“Huh?”
Harper smiles at me with a raised eyebrow.
“Sorry,” I mumble with a smile. “I was miles away.”
“I couldn’t tell,” I roll my eyes at her sarcasm, but she winks at me, making me laugh. “Seriously, what’s up?”
I like Harper; she and Katy have become my friends since we started training together. I initially had doubts, but I see them as my best friends.
Sure, everyone in the pack is friendly now, but these two are my best friends. It makes me miss my friends back home, but I’m glad that I have the two of them.
I drop down on the bench, wiping the sweat from my brow with the towel Harper handed me. Lorcan didn’t go through with his threat to have Emily train me. I think he realized that I’d either rebel or rip her head off.
