The next morning, Lilianna found herself in a large room beside Oliver.
There were many business looking people everywhere and they were talking and laughing.
She held onto Oliver as they walked around greeting people.
"Now for your test." Oliver said,
Lilianna didn't understand, but she soon did when she saw that they were walking over to a couple.
And the man was no other than Nicoli Montez.
She nearly stumbled as they got to them.
"Mr. and Mrs. Montez." Oliver said,
Nicoli looked up and looked taken aback by Lilianna.
He quickly composed himself and shook his head.
"No, this lovely young lady is just an escort." Nicoli said,
His voice was still deep and rich, making Lilianna weak.
She wanted nothing more than to scream and jump into Nicoli's arms and tell him everything.
"This is my wife, Lilianna." Oliver said,
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Montez." Lilianna mumbled,
"Nice to meet you too, Lilianna." Nicoli said,
"This is Christina." Nicoli introduced and she politely greeted them.
Oliver and Nicoli talked for some time while Lilianna just stood beside Oliver staring at Nicoli, feeling so many emotions.
Oliver and Nicoli spoke with sharp tones and glared at each other.
Moments later, Lilianna found herself and Oliver walking away.
She glanced over her shoulder to see him walking away without a glance.
She frowned and looked forward.
"You're a sick bastard." Lilianna muttered,
Oliver lowly chuckled and pulled her tighter.
"I know." He huskily whispered into her ear.
She looked disgusted, but nonetheless affected.
The rest of the time, she didn't bother listen to his conversations and simply looked around, hoping to catch a glimpse of him.
"I need to go to the bathroom, Oliver." She announced suddenly,
Oliver raised a curious eyebrow at her but let her go.
She walked quickly and sighed in relief when she was freed of Oliver, even if it was just for a minute.
She leaned against the sink trying to gather her scattered thoughts. Emotions battled with emotions as she thought of Nicoli.
After so long, her heart ached for him and now he was just at arm's reach. Sadly, she couldn't approach him.
After calming down, Lilianna took a deep breath and walked out the bathroom.
Just as she was about to walk to the opening, she was suddenly slammed against the wall away from the crowd.
Hands tightly held hers above her head and when she looked up, she gasped seeing dark green eyes.
"Nicoli." His name came out dreamy and smooth making Nicoli briefly weaken.
He shook his thoughts and tightened his grip.
"You have a lot of explaining to do." He lowly growled,
Lilianna nodded her head rapidly.
"I'm sorry for leaving you and Carina. It wasn't my intention, but Oliver kidnapped me and took me to Italy. I couldn't do anything to contact you or Seriana. I'm here to test my loyalty to him." She rushed off, explaining as much she she could.
Nicoli sighed and visibly relaxed. He let go of her hands and wrapped them around her instead, hugging her tightly.
Lilianna wrapped her arms around his neck holding on tightly. She inhaled his scent, missing it so damn much.
"Gosh, I've missed you so much." Nicoli groaned nuzzled her neck.
"I missed you too. How's Carina." Lilianna asked,
"Fine. She's grown a lot and hasn't forgotten about you." He said,
Lilianna smiled and was going to say something when she heard Oliver's voice.
Her eyes widened and she pushed Nicoli away.
"I have to go. He can't catch us together or he'll send me back." She said,
Nicoli nodded his head and frowned as he let her go.
Lilianna quickly stepped around the just as Oliver appeared.
"What took you so long?" He asked, eyeing her suspiciously.
"I said I was using the bathroom, Oliver. Clearly I wanted to waste time in there so I wouldn't spend so long with you." She scoffed, rolling her eyes.
Oliver grabbed her hand and pulled back to the gathering without another word.
~~~~~
There were many things Lilianna thought of Oliver.
He was a selfish jerk that thought he owned her. He was a cruel and ruthless. He was many things, but he was far from nice.
Lilianna silently sat at the table across from him.
He had headphones plugged in while he worked over some papers.
It was breakfast time and while she ate, he worked, listened to rap, and ate all at once.
Lilianna stared long and hard at him, trying to decipher the man.
His hard face gave nothing away as he worked on. He would occasionally breath out hard as he looked something over.
Many times, she thought of interrupting him, but shook her head and went against it.
Finally, she got tired of watching him and decided to speak to him.
She lightly tapped his outstretched hand.
He looked up at her and took off the headphones.
"Yes?" He asked, sounding irritated.
