Everly POV "Go away!" I yelled at the person that kept knocking on the door. After yesterday I wasn't in the mood to be bothered by people. But the persistent knocking continued. I got up from the bed and walked over to the door and yanked it open only to come face-to-face with the King. Father or not, I didnt want to see him. I tried to close the door but he placed his foot in the way, I glared down at it then back up at him. "I'm not in the mood today." "I understand that, believe me I do. But I came here to see if you could come with me?" He asked, his eyes that looked so much like mine was pleading. "Where?" I asked him and he sighed deeply. "The dungeons! Before we put him on trial he has asked to see you!" Michael mentioned the man that brought me home. He told me everything he knew about him and what he admitted to doing while I was with him and my uncle. He even told me that my grandmother was involved. "Does he know that I have no memories of him or what he did?" He shookhis head and I sighed. "Is there something you aren't telling me? Because I can feel desperation and dread rolling off of you in waves." "I'm hoping that if you see him, and him talking to you like you and him are more than just acquaintances that something may light the spark for you to remember something." He said. I was getting tired of seeing people I didn't know. Absolutely exhausted at this point. But even I was getting tired of not knowing who everyone was. I nodded my head at him and leaned down grabbing my shoes, I left the door open as I went over and sat on the bed to put them on. I had the window open, I could hear children outside playing. I envied how nothing in the world bothered them. Not a care in the world for things to bother them while they ran around carelessly. Gabriel has tried to bring his son by to see me today, but I didn't want to see him. I hated that he still had him but I didn't have my own child. I know it was wrong to think like that but I couldn't help it,it made me jealous. I trusted Michael to look after her, but even he couldn't do that for a couple hours. I hated how I couldn't get over my anger with him and with Gabriel because Milo told me that he was the one who had her when she was taken. I got up after tying my laces and walked back over to Leonardo. He offered me his arm but I shook my head. It seemed he was just as stubborn as I was and refused to accept my refusal. I let out a deep breath and linked my arm with his. "A Princess should never walk alone." "Why, afriad somebody might kidnap me too?" I mumbled. This palace wasn't that safe to me anymore. Not after my baby was taken right out from under me. You would think that they would have upped their security after I was brought back. He didn't say anything. He just lowered his head and subtly nodded his head. We walked for a little while before coming up to a door, he knocked on it twice and just waited. I also noticed that Elliot was following us bit I didn't comment on why. The groaning of the door was heard before it began to open. Once it was I saw a huge man standing there. His hair was in a messy bun at the top of his head, he was taller than Milo, and that was crazy because Milo was tall. Taller than both Gabriel and Michael. He glanced at the King, then looked down at me. I felt no harm from him so I gave him a small smile. He returned it and Elliot chuckled when he did. The huge man glared at him over my shoulder. "Sorry big guy, it's nice to see you smile for once." Elliot chuckled once again. I had no clue what was going on, but he moved aside just as the King and I walked passed him he set his hand on my shoulder making me stop. I turned to him with questioning eyes. "We've never met, but I have heard alot about you. It's good to finally meet our missing Princess!" I just stared at him, how have I never met him? I must have met him before. Before I could ask him, I was pulled down the stairs by the King. "What did he mean?" I asked looking up at him. "If I'm a princess how has he never meet me?" "You didn't grow up here, Everly. You already know that, you've met your adopted father, so don't be so shocked." He said. But that wasn't enough, I also had a feeling there was more to it than just that. I'll ask him another time because now we were standing in front of a cell. The man inside was laying on the little bed on his back with his hands behind his head. "Joshua!" The King spit out bitterly. The man Joshua lifted his head up, he grinned and sat up. "Luna! Nice to see you again. He said getting to his feet and walking over to us. "I see you've had your baby? How is the little one?" He asked me, I was stuck on what he just called me though. Why did he call me that and why did it sound familiar? When I didn't answer him he frowned. "What happened?" He looked to the two men standing with me. "Please tell me she didn't die!" He asked panic flowing from him. When he asked if she was dead, my heart twisted in pain and my stomach filled with knots just at the thought of it. "No, she's alive! But your accomplice kidnapped her last night." Leonardo spat at Joshua. His gaze shifted from worry, to anger as he looked at me. "Order them to let me out. I will find her for you!" He hit the bars of the cell and I jumped away from him, I walked back until my back hit the wall behind me. "Damn it, Everly, you trusted me before so trust me now. I will find Diana for you!" His eyes began to change. My heart rate sped up when they went from green to red. "I wouldn't trust you not to keep her for yourself. I was told how you touched my daughter, your nuts if you think I'll trust you with my granddaughter..," The King pointed his finger at me. "So you will be charged not only with kidnapping my daughter but also my granddaughter. We're also going to add how you killed your wife and everyone one else at Lunar Shadow." "What?" I whispered. Everybody's gaze turned to me. Joshua just looked confused, hell so was I. How on earth could I trust a murderer? I didn't want to be down here anymore. I moved from the wall and began heading to the stairs. "Luna, you know I wouldn't hurt her. You trusted me to bring you home knowing everything I done." I stopped and turned my head to him. "That's just it, I just found out who and what you are. I have no idea who you are apart from what was just said." I told him and his eyes widened, I turned away and began my ascend up the stairs. I heard Leonardo order Elliot to follow me. The big guy opened the door for me, I gave him a nod and walked out. I needed air but I had no idea how to navigate my way outside. I turned around and looked up at Elliot. "Can you take me outside? It's stuffy in here!" Considering this place was huge, it made me feel claustrophobic and hot being inside. He nodded his head and walked ahead of me. I mindlessly followed him, and in no time we were standing on the steps leading to a beautiful garden. "The Queen likes to garden!" He told me. It was absolutely stunning. Flowers and bushes all over the place, along with a few trees and a small waterfall in the back by the gazebo. I heard a kid cry out so I turned my gaze to the left and noticed a little girl on the ground holding her knee, Jorge was with her too. I found my feet leading me over to them, there was a woman with brown hair sitting a few feet away with a toddler and a little boy who was around Jorge's age not too far behind them. The toddler seemed to be fussing so she couldn't get up to check the girl. "Mommy," Jorge yelled and got up coming over to me. He grabbed my hand and pulled me over to the crying girl. My heart fluttered when he called me 'mommy' and i wasnt sure how to correct him, or if I should. "My mom is a doctor, she helps people." He said to the little girl. I sighed and crouched down to her level then sat on the grass. "You're the Princess!" She said, her eyes a little wide when she saw who I was. "I am, but you can call me, Evie!" I told her, I don't know why i wanted her to call me that, but it just seemed to fit. "What happened?" I asked her looking at her knee. "I tripped over a tree root and hurt my knee!" She said, her eyes still a little glassy from crying. She allowed me to look at her knee, it needed to be cleaned, there was grass and dirt in the cut. She looked like she hit a rockwhen she fell. I looked at where she was at, then behind her. There was a rock sticking out of the dirt, and that just confirmed my theory about her hitting a rock. I leaned down and kissed the top on it, don't know why I did that, I guess instict hit me and I found that I had done it just on that alone. When I pulled back there wasn't a mark on her knee, like she never hurt it at all. But I know what I saw, yet there wasn't a cut or brusing around the area at all. I heard Jorge giggle, he gave me a huge hug from the side then let go and hugged the little girl. What the hell just happened?
