Chapter 16: Starting the Mission

1066 Words
I stared at the calendar in my room. September 1st, 2018. The first day of my school and that is tomorrow. It has been a week since I started to live with Tyran . . . I mean, with Ty, who is my childhood friend and my husband and was going to be my science teacher. I sighed. This was complicated. But, a duty is a duty I guess. I needed to crake this case. My eyes fall onto the closet where my new school uniforms and makeups were there to dress up as a high school student. It was tomorrow and I would be starting school again. I sighed. I hoped tomorrow everything works out and I hope that Ty never finds out about my missions. It was risky for him. I didn't want to hurt my own childhood friend after finding him after so many years. Plus, he might hate me after finding that I am an Agent since he believed in peace where I was opposite and would go around and kick people's asses. I hoped everything would be alright. I looked at the time and noticed that it was 1 AM. I went to bed and cuddled on my blanket and fell asleep. I needed to get up early tomorrow. . . . . . . . Ring! Ring! I opened my eyes and noticed my phone alarm going on. I yawned as I rubbed my eyes. I looked at the clock and noticed that it was 5 am. I yawned again as I got off the bed and made my way towards the washroom. I went to the washroom and did my business and then did my ablutions. Then I quickly got out of the washroom and prayed my Fajr prayer. I quickly read the Holy Quran after that and noticed that it was already 6 am. My school started at 8:00 am and I had to be at school by 7:30 am. However, Ty was going to leave home before me to reach school early as he was a teacher there, which was food for me since I could use that time to disguise myself as a student. I got out of the room and ran downstairs and saw the kitchen light was turned on. "Ty?" I called out. "In the kitchen," I heard him say. I went to the kitchen and noticed him making breakfast. "Good morning," I said as I went near the kitchen counter where I saw him cutting some vegetables. "Morning Jess," he smiled. "Should I help?" I asked. "Yeah, if you can boil 2 eggs then that would be great," he answered, focusing on the knife. I nodded. I took a saucepan and out hot water on it. Then I put it on the stove and dump 2 eggs in it. So far, that's what I learned from Ty. "Done," I smiled. "Okay, now what?" "Now nothing," he answered as we went near the table to grab the loaf of bread. "Now, you sit and watch me make a mushroom sandwich " "That's lame, I sighed. Ty chuckled. "Oh well . . . I can't have my wife working for me all the time, right?" Wife, huh? I looked at Ty and noticed him smiling as he was putting mayonnaise on the bread. I smiled. Although I didn't like the term of husband and wife, it did sound nice when he called his wife like that. I watched him putting the sauces together and then he grabbed the front of the boiled egg he saucepan and mixed it with the mushrooms. I watched him cooking and once it was done, we are together. After that, I took the plates and put them in the dishwasher while he went upstairs to get ready for school. A few minutes later, I saw a Ty running downstairs wearing a slip t-shirt and jeans with a necktie and eyeglasses. I had to say he did look nice. "Jess, I will be leaving now," he said as he began to wear his shoes. I went near him and nodded. "Okay then. I will be leaving for work after you then." He nodded and then looked at me. "What was the place where you were working?" he asked. And as usual, I told him a lie. "I work in a store." "Okay then," he went near me and looked at me. "Be safe and watch out for strangers." I snorted. "You are saying as if I attract strangers." Ty laughed as he pulled me in a hug. His arms fit perfectly around my body. I felt a warmth touched of lips on my forehead. "See you later then," I heard a whisper. "Yeah," I said, not looking at him, trying to hide the blush that was on my cheeks. "Allah Hafiz," he smiled and then ran out of the house. I sighed. Well now, I needed to get ready. I quickly ran to my room and took out my school outfit. I strip my clothes and wore the school outfit. it was too with a skirt. I wore tights and then put some makeup on my skin. I used a few shades darker than my skin shade for foundation and then used the anti-age-rewinding concealer to make myself look younger. Then I used the contour to make myself look younger. I wore my fake thick glasses and put contact lenses in my eyes to change my eye colour to brown. Then I wore my hijab and looked at myself in the mirror. I did look like an 18-year-old high school kid now. I put my fake ID card on my purse and took out my school bag. I then ran out of the house and locked the door. I ran towards the bus stop to grab a school bus. Even though I had my car, I couldn't use it now. I stood in a line and got out of the school bus and after a few minutes, the bus stopped in front do the school. I got out of the bus and looked at the huge school in front of me. Starlight Colligate Institute. The place where I needed to be in disguise of a student and crake the case. I smiled as I looked around and noticed the students going towards the school main door. Well Starlight, here I come.