Lilianna took a deep breath fighting the urge to glare at him.
"I was wondering if I could visit Daniel and Seriana today." She said,
He was quiet for some time, staring at her.
"Why?" He asked,
"Because I miss them." She replied,
"You can visit them tomorrow." He said and looked back down at his work.
"No! Oliver please. I'm not doing anything here and I really want to see them." She said quickly,
"Please?" She pleaded,
He sighed, leaning back in the chair.
"One of the guards will drop you off." He said,
She watched as he collected his things and phone before he stalked into his hotel room.
Lilianna smiled excited and got up to get ready.
Twenty minutes later she was walking out the hotel suite with a guard behind her.
They got into the car and drove off the house.
When they got there, Lilianna got out and waited until they drove off.
She knocked on the door and Seriana opened the door.
"Lili, darling! You're back." She said, pulling her into a hug.
Lilianna cherished the hug and they both walked into the house.
"Hey Dan." She said, hugging him.
At the sound of her voice, Nicky and Mickey came running out and with River following them.
"Aunty!" They screamed and hugged her.
"Hey boys." Lilianna said, giving each a kiss and hug.
"Hi, River." She said,
River smiled, her blonde hair falling into her face.
Lilianna smiled at her and pushed her hair back.
Sana, Forest, and Nicoli suddenly walked out, staring at her.
"Lilianna." Sana said,
She looked like she was going to cry and pulled Lilianna into a hug.
Forest silently joined the hug and squeezed tightly.
"You're alive and here. Oh my gosh." Sana said and couldn't help but pull her back into a hug.
"Shh, we can't raise Seriana's curiosity." Lilianna said,
Sana nodded her head and they moved to sit in the living room.
"Explain." She said,
Forest sat beside them, wanting to know too.
"I have been in Italy for the past two years. It wasn't a choice. I'm married, but again not my choice. I can't say much really." Lilianna said,
"I understand. I'm just so happy that you're back." Sana said,
Nicoli suddenly walked in holding Carina.
She was so much bigger. Her dark hair was in some pigtails and she was clutching onto Nicoli.
"Carina." Lilianna whispered as she got up.
Nicoli handed her the baby and Lilianna happily took her.
"Hi, sweetie. Mommy has missed you so much." Lilianna cooed at her.
She bounced her lightly talking and kissing her.
River ran into the room with of course Mickey following close behind.
"It's close to have you back, Lilianna." Nicoli said,
Lilianna nodded her head, knowing it wasn't permanent.
Sana left to help Seriana cook while Lilianna stayed in the living room, playing with Carina.
"Can you say mama?" Lilianna asked as Carina stood up.
"Mama!" Carina screamed and jumped.
"Close enough." Forest said in sign language.
Lilianna smiled, nodding her head.
The food was finally ready, and everyone walked into the dining room.
They all sat down and served their plates.
The kids sat at a much smaller table while Carina was the only one that sat at the big table on Lilianna's lap.
"Wait, where's Sophie?" Lilianna asked suddenly remembering.
"She's off sleeping at friend's house." Dan said,
Lilianna nodded her head and went back to feeding Carina.
"Why does Carina get to sit up there?" Mickey whined,
"Because she's still a baby and needs to be fed." Seriana said,
Mickey grumbled something under his breath went back to eating.
Everyone laughed and they all talked, catching up on everything.
After they were done, they moved to the living room where they drank wine and watched a movie together.
Lilianna sipped on her wine silently dreading the moment she had to leave.
It won't be long before Oliver sent someone to pick her up
At around ten, Sana and Nicoli left.
"Bye, baby." Lilianna whispered and kissed Carina goodbye.
She watched as they drove off before going back inside.
"How are you holding up?" Dan asked as she entered the kitchen.
"I'm fine. I miss you all and wish I could stay here longer." Lilianna sighed as she leaned against the counter.
Dan nodded his head and poured some tea for the both.
"What are you going to do?" He asked,
"I honestly don't know." She mumbled,
They were silent as they drank their tea.
They heard a someone honk outside and Lilianna knew it was time to leave.
She hugged Dan and Seriana goodbye and left.
As she got into the car, she noticed a box on the chair.
She picked up a card on top of it with her name on it.
She opened the box to see a book. She opened and found it empty.
"Who sent this?" She asked the driver.
He said he didn't know. That it was there when he got in and left it there.
Lilianna sat back and thought of what the book was for.
