Emily's POV
"I... I couldn't, I mean, I work for you, it's inappropriate." I stuttered my answer once a little bit of the shock wore off. I can't believe he just asked me out in front of his sister. I honestly thought he despised me. Thomas always acted like even if I was the last woman on Earth, he would never date me, and now this.
"OK, nevermind." He says nonchalantly and turns to walk towards the stairs, and in the process leaves me standing here alone, mouth still gaping like a fish, brain in absolute overdrive, trying to process what the f**k just happened.
