After Lorcan surprised me with the bandstand and listened to me play the violin, he’s been distant. When he wrapped his hand around my throat, I was terrified that he was going to kill me finally. I trusted him not to hurt me again, but he did. Okay, he didn’t hold me tightly enough to cause me any damage, and he didn’t squeeze. But he hurt my feelings. I don’t want us to go backward.
