"Did anyone tell you that you're a swine?" Eleanor asked him. "You're the only brave but stupid one to do so." He stated glancing at her. "So in other words I'm not afraid of you as you wish me to be." She smirked. "Did anyone ever tell you that you talk too much?" He asked her. "No." She shook her head. "Oooo lets go in here." She gestured to the Samsung store. "No." He now had his poker face back on. "I told you we're done with this shopping trip once you've got what you need for tomorrow." "But I also told you that I need a phone unless you still have my old one which I highly doubt." She stated matter of factly. Roman grumbled a few perfornitues before marching into the store. Eleanor followed behind him with a smile plastered on her face. "Be quick about it." He grumbled. "The white Samsung S7 edge and a black army cover." She told him. Roman walked up to the cashier and got everything sorted out while she messed around with the display phone. After a while Roman came up to her with a plastic bag. "Can we get ice cream?" She asked looking up at him. "Eleanor." He breathed out closing his eyes. "Please." She tugged at his arm. "You woman-napped me and currently keeping me on lock down 24/7." "Are you trying to guilt trip me?" He asked looking down into her big dooy brown eyes. "Is it working?" She asked with a bright smile. "No." He bluntly answered. "We're leaving." "Oh c'mon Roman." She exclaimed. "I haven't had any sweets ever since I could remember." She whined. "That's a shame." He simply placed his hands in his pockets. "Roman please." She pulled at his arm in the direction of the store. "Please." She began to use all her strength to stop him from walking. "No." "I'll make a scene." She said letting go of his arm. Roman stopped walking and turned to her. Eleanor wore a smirk on her face. "You wouldn't dare." "I would." She nodded. Roman closed his eyes taking in a deep breath. He opened his eyes as he exhaled lowly. Eleanor grabbed his arm dragging him towards the convenient store across the street from the mall. "You better make this trip count because I will never allow this to happen." Roman muttered. "If that's the case..." She trailed out taking out almost all the flavours of Ben&Jerry's ice cream. Once she got the ice cream she got a whole bunch of sweets and snacks along with cereal since they didn't have any back at Roman's house. "You're going to become fat." Roman stated as he watched the cashier ring up everything. "I won't." She stated proudly. "I eat this much and yet I maintain this hot body." She placed her hands on her hips. Roman looked at her from head down to her white crop sweater, grey sweatpants that ended under her knees then down to her feet where she wore sneakers. His eyes went back up to meet her eyes. "I've seen better." He simply said giving the man his card. "Sure...that's why you just didn't check me out right now." She rolled her eyes. "Whatever floats your boat." ~¤~ That night Eleanor found it extremely difficult to sleep she had no idea why she did but she did. Her mind had been keeping her up. No matter how much she tried to make herself fall asleep it seemed to be physically impossible. She got up from her bed and began making her way downstairs. When she got to the kitchen her eyes widened a fraction to see Roman sitting on the bar stole eating the ice cream she had choose. She cleared her throat making him look up at her. "I do believe that's mine." She stated walking further into the kitchen. "I bought it." He simply shrugged. She got a spoon and sat besides him before grabbing the tub from him and taking a spoon full then handing it back. "Rough night?" She asked him. He smirked. "Yeah I mean she was-" "That's not what I meant." She cut him off with a slight laugh. "Oh..." He trailed off before putting a spoon of ice cream into his mouth. "How about you?" He asked after he had swallowed. "I couldn't sleep at all." She shrugged. "My mind is neglecting me from sleep." She another spoon of ice cream in her mouth. "She doesn't know how to sleep. She's taking up the bed." Roman murmured. "Ugh shame." She faked her care with a slight laugh again. "Sleep in a spare bedroom." "I like my bed." He faced her. "Then sleep on the couch." She shrugged her shoulders licking the spoon clean. "No." He bluntly said. She simply nodded ignoring how blunt he was towards her. Once she had finished the ice cream in her mouth she turned to him as she locked her lips. "Why did you bring me here?" She asked him. "You and I both know that I would've kept quiet but yet you brought me here and I want to know why." "As much as I'd like to tell you, I can't and I won't." He shook his head as he stood up. Her hand reach out and grabbed his making him stop. "Roman please just tell me. I at least deserve your reason of bringing me here." She said looking up at him. "At least I know I wasn't brought here for nothing." She whispered the last part. "I can't tell you because I don't want you becoming all emotional." He stated shaking his head pulling himself from her and walking around the table. Eleanor jumped up and stood in his way. "Roman I deserve to know." She argued. "No." He shook his head. "Why do you care about me becoming all emotional? It's not like you've ever cared now just tell me." She pressured. He stepped closer to her making their chests touch. He dipped his head low towards her ear. His lips brushed against her earlobe. "If I didn't care I would've told you the moment I saw you." He stated. "So you knew me before we spoke?" She asked stepping away so she could see his face. He didn't say anything he just pressed his lips against her temple. "Get some rest." He told her before walking away. She put her hand up to her temple and slowly touched it as she heard him go up the stairs. She looked over at the ice cream tub to see there was half of it. She put the lid back on it before turning off the light and going upstairs. Now she was able to sleep... ~¤~ All morning Eleanor hadn't seen Roman all morning and she was hoping to see him to discuss the events of last night. She didn't know whether she wanted the repeat of last night, something more or to flat out never to happen again. She could still feel his soft lips on her temple wishing she felt them on her lips but then again she didn't want too. This is confusing. She's even confused by her own mind. She ran her hand down her face as she fiddled with the paper work. She had been trying to get lost in her work but she couldn't because her mind simply wouldn't allow her too. It was more difficult to focus on work and the last, rather needy, patient since Jolene had left early to get ready for Roman's grand opening to his club. She felt as if she could pass out and forget everything that had happened in the past two days. "Elley." Gabriel stood at the door way of her office. "Yeah?" She looked up from her desk. "Lets get going you need to prepare for tonight." He stated. "You know on second thought I'm rather busy tonight and I can't go." She stated looking back down at her work. "Tell Roman I couldn't make it and to have fun." She stated. "Elley are you ok?" He asked entering the office. "Yeah why?" She asked him. "Because you've been on edge the whole day. Did something happen yesterday?" "Nope I'm just disorientated." "Well you should come and I'm not asking you this time." She groaned before getting up and gathering her stuff before leaving out with him.
