CHAPTER 5

1054 Words
Lilianna woke up the next morning laying in the soft hotel bed. She looked to the glass to see the sun barely awake. It seemed to be around six and when she looked at the time it was 6:25 a.m. Back in Italy she usually woke up at this hour for her morning run and it would not be any different here. She got out of bed and went to get ready. Eight minutes later she was dressed and ready. She searched her iPod for her run playlist. She walked out her room and into the dark hallway. She didn't know if Oliver was here or not, but she didn't care. Just as she opened the door, she bumped into a large chest. She looked up to see one of the guards. "Si." She said, "Mr. D'Amato, knew you were going for a run this morning and intruded me to watch you." The large man said, Lilianna nodded her head and he stepped aside. She walked the hall with him trailing behind her. They got onto the elevator and rode it down to the lobby. The lobby was filled with employees preparing everything today and some guests. Lilianna walked through the front doors and looked side to side. She plugged in her headphones and music started playing. Her run was slow and long as Lilianna ran as far as she could. Normally she was quick, but she spent her time looking at the city. When her run was done and she back in her hotel suite, Oliver was already up and dressed. He looked up at her as she walked into the kitchen and retrieved a bottle of water. "I have a meeting to attend to again today. A guard has been assigned to you as well as a driver. You can go out and have fun. Just not see your family yet." Oliver said, "So, when exactly do I get to see them?" Lilianna asked, "When I decide to." Oliver retorted and walked away. Lilianna lowly growled at him and walked to her room. After taking a nice cool shower, she was dressed and ready to go out. When she stepped into the living room, sure enough there was a large bulky man standing there. "Good morning, Mrs. D'Amato. I'm Julius and I will be your guard." He said, Lilianna nodded her head not really caring. They left the suite shortly after and they silently rode the elevator down to the lobby. When they stepped outside a slick black car was parked up front. The driver stepped out and greeted both. Lilianna smiled at the man and thanked him as he held the door open for her. Lilianna got comfortable in the back seat while Julius and the driver, Richard sat up front. They soon pulled, getting ready to see the city that Lilianna missed so much. 4 Hours Later. Now sitting in a cafe, Lilianna bored watched as people walked by. It was now midday and she had nothing to do. In such a large city and there was nothing that Lilianna wanted to do. Except for seeing her family which she couldn't. So, she used that time to think. How would they react if they saw her? Did they even look for her? Was her dad better and how is Carina and Nicoli? God, she missed her baby so much. She was sure Nicoli had her now. Maybe he even forgot about her and found a girlfriend and is now happy. Lilianna sighed stopping the thoughts in her mind. She was getting doubtful and it wasn't helping her case. She needed to think positive. Of course, they'd look for her and miss her. What the hell is she thinking. After a while, she left for the hotel and when she entered the suite Oliver was in the living room watching tv. She sucked in a breath and mentally prepared herself. She confidentiality walked over to him and stood in his way. "Lilianna, please move from the way." Oliver sighed, "I want to see my family tomorrow. No excuses, no saying that it's when you want. I promised I would behave and tell no one that you kidnapped me. Keep your promise and take me to see them." Lilianna firmly said, Oliver raised an eyebrow at her and simply watched her. "And if I say no?" He asked, "You forced me to become your wife and even though I fought and still do, I at least accept some parts of it. If I'm your wife, then you should treat me like it and let me decide what I want and have freedom. Full freedom. Not having guards follow me around and tell me to stay here all day." She said, Oliver got up, easily towering over her, but she didn't back down. "Alright." He said, Lilianna blinked at him in shock. Did he just agree? She thought he'd object or argue with her. "W-What?" She stuttered, "I said alright. Lilianna, I'm not the bad guy. I just want you to accept me as your husband and not hare me. If letting you see your family and give you complete freedom changes your opinion about me, then alright." Oliver confessed, Lilianna openly gaped at him in shock. "I don't understand. Are you say I can see my family, but I can also be free entirely do what I want?" She asked, "Yes, but you'll still be my wife and stay by my side. I'm trying to be a good person to you." Oliver said, A large smile broke onto her face and before she could stop her face, she hugged him. "Thank you. Thank you." She said, He slowly hugged her and tightened his arms around her. She pulled and way and Wayne he watched as she ran into her room. He sighed and sat back on the couch. It took a lot from him to accept her demand. He took her from her family for two years and forced her to marry him. To anyone it would be evil and rape since he had s*x with her, and he felt guilty for it. The day he walked into her cafe asking for her help wasn't the first time he saw. If she only knew that he was so much more to her.
