends to get everything done, so you must hurry.” Nila said and they all nodded. She bowed to my real mom and dad.   “I’ll take my leave, but if you ever need my help again, you know where to find me.” Nila said and left. My real parents and my adoptive parents all started to hurry around the house, removing every trace of me, while I sat next to Casey, stroking her hair and keeping an eye on her. I watched as they hurried to remove any photos of me and although they said the toys could stay, I took a few of them to remind me of Casey because although she would forget me, I never wanted to forget her. After everything was removed all the grown ups stood in front of me, waiting for me. I hugged Micheal and Susan, thanking them for looking after me and telling them I loved them and I would miss them, then I walked back over to where Casey was lying and knelt down beside her. I hugged her tightly and kissed her cheek.   “I’ll always remember you, my sister. We’ll meet again one day.” I whispered and then stood up. I left with my real parents, Mark and Bonnie. The whole car ride was silent, apart from when we stopped off at Goodwill and gave them my old bed. When they got back in the car we rode in silence again as we drove back to their home and I had no idea what to say to them, I mean I know they are my parents, but where were they all these years? Flashback Ends….   So much has happened since that day and it took a long time for me to be comfortable around my real mom and dad, but we eventually got there and now look at us. We were now one big happy family, but I never forgot about my adoptive parents, Susan and Micheal or my sister Casey. After thinking about everything it made me think about the situation I was in right now. Maybe I should stay away from Casey, maybe it's best if she hasn’t remembered me or what happened. I thought and sighed as I opened my school books to study.
