Lenora POV
The drive to the school was filled with silence as chaos clouded my mind. I had seen some skeets about the death flag coming back to school today after the accident. That's what I was labeled as; a death flag and anyone friends with me would die.
Rain had begun to pour from the darkened skies. I pulled into the car park, picking a spot furthest from where I knew Jared and Crystal parked. Seeing the mini cooper my father helped buy for her sitting pristine next to Jaredc still bothered me. Our family did so much for hers and yet she betrayed me the moment she thought we lost value. I could never forgive them.
I still remember catching them having s*x in my bedroom during the funeral repast. The bile in my stomach rising to burn my throat. Of all the places and times to do that I couldn’t believe people could be that cruel.
The funeral was nice enough, my father wanted to be buried in nature so it was just the immediate family gathered in the woods behind our home to place his living urn in the fresh soil. The repast has started and we were sharing memories, it had been hard. My back still had hardwire in it making it difficult to move around, so I had become a hermit, but my best friend and boyfriend had come to support me and I was just so happy. About an hour into the repast I was wondering where Jared and Crystal had run off too and began to hobble around to find them. I made my way down the hall when I heard the shushed moans of Crystal.
I knew what I was going to find, but I still needed to see it so I didn’t make any excuses. I opened the door and found Jared f*****g Crystal over my parents bed, her black dress hiked up around her waist and her red thong down around her ankles. Jared was in my fathers favorite robe in some sick twisted fantasy. I guess they hadn’t heard me enter yet because they began to say the most horrific things. “f**k me harder Kraven,” Crystal moaned my fathers name. “That’s it Len, take your daddy’s c**k,” Jared groaned as he pushed her face into the pillow.
What kind of sick and twisted role play was this. I felt tears welling in my eyes but I didn’t want them to see weakness. Calm yourself. I heard a whisper and I let the feelings wash away. I knocked on the wall. “Leave.” That was all I said. They both looked like they had seen a ghost and began to try and talk their way out of it.
“Babe, listen it was all her idea,” Jared pleaded, wanting to throw Crystal under the bus. “I only ever thought of you baby. She’s the one that wanted to f**k your dad.”
“Len please you know me better than that, your dad was like family to me I would never. Jared is the one who felt such a jealousy of him he needed to be him in order to get it up.” I didn’t want to hear anything else and just left the room. I remember sitting on my bed numb for a full day before Kolt managed to get into my room and get me out of the state.
A few days after that rumors began to swirl that the accident was my fault. I had forced my family to go back and get something for me even though I knew there was a storm. Jared broke up with me claiming he could never love someone so selfish. That same day I saw Skeets of him and Crystal together. I assumed it was them trying to save their asses from me saying what they did. It wouldn’t matter if I said anything now, no one would believe a murder and I didn’t care at that point. Things had gotten complicated after finding Lena doped up that first time. These rumors seemed so small compared to what I had to deal with at home.
