Don’t Play With Me

{Maisy’s POV} He walked over to where I was and lifted me up, setting me down on the kitchen counter. “Don’t play around with me May. That giggle may just be the end of you.” He warned. “I’m not someone to mess with, plus I didn’t get you a birthday present.” He said, his hands gripping the counter on both sides of me. “I know something I could do, but I think after the night you’ve had, it may be best to skip it.” He smirked down at me. He knew just how to push my d*** buttons. “You’re so f****** annoying!” I said trying to push him back, his body swayed, putting him inches away from my face. He was planted firmly to the ground in front of me. I noticed my legs were open and he was in between my knees. I quickly closed them, and blushed. “C-Can you let me up please..” I said looking anywhere but at him. “Why? You know I would never hurt you, right?” He asked, setting his hand down gently on my thigh, and massaging it softly. I know he didn’t mean it to be this way, but my mind is wandering to places I wish it wouldn’t. His hand is so warm, and large, and now all I can do is think about how amazing his touch would feel on other parts of my body. “D-Damon..” I whispered slightly. His eyes went wide, and he backed away, turning around to face the living room’s. “Down the hall to the left, I left a shirt on the bed. Go ahead and get dressed.” He said refusing to look back at me. I slid off the counter and ran towards the room. Once I made it in, I closed the door locking it behind me. I grabbed the blue button up on his bed and threw it on. I buttoned it quickly and made my way back out into the living room. I grabbed the throw blanket and wrapped it around myself and laid on the couch, snuggling down into the cushions and closing my eyes. A few minutes passed and Damon walked out, his footsteps grabbed my attention as I fluttered my eyes open softly, he was dressed in a pair of grey sweatpants and a white t-shirt. “What are you doing?” He asked, a bit of anger in his voice. “I’m going to sleep Damon.” I answered, adjusting myself to get comfortable. “No, no, no!” He sighed, walking over and lifting me bridal style. He carried me to the bedroom and tossed me onto the bed. “You’re sleeping in here, I’ll take the couch.” As I landed the shirt I was wearing slipped up a little, showing off the tattooed over scar I had on my very upper thigh. I quickly covered it back, and tried to get under the covers. “What was that?” He said, a smirk etched across his face. “NOTHING! I’m going to bed!” I said throwing the covers over my head. “Oh no you don’t! Miss baby, everyone in your family would freak if they knew you had a tattoo, let me see!” He said grabbing the blankets and pulling them off the bed. “I didn’t ask to be babied!” I snapped. “Now stop it, it’s in a very personal part!” That’s when I realized I had forgotten my n***** rings in the other bathroom. “Crap!” I sighed, getting out of bed and running into the other bathroom. I quickly grabbed them and closed them up in my hand. I turned to see Damon right behind me. “What have you got there?” He asked. “None of your business Day! Leave me be!” I huffed trying to walk past him. He grabbed my hand and pulled the rings out. “What are these for, your ears aren’t pierced..” he said looking down at them. I snatched them back, “They’re not for my ears.. now drop it Damon!” I said, making my way back to the bedroom with Damon hot on my tail. “Come on, hidden tattoo, secret piercings. What do they go to? What’s the tattoo.” He said, snickering behind me. He was making fun of me, his snarky, and condescending tone coming through. “They’re for my n****** Damon, does that make you feel better? Also, the tattoo is a butterfly!” I lied. “Can I go to sleep in peace now?” I asked making my way back to his room. I went into his bathroom and cleaned the rings. I had to put them back in, but Damon still was standing there in the doorway of his room. I closed the bathroom door and put back in my piercings. I walked back out, and Damon still stood in the doorway with his arms crossed. “Who are you and what have you done to the little Princess I grew up with?” He snickered. “The Princess you grew up with is gone Damon, and I’m also done with this conversation. Yes, I have some tattoo’s and some n***** piercings, but that doesn’t mean that you can make fun of me. Can I go to sleep now?” I asked crawling back into his bed. “Some tattoos?” He arched his brow, snickering softly. “I wasn’t meaning to make fun of you, I just think.. sorry. You used to be so shy, and annoying. I’m used to seeing you as the annoying little sister, but now you’re..” he paused. “I’m what?” I asked. “You’re beautiful..” he whispered. His eyes never tearing away from mine. We both sat there, staring into one another’s eyes for a few minutes. “Well, I should let you get some sleep..” he said awkwardly, turning to walk away. “Wait..” I spoke softly. “You.. ugh.. you can’t just call me beautiful then walk away from me!” I said irritated. “Just get some sleep..” he said making his way out of the room. “Day.. can you.. can you sleep in here with me? We can separate the blankets, if you want, but I don’t want to be alone..” I spoke softly. “I don’t think..” he started. I cut him off. “Please Day..” He sighed, and made his way to the other side of the bed. “Fine, but only for tonight, I’m not going to come sleep in your bed every time you’re upset or something!” He groaned out. “What if I asked nicely?” I teased. “Just go to bed before I change my mind!” He snickered. He cuddled up behind me, snuggling me into his warm embrace. I felt safe, secure, like nothing could hurt me. I didn’t realize how much I needed to feel that way right now. Damon had done so well at keeping me distracted, that I had begun to feel comfortable with him. Used to, he would annoy me to the point where we would have to be separated. Right now, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else but in his arms.
