I walked in the hallway as I titled my fake glasses a bit.
It was annoying to wear fake glasses since so I wasn't used to it.
I had to meet the principal before I go to class since I was a new student there.
I was at least glad that the principal knew my herself or else, it would have been hard to explain why suddenly I came to study in grade - 12.
I looked at the direction map of the school and made my way towards the principal's office. I knocked on the door.
"Come in," I heard a voice.
I opened the door and stepped in the principal's office when he saw me and stood from his chair and said, "Good morning, Agent Jade."
"Good morning, Mr. Scott and please call me Naila Naaz," I said as I grabbed the seat in front of him and sat down. "That's my fake name after all. You have to get used to it."
"My apologies, Agent-" he paused as he notices me looking at him angrily. "I mean, Naila."
I nodded.
Mr. Scott sat in his chair and said, "I hope it wasn't much trouble getting in here."
I smiled. "It's alright."
"Your homeroom teacher is on the way, Naila," he said using my fake name. "He will show you around the school and take you to your classroom."
I nodded. I hoped I am ready for this.
There was a knock on the principal's door.
"Come in," he said.
The principal's door opened and my homeroom teacher, who is my Science teacher, my childhood friend and my husband, came inside the room.
"Nalia, that is your classroom teacher, Mr. Ishfaq," Mr. Scott said.
I looked around and saw Ty wearing his shirt and pant and a neck tye on his neck.
My breath heaved a little. I felt my body trembling a bit. I was getting nervous. I just hoped he didn't found out.
Ty looked at me for a few minutes. It was as if he was trying to find something about me which was scaring me a bit.
I adjusted my fake glasses a little and acted on a role. I coughed a little to change my voice and used a heavier tune of voice to speak, "Good morning, Mr. Ishfaq."
Ty looked at me for a few more seconds, until Mr. Scott coughed.
"Oh, good morning," Ty said, looking at me. "I am going to be your science teacher, in the subject of biology, and I am your classroom teacher as well."
I nodded. "Nice to meet you, T-" I mistakenly said and paused when that grabbed his attention.
Darn it!
I quickly coughed again and said, "Nice to meet you, Mr. Ishfaq. I am Naila Naaz."
"Nice to meet you too, Naila," he said. "The school will be starting in a few minutes so I want you to follow me till classroom. I will be explaining some rules to you about school and how my biology class works."
"Okay," I said with my fake voice.
At least he wasn't suspecting me.
"I will see you later Naila and you too, Mr. Ishfaq," Mr. Scott said.
We nodded.
I got off the chair and began to follow Ty as he got out of the principal's room and began to walk towards the classroom.
The hallway was big and nice. All the kids were already inside the classroom.
"So, Naila, which school you used to be before you transfer to Starlight Colligate Institute?" Ty asked as he kept walking without looking at me.
My focus was not his question though. As we were going towards our classroom, I saw the library and even though we kept walking, I was turning my head back to see the library.
I needed to find time to go to the library again to search for evidence.
My eyes fell on the floor that was on the floor in front of the library. It was a bit muddy at a corner.
"Naila?" Ty said again.
"Calumet Colligate Institute," I said my actual high school name where I graduated a long time ago as I was still focusing on the muddy floor.
My eyes fell in the window beside the library. Somebody must have come from that window. Which also meant that there would be footprints behind the window walls. I need to check it out sometime-
"Ouch!" I bumped into the person in front of me and turned my head to the person and saw Ty.
"What are you doing?" he asked.
"I am sorry, Mr. Iqbal, "I used my fake voice and fixed my fake glasses again.
"Why were you looking back this way?" he asked.
"I am really sorry," I said, trying to act like a nervous kid.
"Whatever, follow me," he sighed as he made his way towards the classroom.
I followed him towards the classroom and then in a few minutes, we reached the classroom and went inside the classroom.
The classroom was big and organized. All the students were seated in the classroom.
"Good morning, class," Ty said.
"Good morning, Mr. Ishfaq," all the students said.
"We have a new student with us today," he said as he went near his desk, leaving me in front of the classroom.
"Naila, go ahead and introduce yourself," he said as he took a seat in his desk.
I looked at all the students and said, "Good morning everybody. I am Naila Naaz and it's nice to meet you. I hope to get along with everybody here. Thank you so much."
The students smiled at me and some even waved at me.
Wow, this was better than the stupid high school that I went when I was 17.
I was going to go towards the seat when I heard a whisper from Ty.
"Naila, just letting you know something," Ty said in a whisper so that only I could hear it from a distance.
"Yes?"
"I am very strict with my students but which also means that there are also times when I am good with them," he said. "However, I don't tolerate any sort of lie in my classroom."
My stomach twist.
I looked at Ty.
What did he mean? Did he just say that as a piece of advice or was he suspecting me?
