Chapter 4
Marco
I was sitting in my cabin, minding my own business when I heard incessant knocking at the door. “Ok hold on I’m coming.” If that girl forgot her keys again I swear I will give her what for. “If you’re banging on the door because you were to stupid to remember your- Alpha”. I was shocked to see Alpha Zander standing there. “What can I do for you?” He pushed his way inside followed by a few warriors I had been training. I watched as he looked around the cabin. “There have been some disturbing revelations within the past couple hours. INvolving you and your niece and we need to talk about them.” I shook my head. “What is that girl lying about now?” I asked calmly. I know she would never tell them the whole truth so I just want to get this over with and discipline her. “Oh she is not lying. But you are. I am the Alpha. How dare you think that you can deceive me. How long has this gone on?” My wolf whimpered. ”Don’t get us turned rouge. Tell him. Apologize.” I probably should listen, but I am a stubborn man. My wolf has more sense. “ I don’t know what she told you. Sure. I have had to discipline her a bit, but what is to be expected? She runs out all hours with all manner of wolf and doesn’t do her chores. It’s really a lot of effort to try to rein her in.”
Before I knew it the alpha had ripped a stripe of me. “Lies. I will give you one more chance to tell me the truth.” I sighed. “ The girl is hard headed. We bump heads. She doesn’t understand words. You have to be tough with her. Firm. It isn't something you would understand. You don’t have a daughter. Girls are just different from how they used to be.” My explanation was met with growls. f**k. “Marco Rista, I Alpha Zander Brymon of the Brimstone Pack revoke your membership and demote you to rouge. If you ever so much as come within fifty feet of Cor I will not hesitate to kill you. You have one hour to collect your belongings and leave the land.” My wolf howled at feeling the pain of the demotion. I nodded. I doubted I needed an hour. What I would need time to do is plan my revenge. Corina thought she had suffered while living here. That is nothing compared to what she will face in the future. She stole everything from me. Everything. Then had the gall to parade around like some little innocent. I still have no idea how she survived the m******e at the house. I sent the perfect men to do the job. They were silent. How she managed to escape and live I have no idea, but her time is limited. I will reclaim what is mine.
I went through the house taking the bare minimum of what I would need to start executing my plan. I purposely left a few items behind, things to scare the girl. No doubt she would think she had won some major victory. Soon, it was time to go. Word of my banishment had spread quickly and a few wolves came to see me off. Some said things like they would look out for Corina like I gave a damn. Misty came up to me as I neared the border. "I will keep an eye out for you. I can't believe this is happening." She pressed her lips to mine. "Me either. It's all Corina and the lies she's been telling. I thought I did that girl a favor you know. Keeping her with family and not letting her be rogue or shuffled around and this is how she repays me." I see anger cross her face. "Oh don't worry about her. She'll get hers. " Exactly what I wanted to hear. "I'll call you once I get settled." She nodded and stepped back. I headed on across the invisible border and stepped into my new life as a rogue. It wouldn't be this way for long though. I'll be back real soon to get what belongs to me. Just you wait Corina.
